    Thinking about getting this for my 2016 2ss is the lt2 worth it I’m hearing some people say u loose power get the msd intake but the lt2 just a lot cheaper i think if u do other mods with the intake it’s not bad

      I honestly don’t remember just went to autozone and did a fit test between their different sizes

    Do you need to re-tune the car?

    • @calvinrucks
      @calvinrucks  ปีที่แล้ว

      I did get it re-tuned. Idk if it’s a need but I wanted to get a rwhp number.

    • @lukeLT1ss
      @lukeLT1ss ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its not required but it is safer to get a tune for it as it does run a little leaner up top.

    Did you reuse the same brake booster line?

    Don’t do it guys, a waste of money. Does not work and actually reduces power output. I own a 2023 SS took if off and sold to some other sucker that wanted one. Told him it did no do anything for the money and he may even lose power. He bought it anyway and then came back weeks later wanted his money back, sorry I warned you I told him. I guess he is now trying to sell it to some other sucker.

      Definitely improved my numbers after proper tuning, but to each is own.

      @@calvinrucks after tuning I was down 5 hp on the same dyno, I did add the factory high performance axle back ex. That made a difference. The manifold may work better with dod delete. Not sure.

      @bettyg7710 Did you notice any torque loss? I feel like I'm down 50ft lbs of torque between 1500rpm-4000rpm. LT5 TB/LT2 manifold. I was really disappointed I'm also tuned. 2nd gear doesn't shove me back like it did when stock, but the stock manifold dies off past 5000rpm.
      I felt like the stock manifold was very fun on the street, but the LT2 shines on the highway. Can't have it all I guess.

      @@Slo_N_Low I can’t tell you why, I’m going to trust the engineers know what they are doing and therefore there must be a responsible explanation as to why they didn’t just adapt the manifold over. But yes, to answer your question I did notice a drop off in tq. Not 50lbs more like 15 to 20 same withe horse for hp. Maybe it has something to do with the DOD system. I know the cam is ground different on the DOD lobes and on automatic Camaros they have DOD valves in the exhaust as well that create back pressure when in 4cyl mod. They also add resistance when not closed because they are in the middle of the exhaust stream. I have gm factory cat back and I am working on a DOD exhaust delete using a new X-pipe and DOD plates for the servos. This way I will have 3in ex all the way back with no restrictions. I can highly recommend the gm cat back exhaust. Warranty stays intact! 0 back pressure and they sound great.

      @bettyg7710 Feels like a big loss only when I floor it in 2nd gear pretty sure it upset the flow. I'm still waiting on revisions for my tune, maybe the 95mm TB is too big for stock cam, and headers and still has factory exhaust. DOD makes sense too much air and nowhere to go.
