What a great video, fun to watch, kept it real (fighting the process without the perfect tools) - loved the drive-by footage. You just got yourself a new subscriber:)
@joelucchese9165 You're welcome. Thank you. I appreciate you watching. You're about 200 miles away. If im ever on my way to Canada, I'll hit you up, lol. I'll probably have a bit more content with this car in the near future. Do you have an Instagram or Tiktok? If so, you can send the links to my email garydeyo302@gmail.com
@michaelarmellino8334 That's a great idea. I have come to really like the position on the steering column, though. Thank you for your input, and thanks for watching.
@dieselbossbrandon I did notice it does smoke a bit off boost. I mentioned it in the video even though I know I also said it doesn't smoke. I would still consider the little smoke that it produces acceptable for the average person. But you are right,I do need to advance the injection timing. With the slight stretch of the timing chain, it's off by a couple of degrees. Thanks for the tip, and thanks for watching
@@DieselFuelNetwork you read my mind. I meant to put about the timing chain stretch. So definitely a few degrees would help. Love your build by the way definitely look forward to more of your videos on it! Keep up the great work! 👍
@@danpicocfp6276 it could have a weak turbo. I have heard of mixed results when doing this. But it shouldn't smoke too bad if everything is operating well. My turbo spools pretty quickly. What's the altitude where you live? It will smoke more at high altitude. I would suggest testing boost pressure with a gauge to check turbo operation. It should be around 8.5 psi. Is it only smoking before the turbo spools? And I'm sure you understand that the only improvement from this is the initial throttle response off boost. There won't an increase in overall power, just a bit snappier when first pressing the throttle. Good luck and thanks for watching
You did a good job here...nice to see that before-and-after, thanks.

Pretty cool 😎
You can just remove one of the speaker screws and just drill a hole into your bracket and voila completely reversible.

If you're not getting smoke you might need to advance the timing a bit.

I did it. I don’t see any improvement, just a lot of smoke. It must be another issue in my car.
