Years ago I was a Reno, Nevada cab driver. Three young Brits got in my cab one day, Royal Marines who said they had been up in the Sierras at the United States Marine Mountain Warfare Center. I asked them what they were doing up there... Training With Our American Brothers, they told me.
My company did the same training in April of last year but we weren’t allowed to be pulled by the tracks! We had to ski 180km over the 3 weeks and pull all over or gear in the pulca. So 3/8 got the easier exercise! Lol
Yea right, you want Cold Weather Training ? Then go to Fort Greely or Fort Wainwright Alaska in October, November and December. When went there for Artic warfare and survial school the high was 30 Below Zero and the Low was around -50 to 60 Below Zero. No snow cats to pull us .
