- U.S. Marines with 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division and U.K. Royal Marines with 45 Commando participate in a Force on Force exercise as a part of Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) 2-19 at Range 220 on Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California, Jan. 27, 2019.

I don't think this is an apples to apples comparison here, sorry.
US Marines and Royal marines aren't meant for the same kinds of purposes. The US Marines, while formidable, are meant for larger scale operations these days (in general). Royal Marines are more akin to special forces.
A closer comparison would be between say:
Army Green Berets vs. Royal Marines Commando
Navy SEALs vs. Royal Marines Commando
Marines Force Recon/Raiders vs. Royal Marines Commando
Air Force Special Operations vs. Royal Marines Commando
While the USMC is definitely badass, let's not make two ways about it, just because it shares a word in the name doesn't make it the same thing as a special forces group. How the US trains, defines, and uses its marines is not the same as how the UK trains, defines, and uses its marines.

However, kindly note that you might need to perhaps recognize too that the US Army Rangers & the 75th Mountain Regiment roughly corresponds to No. 43 Royal Marines Commandos - Arctic & Mountain Warfare Tactical Group & that the US Navy SEALS’ opposite number equivalents in the Royal Marines (RN) Commandos are the SBS - Special Boat Service!
@@theoraclerules5056 SFSG boat squadron is more like the Navy SEALs. SBS would be more on par with DEVGRU (SEAL team 6)
Extra Tom: Yes, you are correct here. SBS is the equivalent of the SEAL TEAM 6 or as much as it can be, given the varying & uniquely specialized structures & operational objectives etc. of each of these units.
All those US commandos you mentioned are higher then RM. You don't have the same tier as US. RM are comparable to US Recon Marines.
Ok, but Royal Marines beign so called special operations as you mentioned, US Marines grunts are special operations CAPABLE...even Recon will always take from grunts bodies to train...read or do more research...
And no disrespect to our Royal Marines, but US Marine training is brutal, starting point at boot camp.

For all the people asking about camouflage in here (especially for our UK boys) we dont use multicam or OCP. It’s out own variant known as MTP that is effectively multicam.

@@jrw3349 its improved since then the sa80a3 is a good weapon however all royal marines are now moving to the colt Canada C8 rifle over the next couple years with many already issued it for certain roles

Not so much any more. They were dire at one point. The mag release was prominent and on the left side of the rifle, which meant the mags would fall out during a tactical advance to battle. However the entire stock were refitted over a couple of years by H&K, and the result was an outstanding piece of kit.
I had a blast training with them! 🤙🏻

US marines and Royal Marines are completely different. Ones an elite commando unit while the other is slightly better infantry compared to the army

45 Commando beat the Yank Marines 2-0. We whooped the first lot it was quite embarrassing. Second force on force they were better but we still came out on top. They even had greater numbers.
We took the ground of them so fast we gave them a 12hr cease fire so they could move back into the ground we took hahah. Then took it straight back off them.
Maybe next time 🇬🇧💪🏻🇺🇸

@@uesugiseigen8030 Right so basically it's mock combat force on force and they have blank firing attachments on the end for the exercises however there is a kind of laser/ detection control on the rifles/ kit to indicate if a hit has been made and if so whether the causality would be considered wounded or dead depending on the area they are hit.

Abstergo industries. Official Channel. It’s a blank firing attachment (BFA). It traps the gas that is supposedly to exit from the barrel. As a result, it forces the gas pressure to travel back towards the bolt thus ejecting the blank cartridges.
It will also stop a live round if you have been a total knob and accidentally loaded live ammo. Never tried it though ;-)

Its called a SMAW, its an 84 mm recoilless rocket. its made for hitting bunkers, vehicles hardened positions.

@@snowtfl5617 Britain had to make 3 itterations of it and on the 3rd they had to get H&K from Germany to try to fix it. It's definately an accurate and reliable platform, it just sucks for other reasons like eurgonomics.

@@viniciobrancato4900 Leaving out the point it has a longer barrel than an m16 yet is shorter than an m4? Its an absolutely outstanding rifle especially the a3 with the addition of a free floating barrel. Americans had trouble with the M4 in Afghanistan due to the ranges.

Good experience for all none the less.
Apparently are royal marines used an old phone for communication. Since the U. S had no way to intercept the communications they had no idea what to do.
