From the earliest settlers the Lebombo Mountains have been travelled by my many adventurers. Now you can enjoy the same routes in the luxury of your own vehicle guided by one of the Park's rangers. Would you say that offroad orientated tyres are required or would standard road orientated tyres on my bakkie suffice?

Hi NoneKing. We enjoy your content! You dont need an offroad biased tyre for this on your 4x4. Normal tyre would work. Lot of rock though. So from a toughness pov, it might be beneficial.

Hi There! It really is a wonderful experience and 100% worth it! You can book directly with Sanparks or on the Sanparks website. Its R11,200 per vehicle and you are allowed 4 people per vehicle for the same cost. Try to have a similair experience in Botswana, it will set you back double that amount.

What is the condition of the trail itself, will a 4x4 beginner manage the trail or does it require a bit of 4x4 experience?

Hi Zunaid. It’s not a 4x4 oriented trail. It is an eco trail with minimal 4x4 obstacles. If you don’t tow anything it will be no problem even for a beginner. Towing a caravan can be a little challenging but the park doesn’t recommend that at all.
