At this point I would literally watch you react to the entire Opeth discography. So many good suggestions here, pick anything, you'll be amazed and I'll be happy for you.
Awesome as usual. Love seeing people "get" good music! The cool thing about bands like Opeth is their songs don't get old. They just get better and better the more you listen to them because you start learning all the peaks and valleys and you notice more little technical flairs each time you listen. Keep it up guys, you're one of the best!
@@andthegreatcolddeathofthee1737 at first I avoided the growls of Opeth but Drapery Falls was the one song (as well as bleak) because of the clean vocals and that slow getting used to the growls led me to loving the growls. I think I've just moved on from Drapery Falls as it's no where near my favorite anymore. Still a good song tho
Ghost Reveries might be the greatest metal album ever made....only to be challenged by other Opeth albums. Beyond amazing. Mikael is a true musical genius imo....my musical background consists of a bachelor's and master's in music.
You guys MUST do OPETH WHEN.. Their best song...guarentee u guys will love it...been an opeth fan since orchid, saw their 2nd u.s. show ever n seen them like 15 times, and when will always be my fave song, the my arms your hearse record is a masterpiece
Perfection died in 1650 and was reincarnated into Mikael Åkerfeldt. There's no better way to describe Mikael's music and as performed by Opeth live or on albums where it seems every instrument have been through a particular choice for each note what to play and where, although it might just be several playthroughs getting there or even ideas being built as they record in the studio, or it could just be Mikael's vision comes through in a genius way by him and his formidable bandmembers. His genius is not only in the riffing but all the more in the transitions and giving you just the perfect amount of each moment. Bach would be proud. That's the only way I can describe his music. I wouldn't want to change a thing anywhere - much like I wouldn't want to change anything in Bach's music. Bach made thousands of pieces of music - I hope Mikael does too. Love the reaction, btw. :-) As many people already said, go throught the catalogue, you don't even have to pick just don't touch the pick-up.
Ghost reveries is the best album ever done...all categories! It's breathtaking in every possible way. I cry when I listen to it. The Talent of Opeth is beyond everything
I am so glad they wrote this album with Lopez still in the band. While Axe is still a good drummer, it just wouldn't be the same. The drumming on this album was a huge highpoint.
Your reaction videos are so gooood. I look the same. It took me 4 months to learn basic opeth stuff on guitar ( i started with ghost of perdition). It's mind-blowing how Mikael wrote that piece. Sending love from the Czech Republic!
I came as soon as I saw the notification. I've followed these guys and they honestly are the best reactors to Opeth songs. They really get into their music and enjoy the details. You're ready for The Moor and won't regret it.
It's such a trip to watch adults hear this for the first time, totally agree! My first Opeth experience was my freshman year of high school living in germany with my family in 1996. This video made me feel young again while simultaneously feeling old as shit, lol.
D_MUSIC_LIFE - Would you please, with your wife, do a reaction to the band: SOEN? They have tons of great music but following you since the car days I believe you’d really dig either Martyrs or another track called Antagonist. These guys are a super group with Opeth’s former drummer Mr. Lopez. You’re missing out, my friends! Love you 2 otherwise. Happy Thanksgiving friends!!
I think they'd prefer songs such as Opponent, Sectarian or Opal as an introduction to the band. Antagonist and Martyrs are too political and could be too controversial topics
Seen them live Three times. All epic sets, each one completely different. Opeth!!! Look up Katatonia...they toured with Opeth, saw them twice with Opeth.
I've seen your reaction once more and I think it's great to see how you respond to Opeth. To be honest, the Ghost Reveries album should be listened to in full length and it would be awesome to see you react to it. Listen to Opeth is like going to the theatre and watch the pictures in your mind be drawn by the music, it becomes a performance of a drama. The album is the play and the songs are the acts.
ahh im enjoying this roller coaster opeth ride with you guys \m/ - IVE seen a few requests for ' The Lotus Eater ' and so i thought id also throw in for that one as i feel it doesnt get enough love
Ok, so the obvious thing to do would be to go ahead to "Beneath the Mire", the track that follows this one on the album. But what I personally would love see would be a double: listen to The Grand Conjuration with all its heaviness and then let that fade into the album's concluding "Isolation Years", one of the most beautiful tracks by Opeth.
I like you folks but I have not heard Opeth and wanted to see because Queen TaTi says she learned from these folks keep up the good work I love watching you just subbed because of that later!
Awesome reaction guys!. Opeth can do no wrong! 🤘Ya guys need to check out Heir Apparent and the Lotus Eater from their 2008 album Watershed. It's their last album with death growls before they changed to 70s prog rock style .
At this point Ghost Reveries is a classic. Every song in this album is amazing.
Except for hours of wealth
@@Celatra Hours of wealth is one of the best songs on the album lol
@@dissonantpulse far from it, isolation years is a much better ballad
@@Celatra That's true but it's better song than The Grand Conjuration.
Yep, Rush 2112, Sabbath Master of Reality, Zeppelin IV, and Opeth Ghost Reveries.
Just when I was about to be productive, But I will never skip an opeth video
dude same hahahaha
Same.
At this point I would literally watch you react to the entire Opeth discography. So many good suggestions here, pick anything, you'll be amazed and I'll be happy for you.
This the most unsung masterpiece in their collection. Quintessential Opeth!
It is. WIth a proper sound setup it's like being hit by a train of awesomeness. When the song ends, I'm all shaky.
The chord 5:24 and transition into 5:28 is the darkest/most evil riff I've ever heard.
The whole album is a jewel.
The Entire Still Life album
Great shout! I don’t think I have seen them listen to anything from that record yet
Oh, please!! I hope they react to White Cluster.
"Demon of the Fall" is a must.
Yep pretty similar !
Yeah, Demon of the Fall next please!
U damn right !
finally, someone said it.
Karma is better imo
Opeth - Serenity Painted Death
I second this. Best song from still life imo
Yessssss 🙏🙏🙏
🤩
For Opeth, please review Heir Apparent or Face of Melinda!!

The Moor, Windowpane, Cusp Of Eternity, The Devil's Orchid, or The Lotus Eater
Orchard*
All good but my all time favorite The Drapery Falls!
@@andthegreatcolddeathofthee1737 at first I avoided the growls of Opeth but Drapery Falls was the one song (as well as bleak) because of the clean vocals and that slow getting used to the growls led me to loving the growls. The Lotus Eater is FIRE.
The end of devil's orchard gives me chills every time with that solo
This is genuinely a pretty accurate representation of my first reaction to Opeth. No words just pure joy and a lot of WHAT
Please put their song “The Lotus Eater” in the poll.
Moonlapse Vertigo always melts my mind, from the Still Life album. The Funeral Portrait is a great heavy hitter from Blackwater Park
Perhaps my favorite Opeth track. Everything that makes them great in a nutshell. Admittedly, a pretty big nutshell. :D
A Fair Judgement is a must but so many classics, I envy you diving in for the first time. Great channel
0:30 “Best made tacos of the earth, diabolical beans”I can never unhear it😂
The drums at 3:06 man. Been a fan for about 14 years and it still gives me chills. Nice reactions of the band! Keep them coming! :)
There is more musical ideas in this song than into an entire pop album :))
Ghost Reveries might be the greatest metal album ever made....only to be challenged by other Opeth albums. Beyond amazing. Mikael is a true musical genius imo....my musical background consists of a bachelor's and master's in music.
Godhead's lament plz, that's one of my favs, YES MORE OPETH PLEASE!

I love watching your reactions. Reminds me of the first time I opened my opeth induction. I was and have remained an Opeth fan.
Ghost reveries is the best album ever done...all categories! It's breathtaking in every possible way. I cry when I listen to it. The Talent of Opeth is beyond everything
Grand conjuration is another beast of a song on the same album

HEIR APPARENT PLEASE
i second this! 🤘
I third this. One of their absolute heaviest songs for sure.
Preceded by Coil, it's a must.
I enjoyed watching them having so much fun for listening to this song for the first time. It's kind of how I reacted to Opeth for the first time
Opeth - The Moor. You have to do Still Life, one of the greatest albums I have ever heard.
It’s crazy that you’ve done 5 fantastic songs from this band and you’ve still only scratched the surface of what Opeth has to offer
I agree, still life is a superb album
Finally.
YES!!! More Opeth!
I waited a month to see you guys blown away again.
Love watching you guys react. Next best thing to hearing these tunes myself for the first time.
I came as soon as I saw the notification. I've followed these guys and they honestly are the best reactors to Opeth songs. They really get into their music and enjoy the details. You're ready for The Moor and won't regret it.
I love Opeth and this lady...she is soooo beautiful
Guys, please try Windowpane or Burden to hear a different side by Opeth
Love your guys reactions to Opeth. Been one of my top favorites for over 15 years. Your reaction is pure and beautiful. Love it ❤
i wished i could listen to these song for the first time as an adult haha.

Face of Melinda! It’s a song that gives a different vibe from the others you’ve heard and one of their best!
One of their best songs imo

Can’t go wrong with Ghost Reveries, it’s a masterpiece! Beneath the Mire is the next track! Go for it! 🤘🍻

Ghost Reveries was the first album I ever heard of Opeth. I was floored. Haven't looked back. My favourite band of all time.
I love this video!
It reminded me of the emotion I felt when i first heard this track many years ago, and that’s simply amazing, so thank you
Opethian for life
Starting to really like you guys. Thanks for the vids.
Definitely check out Bleak. Absolute Opeth masterpiece
One of the most dynamic songs in the universe.
Opeth is the pinnacle of what music should be.
They are absolutely amazing live, too. Even better than the album.
BRO THE LEPPER AFFINITY, THE LOTUS EATER, THE GRAND CONJURATION, HEIR APPARENT

One of my favorite track from them, period.
It’s time to change it up... try Harvest or Windowpane... and your training will be complete, Opeth master you will be.
What a masterpiece of songwriting. Excellent !
Love you guys! DEMON OF THE FALL LIVE RED ROCKS!!!!!!
ahh im enjoying this roller coaster opeth ride with you guys \m/ - IVE seen a few requests for ' The Lotus Eater ' and so i thought id also throw in for that one as i feel it doesnt get enough love
This song (like many in their repertoire) are a roller coaster that never stops, pushing you from despair to delightful catharsis.
This song is great to put on in the background and find yourself losing your shit while you clean the house
This is my favourite reaction video period!
Yeeees! Love this one, love watching y'all's emotional rollercoasters, lol

you guys should do a mega listen to their whole discography album by album at this point, I wouldn't mind hahaha

It's time to unleash the beasts!
The Moor and Demon of the Fall :)

love the Caifanes shirt!!
Hoollyyy shitt..... How did I miss that one from Opeth... What a composition...
Opeth is a musical roller coaster one of the greats.
3:20 on is pure sorcery. Lopez in his 6/4 groove is without comparison.
Caifanes! YEAH LOVE THEM TOO
"The Moor" by Opeth is a great song, brutal and nasty riffs and beautiful acoustic sections for you to enjoy!
Leprous - Contaminate Me (Live at Rockefeller Music Hall)
You guys will be in awe!
Harlequin Forest is sublime.
They already did that
Awesome reaction guys!. Opeth can do no wrong! 🤘Ya guys need to check out Heir Apparent and the Lotus Eater from their 2008 album Watershed. It's their last album with death growls before they changed to 70s prog rock style .
