  • Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Injections use a person's own platelets in order to speed up the natural healing process of injuries like tennis elbow, arthritis, and plantar fasciitis. Kevin Jillson, MD, of Milford Regional Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, provides this special treatment and details the process.

I had a 90% tear of my rotator cuff and a single PRP treatment encouraged my body to completely heal itself in about 6 months.

I’m not going to say that this doctor isn’t qualified or doesn’t know what he’s talking about, however, when he said something along the lines of, “you will be able to resume your daily activities in a few days,” is definitely not consistent with my personal experience. Had an injection to treat tennis elbow four days ago and i’m still unable to brush my teeth with the affected arm due the extreme pain. I am not taking any medication, as I was instructed not to take any anti-inflammatories and Tylenol doesn’t really seem to help. I’m still very optimistic, but I’m guessing it’s going to be at least a few weeks before I am able to resume my daily activities in a pain-free manner and possibly another two weeks before I can go back to work as an electrician? Good luck to all of you, and I still think this is way safer and potentially more beneficial than Cortizone, and obviously much less invasive than surgery.

Please share your after shot experience. I'm in elbow pain...but I'm scared if prp worth the after 💉 pain...and what's the recovery and healing time like.
      Please 🙏 reply

Might PRP help an ovary thats been removed from the pelvic wall heal without re-adhering to the pelvic wall?

Do you think that PRP could prove useful at least a bit in treating heel fat pad syndrome? I am seriously considering it since don't have any other option to try. My fat pad did not atrophy much but it has been very stiff and at the time of doing MRI - inflamed. After many months of rest and other conservative measures, no progress. It is a severely depressing thing not being able to walk for more than few minutes in my mid-twenties..

Hello - I was diagnosed 20 years ago with Lymphoma Follicular.
11 years ago, I had chemo treatment (RCHOP).
Since then the disease has been in remission.
My PLT in blood test Aug 2023 is 158.
Is this a limitation for getting PRP injection (hip pain in the last 4 years)?
    Thank you.

Im at week 4 and started having bad pain again this week i could hardly walk if i need another injection should i see an Orthopedic doctor or a Physio doctor?
