One thing to keep in mind is that all those containers need to be loaded on trucks for shipment to final destination. So no matter how big the vessel ultimately the cargo ends up on a highway.
When I used to drive the 'ship to shore' cranes in the nineties the ships were a maximum of 13 wide and very rarely stacked higher than 5 high on deck. Now I've retired I can see these massive ships coming into port. Ever green, Maersk, msc, OOCL CSCL - awe inspiring ships

👍
or a train
Very few trains go to final destinations. The cargo still has to go by truck to arrive at consignee.

Small correction: Emma Mærsk was an E-Class. The first Triple-E is called Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller.
Awesome working environment and technology, good presentation 😎👍👏👏
Good video, however where were the pioneers of container shipping, OCL,ACT, ACL, P&O, New Zealand Shipping,Hapag-Llyod
MAERSK. IT IS THE #1 OF THE 🌎.
Re the _"Evergreen Ever Alot"_ and it's dimensions... Why give the O.A.L. & width in _feet_ and the draft in _meters?_
Very nice presentation. Of course I would hate to be the skipper of such vessel's during war time. Sure would make a great target for sub commanders.
Yeah! It may be the least expensive & cost effective but it's also the slowest.
All the Histroy of Semi Trucks 🚚 and invention of the Container Ship 🚢 are Attributed to the Visionary Founder, Malcom Mcclean..

Singapore 🇸🇬 PSA Mega Container Tuas Port Terminals completed by 2040 will be the World 🌎 largest Transhipment Automated Container Ship Terminal.
Why are these engines only equipped with one engine and oneprop why not to?
Triple -Es of Maersk have two engines, two propellers and two rudders.
A few of these puts out more pollution than all the cars on the plant.
Falso. Es el método de transporte más económico y menos contaminante en proporción a la carga transportada.
I also saw an article that pointed out how all these ships cause the sea levels to rise. I thought that was interesting
@@killionkwe Sí. Igual que como lo eleva la mosca que se posa sobre una laguna. 😁😁
