3:09 when the flute start playing. That was from the scene when Grand Commander Zhou Yu stop to help the kid fix his flute. And ask the the kid to play the flute again and the whole army stop to listen. One of the best scenes in the first film.
Countless nameless men walked this earth with their honour and their vices. Stood firm at some point..sparked their moment and vanished. Sparked for a moment...but it was their moment..and theirs only.
You like this movie? Then I suggest that you get the game named dynasty warriors talks about all the battles during this time on ancient china you can even play on this battle with which ever character you want to b!
Anyone know the name of the song that plays when Zhao Yun goes off to rescue Liu Bei's wife and son? It plays again when Zhao Yun climbs Cao Cao's main base camp wall to meet with Zhou Yu and Sun Quan during the day part of the Red Cliff battle in the end. Might as well be Zhao Yun's theme....
what is the name of the song when liu bei tells zhou yu he cant fight cao cao and takes off with his soldiers and then they show them ride theyre horses in slowmotion in red cliff 2 it also plays in the first red cliff
+LuxuriousMercy Yeah was nowhere near the actual novel, but a damn good interpretation nonetheless. This is probably about the closest visual interpretation to the novel most of us non-Chinese would ever got to see though.
What's interesting about this though is it is a global phenomena, not a western phenomena. For example, many arabs in countries like the UAE and Oman feel their cities are becoming "too westernised". These are historically Arab, Muslim countries that now have pork being sold in supermarkets, bars and nightclubs everywhere selling alcohol, street and shop signs printed in English, many people from other countries (known as "expats") who can't even speak the local language, entire neighborhoods where everyone is white (known as "expat communities"), churches popping up places, English-only schools, etc, etc. This is an almost exact parallel to what is happening in the west. People feel their cities are becoming "too islamised". These are historically white, christian countries that now have halal food being sold in supermarkets, clothes shops selling Islamic dress, shop signs printed in Arabic, many people from other countries who can't even speak the local language, entire neighborhoods where no one is white, mosques popping up places, Islamic schools, etc, etc. Due to globalisation, the east and the west are beginning to overlap and naturally, this is causing serious tensions between the two very different cultures. There is one important difference between the west and the east though: politics. People in the east are not nearly as alarmed by the culture clash as people in the west are. The reason for this is very simple. While Arab countries may now have many historically non-Arab aspects, they have still maintained an approach to governance (albeit through authoritarianism) which places the rights of citizens above non-citizens and the rights of the native culture above the foreign cultures. We've all heard stories about British tourists being deported from Dubai for breaking the cultural rules. In contrast, the west has pretty much done the opposite. Out of fear of being racist, the west as began to make the native culture victim to the foreign cultures. Many people fear there will be some sort of 1930s style backlash against Muslims in Europe but the irony is, it is the left who will make this happen if it does. The left's insistence on aggravating racial and cultural tensions by imposing guilt on anyone who feels unease and continuing to advocate mass immigration is putting people like me in a position where I fear one day people will look at me as an enemy.
This was such an EPIC movie done by John Woo. The history fascinates me.

@DarkMagician34 Great game series but severely lacking in realistic physics. XD
Haha true but it's all good its not as accurate like the novel but fair enough
The novel was never historically accurate.
