    For anyone wondering, yes, this game has gotten a million times better in the 3+ years since this video came out. The modding scene is akin to Left 4 Dead, or Garry's Mod, where you can modify the game so much that it basically becomes a new title. • @manformerlypigbukkit
      @manformerlypigbukkit 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Anon it may be easy to implement, but it’s extremely difficult to optimize. Note that there’s also things such as path tracing and Ray marching that are more optimized compared Ray tracing, so it’s fairly impressive that the tear down dev went with full raytracing that could run on something as simple as a GTX 980. (He said in a stream once that the game ran fine on a 980)
      SSAO already has hundreds of pre-baked scripts and require little effort to implement nowadays, even STALKER: Clear Sky has SSAO, and that’s what’s basically an indie game from 2008.

The challenge mode almost assuaged those fears cos it does genuinely look pretty fun and difficult rather than just being another way to mess around... buuuuuuuuut then I scrolled down and already there are so many comments saying "Wow! That's cool, but I wish it also did this!" or "I'd love to see this idea combined with [another game]!"
