The levels of armor and weapons have decreased, example: I had the exotic helmet of charrog at level 11 and now is just 10 of defence by itself??? The time I spent playing went to trash... What happened???
Was thinking about the reforging for weapons and now I don’t think it is really worth it. %1 for damage or anything is just ehhh i hope it gets adjusted
“My” perfect scenario for reforging at max level is: /current max buff

I think this would make reforging worth the grind. Having something to do doesn’t change the fact it might not feel enough
Then again tho I totally forgot reforging is pretty much free... aethersparks don’t seem hard to get so it is just time spent which leveling doesn’t seem to rough.

bro i love and hate this update. hunting grounds are great and should stay, but they seriously messed up all the progress i have put into this game, time to grind for hours again.
Yea my Joy meter is like on the fence right now, Like how there is more content but only by the sacrifice of my grind
Yea I also agree, like grinding before didn’t take that long. But now it’s 10k just to upgrade armor
They actually confirmed that people not getting properly compensated was a bug... so it'll get fixed eventually, because I asked many people about it and they all were compensated with hundreds of Aether Hearts, so yeah... you guys losing progress was definitely not intended

@@retromastery7010 was 1 aetherhearts per +15 item levels cumulative. Don't think there was enough gear for hundreds of hearts. My issue is not nearly enough rams to do anything with the slayers path. Why do we not have a market to sell excess behemoth parts in? I'm only keeping the blue/purple drops for power surging needs but I'm sure I have hundred of most every behemoth part stashed with no use because of all my escalation and patrols before the rework
BTW! the agility glider is the best glider right now because you can use it on flat ground for a massive speed boost, and you can spam it to basically bunny hop

I wasted a million on stuff I know now, was useless in every possible way, now I have to farm chests all day to upgrade one set of armor.
In my opinion I’m very disappointed in this update. All my work down the drain. And I’m just not feeling this new system.

Killing behemoths give hunt pass exp...doing events give hunt pass exp. How can you miss that? It shows you every time

Yea, I saw a week ahead or so how it was rewarded so i leveled my armors to +14, I didn't have 15 unlocked. They gave: Armor Level 10(0.0625) 11(0.125) 12(0.25) 13 (0.50) 14(0.75) 15(1) Aetherhearts per piece.
+10 is 0.06 aetherhearts.
@@dr4death on reddit there was an official statement. For one people who had items at 10+ should get enough material to power surge your items. Secondly there's a bug and many people didn't get as many of the materials as they should have.
@@fzoid3534 the thing that is missing are keystone mats, not regular gear. Also nothing is said that they converted our gear wrong. It just happens that +10 doesn't give that many hearts
The rams required to get stuff done is insane!! I can't do anything because they ask and absurd amounts of rams, up to 10k and now I can't even upgrade gear. Hours upon hours of work down the drain
The late game upgrades for me are 20k+ (power surge being 10k as always) which sucks without a good way to rapidly build rams. I spend around 2 hours and barely get like 8k rams
@@craigfunk3453 yeah you do get more rams per behemoth but still the stuff is waaaay too expensive. They either lower the costs or each behemoth kills gives up to 5-10k rams. I accept the grind now it's fun scaling yourself up again but having to do it so many times is annoying
To be fair, tho, having Alot of rams used to be useless. I get they just moved it to the other extreme, but it's not like rams were perfect as they were.

The rewards for the old endgame players are kinda scuffed... you get tons of aether hearts, but the amount of rams they gave you isnt even enough to use all of them lol
If by "tons" you mean less than half the amount needed to upgrade our gear from before, then yes.

I'm gonna be optimistic as possible. I actually enjoy the new leveling system. It's an interesting way to get long-time slayers and newbie slayers fighting together and have a reason to do so. Every time we reforge a weapon we all go back to level 1......unless, of course, you managed to fill the talent tree completely.
The new update is disaster for all player who spent their time for leveling up weapons and armor at 15+ and then its just turned down ffs

Most of your armor comes from using a weapon from a category that you have a high level in. It sucks

Its shit mate basically you gotta spend countless hours getting the weapons to lvl 20 just to reset them. Im pretty sure thats how u upgrade resistance. So yeh its a completely dog shit system its a waste of time and along with many many others im done with the game all my shit reset i ain't doing all that again
It's a neat system, but good lord, the Rams costs are a bit much when you don't get that much while out grinding, unless you're willing to farm escalations for days.
At least the special events give you like 2k rams, plus you get a lot of cell cores. Still, it's too much ram for one upgrade.
I have no real need for cells at this point. Sure they may give the occasional 1-500 rams or ace chips, but those are pretty worthless rewards.

I don’t like this update I feel like I wasted soooo much time hitting near max rank in both slayer and behemoth mastery and now I have to start from the ground up essentially and the hunt grounds are great but it has issues of crowding when six or more slayers pile on a smaller behemoth it’s becomes a pain with player collision as well as the effect overload which seems to make things to start dropping frames on consoles

This update was a slap in the face for veterans because pretty much all our grinding was a waste of time. They also removed private hunts which was a stupid move. The less people, the easier the behemoths plus I want to play with friends not randoms. The update is just decent imo. Hope they add private hunts back into the game
My power level and defence went down heavily and have no clue how to even raise it again, because you can only Power Surge which I have no clue what it really does. But I do love the game more.
Power surge gives a permanent power/defense boost to the item you power surged (also powers up the perk/unique effect of the item). Pretty simple.
You raise your power & defense by leveling up your weapon skill back to lvl 20. Again, pretty simple (albeit, a fucking boring grind fest)

No matter what combination of armor pieces/weapon I power surge, I always end up with the same value of power/defense.
Note: I haven't tried every single armor or weapon yet, so I could be wrong.
@@AvianZone No, using a sword will get your sword skill to lvl 20, affecting every sword.
However the power surge is unique to the specific sword you used it in.
So, if you wanted to power surge every single sword, you'd have to lvl up your sword skill lvl to 20 and reforge for every sword in the game. (fuck, indeed)
But if you only use 3 or 4 swords, you only need to do that 3 or 4 times, once for each sword.
imo Reforged mostly just extended the length of time for you to acquire decent content, especially if you didn't have +15s before; previously you make a gear, get it to +10 and you would have usable +3 perks whereas now you have to reforge just to have +6 perks

I've always been broke even before the update because I spent it all on blitz/frenzy tonics and the occasional upgrade getting my +15 gear (at least those transferred across as free aetherhearts at the start of the rework)
Havnt played in ages and thought I’d give it a download. I swear if I go on and my build is complete ruined then that shits getting uninstalled straight away

@@mordecai8315 exactly, everything in my build was plus four when I logged on so I had to power surge it so I could go back to plus 6, 300k Rams gone, and I barely can farm mastery

Bought My First Hunt Pass This Season You Also Get Merits From Bounty Tokens And I Have Been Buying Merits From The. Vault So Yeah Been Trying to Finish The Slayers Path But It's Getting Easier To Get What I Need From Doing This Method

Man...someone please answer this...how do I earn hunt pass Xp apart from the bounties?? They got rid of the xp you get after slating a bahemoth...and I only have 18 bounty tokens...someone please help me out
Hunting ground is a good addiction to the game, unfortunately i cant say the same about slayers path and the new crafting system

I wouldn't bother wasting materials buying the glider upgrades. The first one is really all the Stam you need. It's really just a neat novelty thing, but doesn't really help you in hunts.

I had my swords completely maxed out at +15, and my armor was +14. Now both have been reset to virtually nothing. Hours upon hours of hard work completely thrown into, and flushed down the toilet. So unhappy it makes me want to cry.
Soooo..... why did all my builds go from like +6 iceborn/rage to +5/+4

@@thepope2184 Here is a less short explanation i was confused at first too, since armor and weapon tiers are a thing that makes new armor and weapon better but makes previous ones almost useless.for a while, since the game wants you to throw your boreus armor into the trash with +5 base defence and a cell +1 once you unlock the pangar +10 base with also a cell +1, i think armor tier 3 has cell +2, that is supposed to change the way builds are made. but not really, that's why everyones builds have reduced cell power. i said for a while because there is a way to throw all that "experimentation" with new builds out of the window, power surge, power surging any piece of armor not matter the tier makes it go to +30 base defence and +3 cell, same with weapons. so that's how you get all your builds back, so instead of grinding mastery exp, orbs and stones to upgrade stuff, you spent like a day or two to get an aetherheart to essentially upgrade a part or weapon to level +15 wich when you think about is less grindy took me a fuck ton of time to get +15 armor since it was linked with your behemoth mastery and that takes a while to level up when you hit level 35 when just doing random shit don't really give you exp towards it, is less grindy and easier but still just feels wrong. in any case you should've been compensated enough to get your build back if you didn't then wait i guess since is confirmed is a bug that a lot of people got jack shit
Gear has been tiered. Only way to get the +3 perks you have to power surge making all gear a 'tier 6' which has max power (barely any upgrade for legendary gear) but allows you get the +3 perks on gear before any cells are equipped

i miss the og old dauntless, where you would go to specific hunts, if you wanted to get better gear you would have to hunt a higher lvl behemoth of the same class, like for embermane, hunt an adult embermane, and then a heroic one
I believe people got confused of how reforged works exactly and what it does in the final milestone. What really does,it makes you play with more weapons IF you want the bonuses. You can still stay with just on the unranked lvl 20 and do almost the same dmg as before the patch,that counts for the armor too,i think they tried to balance the power ups we got from lanterns. Tbh as a hardcore MMO player ( WoW,lineage etc.) i don't really mind the reforge grind.What i care tho is that why they didn't give us the epic materials from behemoths.I used to have 5 swords +15 and all the legendaries from escalation behemoths.And now im stuck with just the agarus one cause i couldn't power surge the rest because of the lack of epic drops. It feels like all this time i spend on escalations just to get my weapons to +15 ,gone to waste.

Wait, so the attack speed from the Reforged Strikers will affect every weapon, like hammers or axes as well? I DIDN'T REALIZE THAT! I thought it mean any striker only. Now that's a skill tree worth investing

For anyone watching this that's just starting out, skarns lantern is amazing, despite what the video says.
One of the BEST things that attracted me towards Dauntless OUT of Warframe was the fact that it had NO grind. You just fight and forge and upgrade. Sure if you wanna upgrade all the weapons it costed a LOT, but if you only had a few at Max (and they worked) you really didn't need all of them.
Now, with this new method you need to level up every freak'n thing! Not only that BUT you get this "reset" in weapon class (NOT on a single weapon) that you need to reforge (over) 10 TIMES to max!? AND weapons have Tiers now?... Meaning my "Empoered Blades" lv15 are now trash and only Torgadoro (and similar Escalation weapons) are actually good! Plus, if you already Power Surged a particular weapon do you loose those "max stats" or does that stay even after Reforging?
Also, Merits come small and far between so to upgrade anything pass a decent level will take lots and LOTS of grind.
I am disapointed. Shatter Islands look good, BUT they are basically now like Escalation: Go in. Kill lots of Behemoths get out. But at least Escalation offers top tier behemoths to build top tier weapons. Hunting Grounds offers... Well, I don't know really. Since Skill points and Merits (also?) come from Bounties.
I have a feeling that in a few months these numbers will be lowered because right now, I can only max power ONE Weapon class and if that gets "nerfed" with every Reforge, it really doesn't make sense. I'll save my Merits and Rams for when all the 'kinks' are sort out in this new system.
So in the meantime, I'll just farm Escalation behemoths to build those TOP weapons that are missing. Besides, I really just play for the Hunt Pass and to TRY and get that Golden Crown. lol
If you power up with eather hearts every weapon reach 120, they made this thing for the people in early game
I cant even do escallation 10-50 like i used to behemoths in 1-13 just look at me and i'm dead
Explanation on wound damage according to the wiki:
Wound damage will create wounded points on a Behemoth's body where part damage can be dealt (i.e. legs, tail, and head). This damage type is indicated by red numbers and does not affect the Behemoth's basic health pool.
Slashing weapons deal +50% part damage to wounded parts and Blunt weapons deal +25% part damage to wounded parts. Piercing weapons have their -25% part damage penalty removed once the part is wounded.
Do you recommend having a build that does primarily wound damage or a build that does a mixture of wound + part damage with a cell that increases damage to wounded parts?

One thing I am not liking about the update is that almost all of my armor max level and now I have to go back and re-upgrade EVERYTHING I like the reforge and all but the game doesn't do a good job explaining that your armor isn't as good as it was

Well In My Path And Experience Was Working On Resistance And Health Really Wasn't Focused On Load out Grenades And Glider Starting To Get It Now That I Max out Got Reforge Pretty Quick Then I Started focus On My Favorite weapons Crictal Strike And mods

Tbh they should make it so that you can buy a boost for rams like you don’t spend platinum or anything but in game currency other than rams of course
im a sword user with full maxed out nodes and i will say the last thing on the sword is quite good but it also requires you to be fairly decent in predicting the behemoths and the timing so that they will either be stunned long enough to get hit or will walk into the hit, with behemoths that move around alot its just not worth putting it down

I only played the game for 4-5 months but grinded it pretty hard. Had most weapons and armor +10 and a bunch at plus 15 including legendary weapons, all escalations maxed. I played quite a bit. But just came back after the update to check it out and basically everything is gone and have to start over
Got one build set up, another 7 more to go.
They really need to a method to get lots of rams. Around 5k every 3 to 5 minutes sounds good. It takes an hour or 45 mins to get around 10k rams in hunting grounds to power surge gear.
Also not having any bounty tokens makes leveling your weapons more time consuming, like 10 weapon xp for every level 4-6 behemoths and going into a level 17-19 zone is digging your own grave.
If You Ain't Got Health And Resistance To Frost Fire Radiant Shock Terra And Embral Mean You Will Do Ok With having Armor On But having Resistance Max Is Awesome And If You Ain't Got How Health And Stamina Y on u Can't Fight ice Born Is Awesome

And I must agree, i was way into the end game stage when the patch came up and what did I get? Absolute shit,all I managed to buy with this new path thing were the upgrades for the axes,the damn glider (DON'T BUY IT,IT'S A WASTE OF PRECIOUS MERITS,JUST WALK LIKE YOU ALWAYS DID!) and in a blink of an eye I was broke. What the fuck do they expect us to do? I mean,the level of work to get to level 20 after a reforge isn't all that bad by itself but holy shit you don't get nearly enough merits to buy what you need (Not to talk about the rams).
They basically speeded up the dying process of the game...GG WP.
Escalations are the best way to get Rams? Cause dude, I've used 300k unlocking like 6 bonuses in the slayer's path

Doing Bounty Tokens Will Also Give You Weapon I Just To My Favorite Weapon That I Wanted To Level And it Boosted it Getting xp For Behemoths I Would Definitely Get That Been Moving Up Fast Almost Their 6 on My Sword And Pike My Two Favorite Weapons
I got to slayer rank 32 without even unlocking the resistances. Do that for sure! Could be the difference between life and death if you’re fighting a pissed off holy wasp.

Any gear levels before the rework gave an aetherhearts for every +15 cumulative across your gear. But if you have a decent gear and some skill to fight above your weapon skill level let's you get to 20 in a couple days tops each time you reforge
2 weeks?! What are you talking about?! I played around 10 hours in 2 days and my blades are back to 20 again! Weapons level very quickly. If you have friends to play with, just take them all to an island and run around kill shit and doing events. Your weapons will level up very quickly.

The new reforge mechanic got me insanely confused the first time I saw it
Funny how I played this game last time like in January that I didn't know anything about it, and now that I join because the update contains a story about a guy called "SILVER" Nicolas, apperentely I unlocked everything... I can reforge stuff but I have no idea how!

The text for the pike specials was incorrect I think, for any new players watching, the text for Balanced Spearhead and Munitions Amplifier were switched. Neither are fantastic so it doesn't really matter, just listen to Dough and get Savage Wellspring

This was my argument from one of your previous videos because my gear & weapons were maxed out and as I figured it wouldn't be in my best interest. I guess I'll probably continue playing until I find something else that peaks my interest.

It's kinda stupid that the mods cost different and increase in amount of rams but they actually just a another mod with basically same quality, unless we can use them all at the same time then we can talk
I think we need answers on why some weapons and armours are different attack / defence stats, also how they're locking us into a few builds by making innate cell bonuses only +2 without boosting...
making a video right now about weapons and then one about armor. Both should be uploaded in the next few days but to answer why some gear is +1 and other are +2 from crafting it's based on when you encounter them in the progression. Shrowd gear has +2 stats vs embermane that has +1. shrowd is an "end game behemoth" vs embermane being a starter one.

Same, and I contacted the support team. So basically its a known bug and is getting fixed, no est time atm tho. All I do atm are hunting grounds doing bounties and escalations.

Lightweight shaft is all I use on Pike, I wouldn't trade it for any other mod.

Yes, it sucks to lose all my 10+ stuff. However, the end game gets very stale anyway so perhaps this is a good direction for Dauntless
i should do AXE reforge first and than strikers and then the rest ceuse power + attack speed are a great thing to have

Is it a reset of everything? If so thats a big uninstall of Dauntless in my book, after having everything maxed out, every weapon in the game, all escalations. Nice for new players I guess. But a dump on those that played since start, IF they reset that is.
its not reset, but a good portion of progress could be undone if you played a lot of endgame. If you enjoy the new systems enough to grind for a bit you could get back up to where you were for the most part. lots of people are very upset but i absolutely love the update.
They just want slayers to spend more time in the game

i mean if you have 1mil rams to spend then good for you, i have 45k when this update dropped and now i have 2k, the upgrades genuinely cost too much rams

I wasted all my merits on the veapons, now i have a bit of grinding ahead. I had like 400k gold and i didnt realise how much they used, now i have 50k
I'm pissed i got lvl 15 weapons in this new system and i only have 500 Power and resistence thats not even enough for escalation or normal trials. Farming potions now is a pain my catalyst builds are just dry
Can you explain how the armour tier system works? For example, all of my armours are different tiers, like I think some of my level 14 gear became tier 3, level 15 gear became tier 4, and legendary equipment is tier 5. Is there a way to tier up the armour? I was grinding to increase my armour to max perks, and I no longer know how any of it works.
I don’t necessarily understand all the hate for the update, it’s not like they just make you waste millions of rams for something, despite the grind. I honestly think they just want the game to be more of a ‘there is still something to do’ kind of famr

How do you get exploration merits? I get a ton of combat merits just from playing the game, but I always have a super low amount of exploration merits, which are needed for basically EVERY unlock in the slayer's path. I badly need to have a way to get a bunch of them to use in the slayer's path.
Personal opinion, I think the Hunting Grounds and Slayer's Path are good additions, *but* it shouldn't have replaced the old system and should have just been additions. I think the old upgrade system is fine and...what if I want to grind one behemoth for parts ot that smexy heroic dye? Kinda can't do that so easily anymore...

They screwed up everything and everyone. Players are pissed and quitting. The interface looks like crap and they didn't even give you a choice on what to pick on talent trees. What the heck were they thinking?

Ugh my stupid self reforged everything. I was capped now I'm restarting......all that grind down the drain
Something is somewhat bugged in the system. My assault (stagger bonus) tonic is refusing to time out in any content so my axe build (now that I have all the pieces power surged to get all my +6 perks back) is constantly staggering especially the opening axe yeet with grim onslaught so most things are already half dead before they can even start attacking (makes it easy to get my axe quickly leveled back to 20 for constant reforges for those permanent power bonuses)
It feels more grindy than before, I already reforged Hammer, axe and chain blades and you level up so slow, I hope the harder behemoths give more XP beacuse I can't with a lv 9 chain blade for now.
Also it feels like escalation is the best way to farm levels (just did it once in easy mode and it was 1 level
Up from 8 to 9)
As an axe main I won't reforge my CB as charrog's UE is the best blaze UE for axe and stamina cost reduction would nerf it
Man...someone please answer this...how do I earn hunt pass Xp apart from the bounties?? They got rid of the xp you get after slating a bahemoth...and I only have 18 bounty tokens...someone please help me out
Yeah I can see why that dude had his axe reforged 18 times. You need so many aetherhearts for builds unless you want to be locked into playing one or two. You like what you like and playing the shit out of it to surge more gear makes sense.
