It’s so great to see someone else really enjoy this band as much as I do. Enjoy the journey. They aren’t for everyone, but to those of us who “get it”, they’re hard to beat. Mikael is a frickin genius.
Mikael is literally the person i look the most up to. No one over him in the musical world. Love that man to death. Such a nice guy as well! Met him in Stockholm a couple of years ago and he was willing to grab a couple of beers with me!
Baying of the Hounds is a straight banger. Recommend that one, Hessian Peel, and Deliverance oh and Leper Affinity. Too many masterpieces with this band to name.
@@Celatra In Cauda Venenum is a masterpiece. It has the best outro ever recorded in All Things Shall Pass. I got a list with my most played songs this year from Spotify and I knew All Things Shall Pass would be at the very top. Must've listened to that close to a thousand times this year.
Deliverance, The Moor, Heir Apparent etc.. the list is veeeeeeeery long hahah. Watching you guys react to Opeth is like listening to the song for the first time again. Thanks a lot :)
You don’t feel, hear everything going on in this song unless you listen to it 30 times. Then you’ll be in awe. F’in sick. It takes you through all of your emotions. High and low. Places you didn’t know you couldn’t experience in 9 minutes.
Ghost Reveries is so good I can't even begin to describe it. When I first discovered it way back I had it on repeat for almost two years. Listened to it at least twice a day for two years. That's a sure sign of quality and complexity. Ghost Reveries is Opeth's Seventh Son of a Seventh Son to me. I never ever get tired of listening to it.
Your passion for REAL music brings me hope! Only a few can recognize the mastery in this genre. Opeth is in the upper echelon and very few can compete!
Hell yes dude!! Harlequin forest is such an amazing song. It was actually the first track I have ever listen from them almost 15 years ago! was a huge fan since, of course.. This track is still among the greatest in metal in my opinion. Awesome to see you guys enjoying Opeth, hope to see more 😀
this never gets old! Love the Opeth reactions! edit: I imagine at this point your wondering how many gems can one band have? It's time for Deliverance, and I don't mean the 'squeal like a pig" flick.
I cant wait to see you guys experience more from this band. It almost makes me feel like I'm hearing my favorite songs for the first time again when I see how excited, and into it you guys get. Thanks for this!
Hello guys.. first of all excuse my English. I really enjoy your reactions to Opeth masterpieces. Opeth is hard to “digest” but if you can manage, it is a whole different dimension of all the music all around the world. To tell you the truth; you will not find a better masterpiece than “Harlequin Forest” but, Opeth is to be discovered in all their albums seperately. So, I will not tell you to do a reaction on this song or that song... go with everything!!! Every album, and every track are seperate masterpieces. Rock on...
@@resiseven7407 he's not better. He's lost it since some 2011. And it's not gonna come back. They should just stop playing old songs, he's tensing his neck and voice up to no avail.
I'm pretty new to Opeth also. Have heard a couple live performances and they are so tight live and a great sound mix. If someone who knows their catalog better than I suggests a live video, I would say jump on it, definitely. Looking at the below comments, I'd love to discover "Deliverence" Live with you.
"Masters Apprentices" is another gret Song by Opeth, aswell as "Bleak" and "Demon of the Fall"... and deliverance ofc, just wanted to mention some other Songs
This is definitely a Twinravens LIKE!! Surprised I didn't recommend them 2 years ago ( or maybe I did!). Watched your other reactions to Opeth as well....nice. Just dive into them. Great discography! Definitely do Deliverance next.... maybe live? Opeth are so good live.
Really cool, I'm Mexican American and my wife is white, and Opeth is one of my all time favorites and still to this day! Music saved muh life! thanks yall glad to have discovered ya. :D
You need to do the live version of Harlequin Forest at the Royal Albert Hall! And, please react to Porcupine Tree - Anesthetize Live @ Tilburg. It's amazing, the drumming is absolutely epic and it's such an awesome groove that they get in that song!
Opeth - Deliverance (Live at Shepherd's Bush Empire, London). It’s a great song and you should see a live video from Opeth to realize how talented they are
This album is gold. 😌 Every time I play the drums, I gotta play this song...it’s so awesome!!! Glad you guys enjoyed it thanks for sharing 🤘 Opeth - Deliverance (Studio) 😉
THE LOTUS EATER - THE LEPPER AFFINITY - THE GRAND CONJURATION - MASTER'S APPRENTICE - DIRGE FOR NOVEMBER - HEIR APPARENT ..to name a few! GOO GUYYSSSS!!!!
Another awsome reaction to Opeth from you, dear fellows! It's amazing to see you focus on the music so hard but can't hold yourself to express your feelings about it. I love it! You should see the live video from The royal Albert hall (UK) when they play Harlequin Forest, it's amazing tight and well played. Keep on rockers!
Please react to Gojira - A Sight to Behold, Live at Vieilles Charrues Festival 2010. I can't get over how good his voice sounds there. it's a really interesting song
I've been a fan of Opeth since '02 when I was just discovering Metal with their Deliverance Album, your reactions reminded me of that first time I listened to them, a lot of people complain about their new sound, however, I feel I have grown into music just like they did, I always love to see peoples reaction to being introduced to them, you have a LOT of material to go through, you are going to love it

Opeth is unreal. Check out coming home by allagaeon. Biggest ghost reverie vibes ever bro
Mikael is literally the person i look the most up to. No one over him in the musical world. Love that man to death. Such a nice guy as well! Met him in Stockholm a couple of years ago and he was willing to grab a couple of beers with me!
Best best ever.
Been a fan ever since I was 10.
Opeth is not afraid to jam on an amazing riff. Psychedelic vibes
This is probably my fav song of all time, not only from Opeth.
One of the best compositions i've ever heard in my entire life.
THE DRAPERY FALLS by them!!!!
the best bassline ever !
One of Akerfeldt's best clean vocals as well!
and most people play it wrong
Ouh yessss
i can feel alot of emotion in the baseline on that song, opeth have make me love bass for the first time in metal
Martin Lopez (and Axenrot) really shine in "Nepenthe."
Opeth - Deliverance has to be next then :>
Deliverance is my favorite Opeth song. It's their closer when they tour and it kills every time.
@@SuperSteve120 The last decade it has been, before then it was Demon of the Fall was the outro to gigs! Seen Opeth 9 times so far!!
The crazy repeating end of the song is to symbolize being lost in the darkness of the Harlequin Forest.
The story being told in this song is so great
Whether this is true or not, I like the idea.
Surrounded and lost in the forest of suicides.
This ending gives me visions of 'The Terminator '.......brilliant,complex ending to a brilliant track
Baseless speculation
Baying of the Hounds is a straight banger. Recommend that one, Hessian Peel, and Deliverance oh and Leper Affinity. Too many masterpieces with this band to name.
Leper Affiinity is a straight up headbanger from start to finish
Baying of the Hounds is a massively underrated Opeth song.
Dude the title track to Blackwater Park is fucking unreal
Hessian Peel is probably my favourite. They have dozens of amazing songs but that one in particular I absolutely love.
Lotus Eaters, Hex Omega, Bleak... The list is endless
Probably the best band...you’ll ever hear...in Metal.
In any genre

You really gotta do Deliverance next, you’ll adore it
Good song, but i'd personally vote for The Moor
Because it has been reacted to less and for me is a much more memorable song
@@Celatra I love The Moor as well but seeing how much they loved the outro in this song, they would love the Deliverance outro
Just do both..
@@batweed well yeah obviously that would be preferred but so far they’ve done one Opeth reaction a month so still gotta decide the best one to do next
Maybe... Baying Of Te Hounds?
Why not?
you still have to do Deliverance lol
I was going to recommend this right now lol. Deliverance is so good
I think that one will break them both 🤘
I just heard Deliverance a couple day’s ago for the first time. Can’t stop listening to it now.
And Bleak lol
The outro in this song is just pure magic.. great reaction!
Deliverance, The Moor, Heir Apparent etc.. the list is veeeeeeeery long hahah. Watching you guys react to Opeth is like listening to the song for the first time again. Thanks a lot :)
Thanks 😊
Heir Apparent is a brutal and very unique song. One of their heaviest and most beautiful.
Feel the same way ! Even though I've been listening to them since '97 Would really love some earlier songs in the reactions !
Heir Apparent is a gem.
Deliverance or Serenity Painted Death are my suggestions ;)
Serenity painted Death is fucking killer
Not enough requests for Still Life! Moonlapse vertigo please
Serenity painted death

Dude thats every song, too. Hearing Leper Affinifty a few times is great, but hearing it 300 times is just something else
I agree. Harlequin Forest was just another great Opeth song, until one day when I listened to it yet again, it just clicked and it became a favorite

Deliverance must be next!

Up there with Origin of Symmetry for best album ever IMO
Opeth - When
Opeth - Baying of the hounds
Vektor - Recharging the void
Porcupine Tree - Anesthetize
Edge of Sanity - Crimson
When is definitely great
I just said in another comment that nobody ever suggests When, so kudos to you. One of my favorites, so underrated.
Vektor is straight fire. Holy fuck that album is siiiiiick
Vektor - tetraestructural minds😍
Edge of Sanity - "Crimson" 1996. Their masterpiece. Mikael is doing some vocals in there
Haven't listened to that in a long time. What a great record.
Deliverance or Lotus Eater next!!!!!
Came from your tool reactions and I love your authenticity, sincerety and love of music and each other.

Demon of the Fall (LIVE AT RED ROCKS AMPHITHEATRE)
