    On TH-cam, there is a great exaggeration in describing the pain to the point that others feel fear and anxiety. I tried Invisalign, and the process of installing the attachments and wearing the aligners for the first time did not involve much pain. Just a little pressure that the patient quickly gets used to.

    Quick tip, that is not how you floss, you need to get the floss under your gum, go down along the one side of the tooth and get the floss under the gum, then move to the other side. There is no point in flossing the way you demonstrated. Look it up and keep your gums healthy.

    I can totally understand your comforting feeling when the aligners are in...I feel the same with mine...knowing that something is happening is progress and that’s definitely something to smile about 😁

    I just started my invisalign treatment on Tuesday and they put the attachments on the first fitting. The trays were extremely hard to take off I spent like 10 mins in the bathroom struggling and panicking thinking ill never eat again lol. But I completely understand the feeling of needing to bite down on something I've been telling my bf that I need some chew toys lol.

      I marched myself right into the infant’s section at the department store and bought myself a chew toy after reading someone’s recommendation to do so. No shame in my game! 😂. Its so much better than the chew stick that the orthodontist gives you, which was way too hard and gave me anxiety every time before I had to use it. I love my new chew toy!

      Does the feeling of needing to chew things go away or do you chew on things for the entirety of your treatment?

    OMG. The first day I got them on (attachments and IPR on day one), I woke up in the middle of the night in a panic feeling almost claustrophobic with them in.
    Luckily I haven’t experienced any pain at all just more slight sensitivity in the roots of the teeth that are moving during that tray.
    Tray 7 for me!! 🙋‍♀️

      Hi! Does that claustrophobic feeling of them being in ever go away?

    • @AEW0416
      @AEW0416 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@rosescott6944 Absolutely. It took me a couple of days to get used to them but that was it. I’m at 10 months now and my first round of revisions. It doesn’t bother me at all having them in now. The only ‘cons’ for me is seeing my dentist far more than I ever wanted to (ha ha) and having to constantly brush and floss after every meal. I’d just like to sit and relax after a nice meal, ya know? 🙂 Trust me. It’s ALL worth it. Good luck with your journey.

      Thanks Heidie, I'm expecting I'll have invisalign for a year or longer. I'm making a time-lapse video and will post updates during my journey too!

    Where did you go?

  • @MoeHoney-we5bd
    @MoeHoney-we5bd 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    So I go Monday to get impressions does that means I will get trays then or do I wait until 4 weeks to get them

    • @EmmaSandy
      @EmmaSandy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had my teeth scanned, then waited 6 weeks before putting my first trays in. The ortho spent some time working out a plan for my teeth, and then the trays were printed and shipped. So getting the trays in about 4 weeks sounds right!

    are you based in the USA? Is the camera thing normal to get?

    • @EmmaSandy
      @EmmaSandy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm based in Scotland. I think they're new, and defo not everyone gets one, as not all orthos use the system. I just got it as my ortho uses it and meant less appointments. But totally not essential for treatment :)

    • @leggz2di4
      @leggz2di4 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Orthos have been giving them out because of the pandemic. Prevents frequent visits. Some orthos charge for it though.

      I’m in the UK, London. I started Invisalign this week. I didn’t get any of those fancy things you got.
      lol all I got was the Invisalign case and one chewie . Maybe it all depends on the clinc or country!
