    Retrotime N64 BlueRetro Controller Receiver allows you to wirelessly connect modern Bluetooth controllers to your Nintendo 64. Your favourite Xbox, Switch and PlayStation controllers can now be connected to the good old N64! In this video, I'm going to show you how well it performs with different controllers and check out some customization options. How does dual stick Goldeneye 64 or mouse and keyboard StarCraft 64 sound? This adapter is based on the awesome open source BlueRetro platform and many tricks in this video work on other consoles too. The adapter even doubles as Controller Pak (N64 Memory Card) or Rumble Pak in supported games.

      Wow, thanks! I've done similar tricks on emulators in the past, it was so cool to finally be able to use keyboard and mouse on real hardware 😎
      Thanks for creating this awesome project. I was considering building a receiver myself, but I couldn't figure where to find the n64 connectors. Now I'm considering getting BlueRetro for all my consoles.

      Ya, i was trying to do the similar thing this weekend but after several hours I concluded that Im unable to get second controller recognised by games. Did you set Device 2 destination to Output 1? That's what I had to do to get keyboard and mouse working. Should have probably shown that in the video 😅 But maybe I'll make a tutorial about that

      @@joonamo I know this. I cant make imputs from second controller to register anywhere no matter the setting. In the past i recorded and uploaded vid showing 2 controllers connected and working in game. I cant even do this now. Both controllers connected to adapter and thats it. Luckily i have two adapters so I can play with Bro but no weird setting for me till it start working again

    • @joonamo
      @joonamo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      8bitdo actually has made a N64 controller replica, but they don't mention it on their website. I think it wasn't very popular, especially since you couldn't use it with the actual system. • @joonamo
      @joonamo  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @retroshane8844 Nintendo 64 games are quite laggy sub-30 fps overall, so I can't really say 😅 The blue retro adapter itself should have minimal lag, but I've experienced some lag for other 8bitdo wireless controllers especially when there's more than one used at the same time. Probably good enough for Mario Sunshine, but maybe not for competitive Smash

    • @joonamo
      @joonamo  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @jshepard152 the Nintendo connector actually outputs composite and s-video, you just need a cable. Retrotink with the default cables is already a big improvement. I checked some US retro stores like Castlemania and Stone Age Gamer, but they were currently out of stock.
      There's also an adapter called Rad2x that is based on Retrotinks, but they can also be a bit difficult to find.
