  • Every 6-8 weeks I rotate my cars through a revolving display at Acura of Tempe, Arizona. Today, the Ascot Gray 1988 Acura Legend LS sedan gets its moment indoors after receiving new leather, new tires, and an overhauled A/C system. Thanks for watching!

Acura Man - This Beautiful Legend has a successful history, as you recall 1987 Legend winning the Motor Trend import car of the year and in 1988 being one of the top 10 for Car and Driver. Also, that Honda was the first to launch their cars to a higher level by creating the Acura in 1986. Then Toyota followed years later 1989 with the Lexus, of course Nissan followed with the Infiniti. I Love this History, thank you for bringing back all these wonderful memories. Love your Video. - your buddy Dave from El Paso.

Looks great in the showroom. I had a 1986 in the same color scheme with cloth interior and 5 speed manual back in 1998. Saved it from being junked by having my body man install 2 new doors and a fender. The paint match was amazing, looked OEM. Had the interior deep cleaned and it looked like new. That's one I really miss.

I used to own a Polar White '88 Integra LS Special Edition and always wanted a V6 Legend, LS trim of course! Such a well-preserved example of Honda/Acura history, thanks for showing it here Tyson! Props to you for turning those Acura logos on the wheel caps straight, you have the same "OCD eye" I have! Speaking of that eye, was that a '93 Accord SE in Cashmere Metallic with dealer-installed fog lamps I saw in the background? Another rare Honda/Acura product for sure...

Such a cool move by the dealer to put your cars on display. It helps to showcase the heritage of the brand while also showcasing your ability to keep alive some amazing cars (my neighbors had a first-gen Legend sedan in the exact same color when I was a kid). That is so generous of an Acura dealership to allow you to display many of your collection in their showroom. I'm sure they love the history and enjoy having classics in the showroom for a change. Only nowadays could you get away with this. Since there's very limited inventory there's no new vehicles to sell, therefore, no new vehicles in the showroom. That gives you free reign to display as many of your own cars to have something in the showroom to display, even if it's not for sale. I'm jealous, LOL! You sure score on these classic Acuras. I would love to have a collection of retro Acuras/Hondas. BTW, that light reminder chime sounds just like my old 2005 Hyundai Elantra.

I am happy to see your 88 again. Only thing that everytime looks unfamiliar to me is the single tailpipe. I know it is OEM in the US but here in Germany every Legend came with two. Is that based on the trim level? We don't have those by the way. No L, LS etc. All edm generations up to the KB2, are just Legends.
Fun fact: Not every Honda dealer was allowed to sell Legends or to work on them, only qualified workshops with specially trained staff.
