My car is 19 months old already had 12 volt battery changed! It’s supposed to use battery when available but mine doesn’t so would get better mpg..and the engine is very noticeable at times that said it good to drive I have this model
Hi Both, I have had my eyes on a Nissan Qashqai with the new ePowertrain for a while now. How would you compare it against the Honda HRV, since I was tick boxing against my HRV that I have had for just over a year now and I think there are many comparisons between the two cars. What I have got used to in the Honda is how easy to drive it is, fuel economy, and flexibility, and speed of conversion, had some big old loads in mine, magic seats just made for garden centres! The one problem with wide opening doors is that they are prone to damage on the door edges. Looking forward to the road trip and I can soak in the ambience with you both.😊
Thank you George, currently we’ve got what we’d class as Electric HRV, the Qashqai is impressive, I do like e Power, thing is now they’ve unveiled the new one you wonder what that’s going to have that’s new or reverted 😀 yes magic seats make a Honda, they’re very similar powertrains in the full hybrid. Road trip is on the list :)
My neighbour has the same car and has had it 18 months no but sadly a lot of issues with the ePower generator as have quite a few Qashgui owners. Agree that it is lovely car when it’s working well
Oh, we’ve heard the odd thing, but for the volume sold it bodes well considering it’s rather young tech. Any issues getting repaired in timely fashion? Thank you Barry
Hi Enjoyed the SUV and all your comments about the vehicle and its layouts, the self-charging system seems a great idea. No home charging, what size batteries does it hold seeing that you can drive on EV only, and what sort of mileage can you expect, I would like to have more info, please, Can you leave me a link for a Brochure and Spec. seeing you have had this awhile, regarding the ware and tare of the inside, maybe more info as requested Great video by both of you. Regards welshman 2081
Thank you Welshman, it has a 2.1 kWh battery and 2-4 miles electric range, checkout out Nissan UK for a brochure. We had this Qashqai one week :) but it’s fairing well for its milage and who’s frequently driven it.
It’s an interesting one the box / drive, it’s referred to as both dependant on where you read, as the motor is attached to the wheels, it’s essentially a ratioed motor I presume.
Thank you, and how pray tell do we do that, the building is buckled meaning the doors are buckled and that’s just for starters, the other 2 acres are priority Chris

Is it mild or ePower?

Nice review! Qashqai is also one of the few Japanese cars still manufactured in the UK. Quite a big factory in Washington, Sunderland
Thank you Ryan, yes I completely forgot that, great they’re still up for manufacturing here, crazy it’s 40 or so years - road trip coming soon
I enjoyed watching the video review ☺️
Thank you, Jamie - glad you enjoyed it. We ended up on quite the road trip in this one! *A
Does this have pro pilot parking
It’s available yes, dependant on trim

I've had one for under a year and no issues whatsoever
@andycrane412 that’s great to hear, thank you for sharing your experience, it keeps things balanced with successes

@@PlanetautoUK Hi thanks, I did try, all I got was all the options you could purchase. Regards
@ronthomas380 Oki doki il see if there’s an online pdf
Hi Welshman - glad you enjoyed this review. Pure EV range is about 2-4miles, dependent on how you drive it, and the battery is relatively small.
Lets hope the gearboxes are better
This had an impressive box and hybrid system. Which box caused you some grief, thank you
It has NO gearbox 😉.

Very good review but you must sort out those garage doors!🫣
