Great video. I'm about to do this mod this weekend. It's funny, I was just looking at the fittings earlier and then your link sent me to the same ones. lol. Can you tell me what torque specs you did for the intake bolts for the LT2?
@@demonworksmotorsports I just ordered it from them. I have an order on its way from Phastek, but they use a completely different fitting. One that requires me to cut mt stock tubing up. No thank you. So I wasted a little money, but that isn't the first time I've done that on my car.
Man would you mind telling what part number that 90° Dorman elbow on the front of the intake is? I've been looking all over for that. I have vacuum hose plugged straight into it and it's always bothered me
@@bobbywilliams1823 hello! I just wanted to know if you had a link or part number for the silicone hose you put on the doorman elbows? Mine is making a high pitch noise and looks like it’s sucking in so I’d like to replace it. Thank you in advance!
Wait until you go MSD. You will wish you didn't waste your time and money on the LT2. Cause that is how I felt... Only had LT2 on for about 2 months before going to MSD and 103mm TB.
Hey did you have your car tuned for the LT2 intake? I have an MSD & a 103mm TB. I also have a RotoFab cai that’s not installed on the car. Do I need to have the car tuned in order to install this stuff?
I would personally rather have the LT2 intake manifold with LT5 95mm TB for less than $700. OEM Parts mind you. MSD manifold is over $1K and 103mm TB depending on brand is $500-$700. After taxes that's definitely over $2K. Talk about wasting money.
Per loctite, there is a chance of cracking from loctite when used on thermoplastics and that is from the loctite expanding slightly when dried. It is my understanding the intake manifold is actually polypropylene and does not have the same risk. I appreciate the concern, others can opt to use a different product if they feel the need.
@@demonworksmotorsports I love my LT2 Intake. Was a cheap mod for good gains. Most people say, " Oh just go MSD. " but the main difference is price. Price to performance is always good too, and you can always upgrade to a bigger and stronger manifold down the road if you truly wish. For me however, my car is pushing 482 whp with my current setup and it's plenty of fun for the street and track days.
keep you ten speed with your automatic controls on it! the system is horrible! I will stick to a manual which I have which runs clear and clean! thank you
Wow, from left field on that one.... 2 ZL1 1LE's with manuals and decided to give the A10 a try. Enjoy your Manual, we can all be car people together...
Im going to be installing mine soon. Nice video
thanks for the kind words!

Thanks ! 44 In lbs then 89 in lbs.
Not listed is the fitting in the back, That is a GPI one that allows you to reuse the factory vacuum line.

@@demonworksmotorsports Also, what was the size of the tap? Can you throw a link up?
I don’t know how you are using the rotofab intake tube cause of the angle. I ended up using the factory intake tube on mine and works perfect.

Hi do you have for sale the C8 intake manifold cover ?? let me know
great video thanks
I do not, sorry.
I bought a nice plastic black carbon fibre look cover with no Corvette lettering from Ebay. $170-00 to my door (Canadian $ )..looks great...fits nice.
do you need to disconnect the battery when installing this
Always safest to.
What did you use to seal the back of the intake manifold? I couldn’t hear
teflon tape.
Put the cover back on
nah, it's not a corvette

@@Bens1LE well I bought my MSD intake off a good friend and the TB is new.
9:38 it lowkey sounds somewhat like a diesel
It does, always interesting what the camera will pickup more of with the mic 🎙️
Did you tune the car?
No, stock tune.
Locktite eats plastic 😮

Yes it's cheaper but not as good as an MSD. With all that work just spend the money.
it's really not much work, but we can all do what makes us happy.
