buying a 93 coupe tomorrow, automatic unfortunately but im looking for a 6spd swap... me watching this whole journey of you restoring this 95 legend just motivates me to restore this one im getting... i dont see alot of acura legend content on the internet and these cars are going extinct so it just makes me happy seeing stuff like this.
Absolutely awesome workmanship on the Acura Legend Coupe. I personally had a 1988 Honda Legend Coupe in two tone burgundy and dark grey which i loved driving when i was in my 20's. I regretted selling the car. But i always wanted the 1995 Honda Legend Coupe, maybe one day i might do the same and restore it! Fingers crossed! Great Video 👍
Love the attention to detail Tyson! Even exact sticker placement. Next video you should do a side by side before and after and include the excel file list of repairs and $s.
Got to say that little detail would have totally driven me crazy haha. While an upgrade to body color paint on plastic trims is nice, I've got to say I'm definitely a stickler on keeping things the way they should be
I'm so jealous that you have these wonderful Legends. Here in the European part it is a very rare car. Excellent restoration, nothing rejuvenates the interior like seats in good condition. Great idea with the black tape lol, I also did it on my Accord, because the original moldings are no longer available and used ones are all in bad condition.
Love it. I learned something ! I need to replace my window moldings as well and I was wondering how I’d find them. I’ll circle with you when I get motivated. 🤯
Great work, Tyson. Inspires me to continue restoring my 94 LS coupe. Would be done by now if funds were abundant lol. Till then It resides in the garage awaiting perfection.
That car is one of my favorite cars from Acura believe it or not. Just here where I live they are all beat up. This older man by my parents house had a super nice one. Always kept it garaged and covered. You could tell it was his baby. I definitely need to see this beautiful car. I need to make plans to drive up there
Awesome work as always. I love the videos and wish more would come faster! As to recreating the photograph, I think some photoshop magic could definitely do the trick to recreate the old dealership. What would be needed would be some period correct photographs and the new photographs and some photoshop compositing and boom …
Very well done! Here's a few tips that you might find useful... - Instead of electrical tape which won't hold up long when it gets hot since we're already in the 80's, try using black car wrap. You might try a local shop that has some black scrap pieces or maybe Amazon. - Not sure if your already using it but if not try 3M spray adhesive for the air box label. When prepped right it's not coming off. - In the future try matte clear coat over the black paint work. - Lastly I'm not sure which dealer but it's either AOT or Tempe Honda has a parts guy who used to work at Bell Acura. If he's still there you might find him and if luckier he may have pics. Almost forgot, call ARC, they can definitely help with getting the interior color matched so it looks consistent... Otherwise you did some excellent work here very proud to see you're still sweatin' the details!
Absolutely stunning. Watching your videos puts my OCD at ease! Lol Excellent attention to detail! There's a company that sells reproduction Honda stickers. I wonder if they make them for the Legend.
“Nobody else would care but me”. Absolutely love your conviction on the little details that really add up to the total package. Was that coolant leak anything serious?
Wow! It looks fantastic! Listen, someday when the Accord is in need of a refresh, can I just drop it off with you for a couple months and then pick it up when you’re done? 😂 (Seriously - the Legend looks absolutely terrific. Really well done!)
Amazing attention to detail. Wasn’t that little cubby in the rear window of the Legends such an interesting storage area? I have to ask, is your daily a museum piece too lol 😂? You’d barf riding in my clapped out viper ….
did you have the quarter window removed for the paint job? The molding on my car's quarter window is very tight so it's very difficult to get a clean mask and paint so I'm thinking if I should have the window removed. Concern is it may break or the molding may also break. your thoughts?
I mightve missed it, what leather kit (brand/company) did you use? also the lower door panels you can recover those in new vinyl for about $50 just fyi. but take the driver one back off and reglue the front by the speaker grill (ocd lol)
I have a 95 legend 6 speed and I need to restore the the interior would you be able to guide me. Specially the wood trim any help would be much appreciated.

"Window run channel" is that what they call that piece? Those things annoy me as they warp on the ends and won't lay flush! Also, lived in Arizona for about a year and the dust that would appear in the engine compartment was something else!
Haha yeah, plenty of dust. I don't remember where I heard or read the word "window run channel" but it's more just a piece of chrome accent molding I guess.

Yes lots of issues can happen with removing moldings and windows on a car this old. They left windows in on this one.
How about the Acura CL Type S with the 6 speed manual transmission? Also one of favorite Acuras of all time .
Yes I made a recent video on one! They are great cars.
Looking very nice 👌, question where could I get the molding for the rear and front windshields both my legends need it. Car looks amazing btw.
The front we reused the old moldings. The rear, the window was removed and we used a universal molding. Thanks!!
You lost me with the electrical tape lol
Haha, what were you going to suggest? Masking and painting that teeny little strip is eventually the plan.
