@@Crimson_Crisis_ not sure if that would work, i guess there are strong materials/resins to work with these days... But i dont have any experience with resin printers, sorry
I doubt that Resin will be stiff enough to handle the 60 lbs+ drawing weight the Theraband can provide although I must admit that I have solely experiences printing PLA / PETG /ASA. I guess even the stronger Resins are now able to handle mechanical forces very well.
Nice build video....but the Adderini has had it's time.....todays crossbows like the Slinghammer (with bolt conversions) and the XB crossbows are king. Much more versatile, much more stable than the Adderini / Mini Adder ever were. You have came across many of my Add Ons for the Adderini if you are over at Cults3d. Like the Bike Videos as well....ride a CYC X1 full suspension and a BBS HD Fatbike myself.
@@HolgerBeetz Hi Holger, thanks for your comment, yes i guess i have seen some of your add ons for the adderini at cults3d while i was researching for that project :-) Interesting, i have to take a look at the slinghammer, thanks for the hint 👍 Cool thing that you also have the CYC X1 and the BBSHD, i guess its not much of a coincidence, but rather that you have done a good job on the research about possible ebike motors. I wish you a nice day
@@Dirt-E-Bikes I wish you a nice day as well and a happy new year. If you are up to shooting steel balls I suggest you have a look at the BB Hammer as well. The Slinghammer so far with the bolt modification of EHeiimgartner is IMo still on par with the XB3/7 crossbows. I have printed a lot of XB crossbows though and a BB Hammer as well. Unfortunately not time to do movies.
I think they are in my adderini upgrade files on patreon ;-) But the charging clips in the original adderini files are better i guess. Did you check out those?

Was gonna subscribe for that clip but I saw that they're not meant for broadheads :( I modified my adderini's magazine and extended it from 6 to 10. I have used it i na self defense scenario, too!
U are definitely on to something with the metal trigger bc i just sheared a 60% petg cf one in half with the cheapo "mini crossbow" bow limb. Obv replaced with a 100% infill print but not to confident in its longevity tbh.
@@jaminmayo7125 yes, i also splitted a PLA one in half before i ordered the metal one. Still, the place where its connected to the reciever is not very strong. I mean, the metal trigger is, but where its mounted to the plastic body, that would be the next weak link in the system. Till now, everything holds, but i try to handle it very safely when loaded ;-)
@@Dirt-E-Bikes did u ever get a price quote on an aluminum magazine body? Just curious tbh it could be cool the rest of the parts don't seem to get much wear at all \look really good for prints
@@jaminmayo7125 right, and a good idea, but i guess that would be at a very high price. You can upload the stl file of the magazine at pcbway.com to check how much it would cost. I guess it could be cheaper to get it done by cnc instead of metal 3d printing... (You can also get a instant quote on pcbway.com for that as well)
@@markhuckercelticcrossbows7887 nice, i have to switch my nozzle to a hardened one, then i will also try some carbon filamnets. I used mainly PETG, and one thats called "NiceBio". Some small parts where printed in ASA and the trigger is made from aluminium (ordered from PCBway)
Could you print this with a resin printer? or the slinghammer for that matter?
