Six months into invisalign, and I've got some tips and tricks to share!
I have multiple toothbrushes. I have a wee tooth brush station set up nearby. Containing brush, toothpaste, floss and mouthwash, it's MUCH easier to get my teeth clean and trays back in quickly. Less faffing and hunting for things.
Trays getting stained even although you brushed your teeth? I drink bright purple blackcurrant juice, and, no matter how perfectly I brush my teeth, my tongue retains the dye. SO. I say brush your tongue. I guess coffee and tea stain would be harder to see on the back of your tongue. But I really do think that's the clincher. Treat yourself to a tongue scraper.
Yep. Sorry to be the one to break it to you. Floss after every meal. Trays can get a little tight and push in the wrong direction if there's food all up in places there shouldn't be.
Have a chewie chew before bed. Sleeping is a huge chunk of time in a day. Make sure your trays are settled in before sleeping.
Don't wear lipstick.

Hi there, I have invisalign for a month now and I use lip liners for lipstick with a lip balm and it does not get on my aligners. Just outline your lips and blend down a little bit, put a bit of lip balm on and I have enough color with no transfer. Also, KVD lipstain is good too, just outline with it, use lip balm, perfect. 😊
also, for brushing teeth without a sink, always carry a water bottle with you, and of course a little bag with travel toothbrush and toothpaste...then you can brush your teeth anywhere

Use a lip liner pencil to put color on your lips then a clear gloss. The color will stay put. I’m awaiting my trays to come in. Sooo excited to get started. Thanks for all the info in your videos. 😊

It's a shame that this video doesn't have as many views like other tips videos. A lot of these tips are really useful. I have been using many of these tips for some time now, but had I known about them from the beginning then my treatment would have been easier from the start.

I keep having the aligner rubbing on my gums, it’s so annoying.
Lip stain works for me. I also use my finger to wipe off excess stain in the center of my lips. Put you index finger in my mouth, round you lips around it and pull out. Excess should be on your finger

I start my Invisalign around January time. Thank you for the tricks and tips. After you’ve completed all your trays how long do you wear the retainer for? 22 hours a day is go long. I hope I don’t gag
you wear retainers full time then switch to night time after a period of time
Have you found yours to be painful? Mine are super sore and can’t seem to shift the pain! X
The pain goes away in time. For my trays that hurt, they'd feel fine in 3 days. Snapping them back in was the worst, but if they were rinsed under warm (not hot hot) water first, it was easier. Also put new trays in right before bed so you're asleep for the first few hours. X
I only realised that my tongue was holding onto food colouring because I drink blackcurrant juice and it's BRIGHT purple. So now I make double sure my tongue is scrubbed before putting my trays back in. I guess I would have never noticed that with only tea/coffee stains!
