I’m wearing Fox apparel in this video. The Drop Frame helmet is great, but it’s sized small, so measure and order accordingly. I’m a 58cm headform, usually with a medium helmet, but I need an XL Drop Frame. The Union shoes are AWESOME, those really exceeded my expectations, and fit true to size. The Ranger apparel is a little more heavy duty, and I generally like it for most abusive rides. I do wish it had a zipper or boa fly, but other than that, I like them. The lighter weight, flouro yellow kit is AMAZING for summer riding. More protection than shorts, but very breathable. I am concerned about durability, but they price isn’t bad. Jeff's channel is where I go for real analysis on my next potential bike. I love it over channels that feature content like "What are the best grips ever" or "I'm the best TH-camr rider ever" type shit. Finally this dude is going to hit 100k subs...and should really have more. Plus he rides with real skill.
I really appreciate hearing different perspectives about the same bike. I've made the same mistake multiple times absorbing someone's bias "bike is bad!" or gush how a bike is flawlessly perfect with no real context why, but when people describe in depth what they like and don't like, and you hear that from different sources, you get to add up a mental model of a bikes traits strengths and weaknesses. You can really piece together what causes someone to hate it while another loved it specially when you can observe their riding style. It's not a replacement for a test ride but it does help. Sadly not everyone's great at doing describing like this and Jeff is one of the best while doing it in an organic format.

I'd love to see you try one of those Pole Voima E-Bikes to see what you think of them, and how they compare to the big American brands
Ufff those bikes don't seem at all well suited to my style. I'm more of a jumper than a plower, so the long wheelbase and backend is not my thing.
@@JeffKendallWeed I'd be really interested in what you think of the new levo SL. (I'm personally waiting for the gen 2 kenevo SL as I already have a full sized Levo) but I hear really good things. I've heard multiple people say the gen1 Kenevo SL is the best bike they have ever ridden ebike or not.

I don't know how you manual these monster ebikes but you sure make it look easy!
It's a lot of work for sure- the Rise was more fun since it had less front triangle weight. Much easier to manual! I'm getting curious about a hub motor equipped bike, as then the weight of the motor is removed from the front half of the bike.

Hey Ted .. it s because this Kendal-Weed guy is one of the best fucking riders in the world (for natural, fun, like a normal human MTB riding) He makes EVERYTHING look good.

You can just use a Bosch bolt on magnet, I work at skagit cycle I think I have one there.
Thanks Jeff once again for the review and your feedback on what a bike does well, characteristics and what riding style the bike works best for. That is what I look for in a review so I can translate it to what would work best for me.
Cucumbers are great but I don't like pickles...... but its ok for others to like and enjoy different things. Keep an open mind young guns out there that do not like Ebikes. You will age and things will change. I though what a crock to ride an ebike until I rode a light weight one and got in two laps instead of one and so had twice as much fun in one day. Someday you will get older and your body will change like mine did and you might find it an option that keeps you riding, or riding even more. Most importantly are you having fun? FYI I do not own an ebike.
Aging is the aggressive pursuit of comfort.
A E-MTB is not for a aging rider. It is for someone who simply gravitates to it for WHATEVER reason. For example, living on a island with EXTREMELY limited MTB-able trails, tracks and options, a E-MTB is the only proper tool to actually get a MTB ride in. Otherwise, you’re ‘hike-a-biking’ and pushing it 1/2 the time.
So, dispense with the “listen young bucks, you will get old” crap and point your statements towards a E-MTB is a ‘tool’ for particular reasons. Whether it be for lack of fitness, aging, impossible terrain or ANY other reason a person must face.

It was basically a stocker, but early version suspension and non stock color.
I live in AZ. Always riding hawes and all the mountains here, I have seen a lot of the bikes you have ridden all over the state. I recently built a commencal sx and love it but don’t have a lot of time on more than a few enduros. Was curious if you will ever get your hands on a commencal in the future for reviews?

I was looking at their lineup. Then focused on the Insurgent. For what they offered, especially on components I decided to go with a Specialized Stumpjumper Evo Pro.
Evil is overpriced. I thought Specialized was expensive until I looked a EVIL.

The one reason I dont own this bike os they took way to long to make it, i jad asked for a ebike wreckoning for years n they didn't produce so i got me a whyte e180
E Bikes are cool but I am not getting one because peddling his how I burn calories to stay in shape. Maybe when I am older I will get one.

@@JeffKendallWeed no but they feel like they have some , at least my new altitude powerplay . Its a fun toy but i still prefer my ripley . Every time i hop back on my peasant bike i feel like someone gave me wings. The drag on the motor on the powerplay is strong , i think its the only ebike you wouldn’t be able to ride home up a hill without battery power. But i love the suspension setup
Love Evil bikes and loved my 2022 Wreckoning, but man that Epocalypse is pretty ugly, that obese downtube looks like butt. Great riding as always though Jeff!! Love the channel.
