You are getting system banned for no reasons currently. The system ban for chat just picks up keywords and if you for example insult yourself, you are likely to get banned for that
If small indie company like Riot wanted to, they would have given us capsules by themselves for free, each month, to keep players logging in and claiming rewards

Riot points being bought are what funds the game. Could they give us 350 riot points and some orange essence every month without it crippling the game? Sure they could. Will they? probably not. Because the people who don't buy Riot points matter less than those who do.....and they have PLENTY of folks buying Riot points. So people like me who do not, are not needed. It's that simple in the end. Whether anyone, including me, likes it or not. I don't hate Riot for that, nor do I expect them to reduce profits for me. It just sucks in the end....reality at it again
They could easily keep giving the small amount of Riot points and Orange Essence. But would it be a financial gain for them to do so? No. Would it be needed to keep a strong population number playing their game? No. These two answers are all the reason they need not to. Which yes, I am one of the people that gets hurt by this but its the reality and I can't hate them for caring about their business and the players that help fund it.
You still have to pay for Twitch Prime. Riot was NOT doing this for free, they were getting incentives from amazon for their participation. Riot was doing this for their benefit.

I love the way they talk about this partnership "funding" these capsules like they were diamonds mined from the deepest pits of the earth and not a few lines of code that generated digital rewards
You do realize that by giving away free premium currency such as Riot Points that they are hurting their bottom line? You get that right? So while giving away "a few lines of code generated digital rewards" they are also reducing the amount of people buying Riot Points.....the "funding" that keeps the game getting constantly developed, added to, and advanced. I am a free to play player myself that will get hurt by this change but I still get it. If the game isn't making enough money to pay the Devs and provide enough profits on top of that to the people at the top then the game won't exist its that simple. Its how "reality" works in the "real world" that we "live in"

In a ton of businesses, they will have some product that loses them money instead of makes them a profit to keep customers happy and buying their other stuff. For example, Xbox (for the last two consoles at least) has had their console as a loss leader, selling it cheaper than it costs to produce because they're making absolute bank with Game licensing and Xbox Live. All of this to say, Riot could theoretically draw players back into their game who come back to claim that capsule. They come back, get their rewards, maybe browse around the shop they haven't seen in a bit, and buy a new skin or some chests. Sometimes, a lot of times, not pissing off your customers and making them more inclined to spend on your game is a better growth strategy than chasing the "infinite returns" myth that backfires literally every time

Aww this was the thing keeping me playing cuz I still got new stuff to look at plus the champ shards helped a lot to get the new characters as well as help me build cards in the deck game oh well. Was lovely to get these items. Suppose it's time to move on to other games lol

You can easily get all the cards in Legends of Runeterra for free just by playing the game.....its so free to play friendly Riot struggles to not lose money on the game.....I had all the cards in the game less than a year after starting to play the game casually just a few hours a day 2 or 3 days a week.
I could see Netflix trying to jump in to fill the void of prime gaming rewards. They have been working the gaming industry for a while now and also have collaborated with league in the past with arcane and a mobile game. I could see them bringing in a deal, especially as we are awaiting the release of arcane season 2.

A code that renews monthly but can be used an unlimited amount of times would help both the streamers, because players would need to go back to the stream every month and some of them would probably stay, and riot because players get what they want.
Giving League CC's perma codes sounds like a good idea. But for me it would be a huge obstacle, for the simple fact that when I personally collect Twitch Prime loot for Riot games, I was collecting them in spite of not being able to play their games.
Cause I don't have a working laptop or desktop to run PC LoL, I was still able to collect the lot for when I do get one and start playing ( somewhat ) again. Same thing for the other Riot games.
Don't forget the blood drives that gave you K/DA All Out Kaisa in the US, probably the best one yet.
IDK if this is the same for other regions, but here in SEA, there has been a massive wave of people signing up for free Prime trials to claim in game loot, even going so far as to making multiple accounts and faking credit card numbers to sign up again when the trial ends. I'm willing to bet money on this being a factor as well.
Would be pretty cool if it was added to the twitch drops system. Although i honestly wouldn't mind if they just added a $1 promotion for these capsules every month, i would buy that

Just because riot didnt want to accept a lower offer from amazon it didnt mean they "fell out" these are megacorporation's with executives who couldnt care less about falling out with eachother.
By adding them back as twitch drops riot might not make as much money directly but they can increase player engagement by encouraging players to watch twitch streams.
Also, how the hell do you know that 1 dollar per person is less than what amazon was willing to spend.

The separation between amazon and riot is not a pleasant one, thus the tweet from Riot intentionally painting amazon as the bad guys.
If Riot is going to support streamers they would do it via their Riot League program partnered streamers like Necrit....which Necrit referenced in his video even. Not through Amazon via twitch drops which has a transactional cost to have done.
Honestly all this did is convince my friend group to drop prime when league capsules go. They shared my prime before the capsules so honestly not much will change for me.
What I think would make the most sense is that if you wanted to keep the capsule drops while riot still getting their money, have a partner code that you use for any purchase every month and it would have the bonus drops. Considering how many people claim they payed for prime solely for league drops I feel like this would be a good compromise, and also maybe have the code work like it does with epic games where the creator whos code is used gets a small cut of whatever that purchase was

Honestly they should make special in game subscription, with Monthly capsule, some special yearly event with themed (for example this year we have Void) unique rewards and some quests.

I mean they need to revamp the entire game. The new and casual player experience is completely unacceptable for a game and company of this size. Riot isn’t broke anymore, champs should all be free, for one. They get all their money from skins, not champs. The client as we all know. A coaching system. A true way to learn the game as a beginner. A quest system to earn BE or whatever. Creator Codes and general creator benefits similar to Blizzard or Supercell Games, etc. There’s so so much League could and should be doing that would make everyone’s life better while also lining their pockets. It should be a no brainer. As a quality assurance worker I’m guessing it’s due to poor management.
I pay for Prime for a lot more than Prime Gaming, but I have not once seen anybody get Prime Gaming for free games over the free items you get for various games. Makes me wonder what customers they spoke to lol

Sad to see Prime Capsules go, since they have become one of the main rewards of prime that I look forward to each month. Honestly, they usually just pile up unless there's something interesting going on in the game, like a Star Guardian event, Briar feet, or Invoker2.0. Since most of the free games are on their own launcher, or Epic, I don't even end up playing them even on the off chance I do claim them, which is kinda rare, since they're mostly older/games I wasn't too interested in.
Also, like many others here I'd probably use your code over one of the mainstream players - most of them seem to be doing well enough with their own sponsors and stuff

League could do what Klei (dont starve) does with its loot. Idk how it works but actual streamers who have "drops" enabled allow the viewer to get like a free icon, a background and an item skin. However its based on how long the viewer watches the stream for. Engagement for both the streamer, the creator and the viewer.

I basically bought a lot of event pases thanks to prime, luckily i will be able to buy one more with the remaining months, but ill miss this dropd, i have almost all champions with at least one skin with that
I mean, basically everyone i know that would get the rewards from prime and would do it in that exploity way so you can get the stuff without actually buying prime so its not surprising.
Unless I'm missing something, the Kit-Kat loot has only been for EU. Whenever their Twitter account posts about loot box codes it's rules state that it was only for EU and Oceana, I think. I guess I should leave one capsule in my inventory as legacy loot after March.
A solution they could use would be to play a different Riot game, get a capsule for League by playing a game or so of TFT, they would create incentive to play their other games and could get people hooked into spending on their other products as well.
To be honest, when I heard that the twitch drops will be discontinued, I was sure it's because Riot is planning to release their own subscription game pass, where, for 4,99$ a month, you'll get access to every Riot Forge game and get monthly rewards for all their free-to-play titles. I was kinda surprised, to hear that the cancellation came from Twitch's side, since Legaue drops surely must be the one of the most prestigious items in the prime program, but knowing now, that Twitch was actually the one paying Riot, this decision makes a lot more sense.
Actually the only reason I was paying the Twitch prime was for game drops. I don’t care too much about free games , since you can get better deals from other places such as Epic Game Store or Steam Sales. So if they remove game drops I will no longer pay the sub.
I wonder how this works out, pay wise, when I have Prime and LoL but no twitch.

Oh no, i actually just stopped collecting my rewards because even though I'm logged into twitch and prime separately. I have to have a totally different password that would never save in my saves so i would forget it anyways. I haven't opened my rewards in almost a year if not more.

I play lost ark and Amazon is so cheap with their own game they’re publishing. Lost ark gets the worst loot. You get garbage like amethyst shards that are close to useless and occasional terrible hat skin no one would ever wear. To think they would have decency to give you at least 2 week aura as a bare minimum if not a whole month aura.

Yup. I would say more people are like you rather than the guys saying they kept returning to League for the Twitch drops though. After all it's mere economy, LOL is f2p, you don't pay a subscription so you might sometimes return just because. Twitch Prime requires you to pay for it to get various rewards, so if Riot games were your main thing you claimed in them and you don't pay for Amazon Prime to for example have access to Amazon Prime Videos, then you are gonna probably drop it after this and it's more likely you won't return. I'm quite sure most people were in Twitch Prime either for the Riot Loot or Loot for Gacha Games, since the free games they were giving out there are quite often just old/shitty/niche, like i claimed some but it's not like I was excited about it, even more I HAVE unclaimed games on Prime (like currently it shows like half, but overall i would say i claimed like 20% of the games that were there to claim since i got Amazon Prime) that i won't claim because they look very old or seem to be shitty.
For me I'm staying in both (or rather returning to LOL for a bit more than to play some games with friends from time to time), but it's because for Prime there is no mention of Honkai: Star Rail ending the deal, and because of Amazon Videos and for LOL because of Smolder, he's cute.
