    Why do you eat the standard american diet for your runner's recovery. The human body technically doesnt need this stuff and once you cut it out the body no longer craves it + better for you. ?

      In comparison to my college teammates and friends at home I eat much healthier and rather different from them so wouldn't say my diet is the standard American Diet. In general though, part of the joys of running 10+ miles a day is the fact you can eat practically anything you want! A lot of pro runners have opened up about how they eat what makes them comfortable whether or not it's healthy and they still perform at the highest levels. Sure the human body doesn't need things like sugar, but I love food that tastes good and I don't see a reason as to why I would give it up. I used to eat extremely clean for the months leading up to important races and yet I've performed much better during races where I ate what I pleased. Hope that helps answer your question!

    if this is really what you eat, i am very sorry for you and sad, that nobody close to you will or can show you, what healthy eating is. That video is quite heart breaking
