I've actually often felt that act 2 of the stage version moves a bit too quickly at times, probably so as not to put too much of a strain on theatre-goers. But if the material they add is largely in act 2, I'm totally fine with it. I hope we'll see more about how Nessa governs munchkinland, how Elphaba is trying to help the animals across the land, how the witch-hunters actually storm her castle, how Elphie captures Dorothy etc.

If you listen closely, right when Elphaba tries on the hat, they're playing the Miss Gulch/Wicked Witch musical motif from the '39 movie. So cool!

I don't care for the way their handling this half comes out this November the second part comes next november.
