Great video. Very interesting upgrades. I like especially the belt blocker. Layer today I am gonna see if my cable touches anything and if so I will build the cable guide. And what I like the most is your honesty. Resolving the solution of your mistakes.
Thank you for your kind comment, i really appreciate it. The Belt blocker works fine, but currently i am editing part 6 of this series in wich i replace the belt tension blocker on the x axis with a camera mount that also holds that adjusting wheel in place. I wish you a good time printing and much fun in this awesome hobby :-)

@Alex-uh1mj yess torque sensing is nice, but 2000w at 60v? This is not the stock setting i guess, are you talking about a upgraded one? Where did you find this?

Hi Odeball, yes i have to try these, i ordered 2 high flow nozzles some time ago, they also make a big difference, especially in 0.6mm. they still work fine, no clogging so far and way less print time :-) Do you use the diamond back in 0.4, and what printer are you useing? Cheers ✌️

The Bafang middrifes works mostly on Mountainbike bottombracket standards, so you have to make sure that it will fit before ordering. But the Bike looks very cool :-)

U are definitely on to something with the metal trigger bc i just sheared a 60% petg cf one in half with the cheapo "mini crossbow" bow limb. Obv replaced with a 100% infill print but not to confident in its longevity tbh.
@@jaminmayo7125 yes, i also splitted a PLA one in half before i ordered the metal one. Still, the place where its connected to the reciever is not very strong. I mean, the metal trigger is, but where its mounted to the plastic body, that would be the next weak link in the system. Till now, everything holds, but i try to handle it very safely when loaded ;-)
@@Dirt-E-Bikes yeah mine busted while shooting 1 handed and something didn't catch right, I always use 2 hands now
@@jaminmayo7125 oh shit, can be quite dangerous when that happens 😲
@@Dirt-E-Bikes did u ever get a price quote on an aluminum magazine body? Just curious tbh it could be cool the rest of the parts don't seem to get much wear at all \look really good for prints
@@jaminmayo7125 right, and a good idea, but i guess that would be at a very high price. You can upload the stl file of the magazine at pcbway.com to check how much it would cost. I guess it could be cheaper to get it done by cnc instead of metal 3d printing... (You can also get a instant quote on pcbway.com for that as well)
Instead of a brim, you might want to try mouse ears just on the corners. They are a lot easier to remove.
@@ulaB Hi Balu, thanks for the hint, that sound good, i will try that on the next panels i print. Allways appreciate good tips 👍👍

@@Dirt-E-Bikes cheers butty 🥰 what filament was you using on the print? first 2 i made in pla then pla +, latest one ive done with a 40% carbon mix :)
@@markhuckercelticcrossbows7887 nice, i have to switch my nozzle to a hardened one, then i will also try some carbon filamnets. I used mainly PETG, and one thats called "NiceBio". Some small parts where printed in ASA and the trigger is made from aluminium (ordered from PCBway)
@@Dirt-E-Bikes i bet pcb way, that printing for craft cloud! not cheap, that alloy printing.
@@markhuckercelticcrossbows7887i think it was 50$ for 2 triggers.
Nice! Last week, I put together a BBSHD bike with the intent of using it as a do it all. It's very impressive. I got a Lekkie 40T HD ring, with motor cover, which offers a great offset while being a small chainring. I can still use 10 speeds out of 11, so essentially my cassette went from 11-51T to 11-48T. I'm using an Eggrider v2 with it, and a parallel battery module, which is super useful because I can charge both batteries at once, and I can choose to bring only one or both batteries with me depending on what I have to do that day. I get excellent range out of them, too (52V/20Ah + 52V/15Ah, so it's a lot of battery). With pedal assist and limited to 20 mph (the street legal limit in most of Canada), I get at LEAST 100 miles of range, and that's with me occasionally cheating and removing the limit to go faster when I'm stuck in car traffic. I haven't tried using throttle only yet, but I think that next time I go to work, I will, because after a 23 miles trip I still had about 80% battery left. I really love my BBSHD.
@@wandererstraining nice, that sounds like a excelent setup. What kind of batterys do you use? With throttle only i would suggest to not use the 2 smallest gears. They will wotk at the beginning, but not for long. I use throttle only most of the time, and getting away using the 3th gear, but even that gets eaten from the chain over time ;-) I wish you a lot of good rides with it :-)
@@Dirt-E-Bikes Thanks! And yeah, makes sense. I use the smallest gear only pedaling downhill, at which point the motor doesn't contribute anymore anyway. 😊 On throttle, I heard that the BBSHD is more efficient at higher RPMs, so I'll probably use my middle gear or around it. For long distances, and due to regulations, I'll also stay in "Road Mode", which is capped at 32 km/h in Canada (in BC at least). I occasionally switch to off road to go a bit faster when it calls for it, but using throttle only, I think it would be better to abide by the law, because I can't even pretend like my legs are doing the work if I'm going too fast. 😂😂 And I got my batteries from Affordable E-Bikes in Canada. Myles has been really nice to deal with. The bigger battery is a hardshell triangle. The smaller one is a brick, which I mount to my top tube. Feels pretty balanced that way. They're both made of Samsung 50E, and I think that they're 14S arranged. It's been pretty fun to work on setting it all up, too. A bit stressful because I wanted to be done with the project (mostly, there's always going to be things to tweak and upgrade) before September, but fun because I got to design and 3D print a lot of hardware for it. Btw, I went to check your website, and I think that it looks great. I particularly would appreciate articles, I tend to bookmark the most useful and interesting ones for reference.
@@wandererstraining thanks mate, the website is still in progress and i would like to write more articles but barely find the time for ot right now. I have to check out these batterys, sound like good ones, the 50E is a high capacity cell right? Something with 3000 to 3500 mah per cell i guess. Thats a good joice imo if you go with a that high capacity like in your batterys, so they should be able to provide enough amps without heating to much. And yes, the BBSHD (like all DC brushless motors) likes to run fast for a good efficency. You can really feel this when you use throttle from a stop. When it speeds up, and gets to a certain amount of rpm, you can feel that it pushes much more. That is roughly where the efficency starts to get in the "good range". Sorry for my bad english, i hope you can understand what i mean. normaly i check everything i say/wirte twice, but its late at night and just wanted to replay because i really like that kind of interaction with someone that shares the same passion ;-)
@@Dirt-E-Bikes I see what you mean for the BBSHD's preferred RPM! And no worries, you're easy to understand, man. English isn't my first language either, but I don't think that you "sound" German in the way you write in English. For the batteries, they're 21700s, so they're fatter than 18650. Each cell is 5000 mah (minimum 4900, as per spec). The 50S cells have a different power curve, and they can maintain higher power for longer. Affordable E-Bikes also offer Molycell batteries in a lot of their packs, which allow for higher amperage and better operation in cold weather. But the 50E have really good capacity for the price, and I want range more than power for exploration purposes. Could be fun tho to make a build with a different controller some day and to run a BBSHD on 72V. But I don't have the budget for a 2nd bike, lol. I spent a lot on making that one really good because it's aiming to replace public transit and act like a small car for me. A car that can go explore off-road and that costs $0.20 to fill up. 😁 Rest up well!
The one and only-BBSHD!

What's the trick for installing snaps for the tools? I push as hard as I can and can't get them to snap in.
@@boboscurse4130 you mean the hooks? Did you use a deburing tool on them?
@@Dirt-E-Bikes No I mean the snaps themselves.
@@boboscurse4130 ah oke, so it could be many things, but the most comen imo is in the print settings. Check these first. Maybe you have inner and outet walls that are slightly bigger or shorter than they should be. You can do a testprint an measure it to find that one out. Holes in prints often get a bit smaller diameter than they should. Also did you try to cut a bit away with a deburing tool? If that works, its also probabely that you have to check yout print settings. Maybe the material flow a bit too high, that was it in my case.
Not seeing the video on setting up WiFi to the Elegoo Neptune, do you have the name of the video or a link, thank you
@@tebald Hi Tebald, im not sure wich one it was, but i can tell you how i did it. I buyed a cheap wifi extender (one with a ethernetcable-out) and just pluged the ethernetcable thats included with the printer in that one. That is simple and works well.

Hi, there is a extruder fan shroud for this model. Could you please upgrade that and make a detailed video. I too scared to upgrade that. Your detailed instructions can help.
@@dragonzaid945 Hi Dragonzaid, thanks for the input, i can look into that, but it will take a while. Is there a problem with your original extruder fan? I did not had any problems with the original part for now, but maybe we can do a more powerful one or a more silent one.? Have a nice day ✌️
@@Dirt-E-Bikes I've been having trouble with my 3D printer overheating when I use it in an enclosure. The internal temperature rises, causing the filament to soften before it reaches the hotend and creating clogs. Because of this, I haven't had a successful print in a month. I saw a fan shroud on Printables from OrzOrzOrz and was wondering if you could possibly do a video on how to install that mod on your printer. I think it could really help with my issue. Thank you so much for your amazing content and help!
@@dragonzaid945 hey, i looked into it, the mod from Orzorzorz looks nice, but the latest version (v5) seems zo be not finished and have to be modified. That would take me a lot of time (Modigying the v5 model, ordering extra fan, building, filming and editing) and the video would be out in aprox 2 month, i guess thats way to late as you wish to get your printer up as fast as possible. Is your printer working fine without the enclosure? Do you print parts that require the enclosure? If you just need very strong and heat resistant filament, i could recommed trying the "NiceBio" filament i am using in some videos (adderini video for example). That prints very good on the N4 without any problems.
@@Dirt-E-Bikes Thank you for replying; it means a lot to me. I will try that filament. I built an enclosure for my 3D printer using drywall material, with a wooden frame and double-layered walls. This setup offers several benefits, such as allowing me to print at night without disturbing my neighbors and significantly improving bed adhesion. However, my 3D printer has been plagued with issues, and now I'm dealing with filament clogs. After extensive research, I discovered that the heat inside the enclosure causes the heat sink above the hot end to get very hot, prematurely melting the filament.
@@dragonzaid945looks like your enclosure is well tought, i want do build one too at some point but did not think about the improvement of the noise that would come with it. That would be a nice benefit, because lets face it - the N4 is very loud... So i can totaly understand why you need one. When you are printing without it, or when you print with opened enclosure, does the problem disapear?
Good stuff! Decking out my N4+ and 3P now!

dude i cant find the video to hooking up the wifi i've been looking for frickin ages oof...is it gone?
@@ladyliss5516 its was one of the first videos i did on the N4 upgrades... And i just mentioned to buy a cheap wifi extender with a ethernetcable output, to use the inclided ethernetcable that came with the printer. All you have to do is to connect the wifi extender with your router (as normal) and open your browser to type in the ip adress of the printer (you can see your printers IP on the display of the printer). If you do that, you can run the printer from your network (works with every pc or phone connected to your wifi). So i hope that helps you, you can find cheap wifi extender on aliexpress or amazon, just take one with a ethernet out.

@@Dirt-E-Bikes I'm having some problems leveling the Neptune 4 bed Any tips? Juat got mine Neptune 4 a few days ago.
@@pubgwithleo5596 Hi Leo, what exactly is the problem with leveling your printer? In general, you have to first manualy level the bed (do this for so long until you are happy with the leveling), then you can do the automatic leveling (the mesh). If you use fluidd (your PC connected to you printer) you can also look at the mesh after automatic leveling, and can adjust it by the leveling gears again, if there is one side that is more out of level. But after you did this, you should also do the mesh again. In my nevest video are also clips to lock the leveling gears, if they come loose on your printer while printing. That can help too.
What nozzle temp & speed did you use for spine & chain? I had 70 on the bed, 225 nozzle temp & 70 on speed and it didn’t work. Thanks for your time. Great videos.
@@TopBlackWaterSniper thanks Mate, i think to the time of the video i just used the standard (fast) settings for PLA. So 250 speed and 220°C on the nozzle, 60 on the bed (if i remeber correctly). What filament are you using?
@@Dirt-E-Bikes , Elegoo PLA neon green. (Kawasaki green 😉)
@@TopBlackWaterSniper nice, that printer will look sick when you install that 👍 What is the problem when printing spine and chain? Does it fall of the bed mid print?
@@Dirt-E-Bikes , it gets about 3% in and then gets all messed up. I ordered some Elegoo Rapid Plus+ filament to see if this might be the problem. The bed corner stops have been the only 2 things that printed with no problems. X and Y axis stoppers prints get a little over halfway done and then get snagged and then it’s ruined.

What type and brand of chain is best to cope with the torque of the BBSHD kit? And are quality heavy duty chains available for the Shimano and SRAM geartrains?
@@stevenbusk539 Hi Steven, for the chains, i go with the cheapest SRAM or Shimanos, whatever is cheapest at the moment. I do this since 10 years and never had a problem. "Quality E-Bike chains" are not worth it imo, they do the same as the cheap ones. You better go with a quality brand and take the cheapest model. But yes, there are a bunch of more expensive models you could use, they will work as long as they are compatible with your shifter and gears (10s,9s, or whatever your numbera of gears are).
What did you print the clips with? I printed them in PLA and they are way too stiff. I cannot open them enough to clip them on.

First of all: I like most of your videos, especially those about the Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro, but I noticed in this video hat the voice now sounds completely different. Just a few videos ago, the voice sounded much more real and personable. And that makes me wonder: do you use an AI voice generator to recite your texts? No offense, but the voice in the last few videos always reminds me of a TV merchandise seller. Those little commercials that usually run on TV for around 20 minutes, sometimes even for hours on a loop, and try to sell you overpriced products of questionable quality.
Thanks Thomas Yes the Voice is new, i used a "AI voice" in the past (Text to speak), this time i tried to speak it with my voice but was not satisvied with the result, so i found a voice filter, that just made my english sound a bit better clearer. I myself am not sure whats better or worse. So you liked the AI voice (from the previous videos) was better? Im happy to get this kind of feedback, thanks for that
@@Dirt-E-Bikes This voice is much better, but it is also clearly synthetic, and makes it seem automatically generated. Even if your own English is poor, people will like it better.
