After quitting the corporate rat race, getting our kids through diapers and starting our own business, we finally have a bit of time to spend on the thing that we love.......ADVENTURE.
We want to instil this passion of adventure and travel into our kids, get them away from the Screens and out into the wild!
Follow us as we go into the world Chasing Sunsets.

Central Kalahari - Botswana - 🌞🇧🇼 - Watch this before attempting the Thick Sand
The Plan is to ride adventure bikes around the Central Kalahari Game Reserve of Botswana. That is 1,500km around the 5,2 million hectare Wilderness.
Its April in Botswana, and its supposed to be dry, But late rains in Southern Africa has the Kalahari full of mud AND soft sand as the sun as baking the scorched earth.
We leave Pretoria to reach Kalahari Vultures on day one. Just reach Kalahari Vultures we have two 4x4 recoveries and the trip takes us 12 hours.
At Kalahari Vultures we prep our bikes and we are all prepared for the next morning to take on the Cutlines around the Central Kalahari Game reserve.
But we soon found out that we thought that we are prepared. The Thick Kalahari sand is relentless and the Going gets way tougher than what we thought.

We did NOT expect this from Zinave National Park in Mozambique! What an Experience
มุมมอง 7612 หลายเดือนก่อน
We are in Ponta Barra for a Business trip and instead of heading back straight to South Africa we decide to take a road most only talk about. We have only heard stories of the road between Pafuri, where you cross the Limpopo at Mapai, all the way to Mabote. There is little information on it and we just had to find out for ourselves. While we are there, we decide to visit the Zinave National par...
Father and Son Adventure Trip in Africa.

a Few weeks back I did my first over landing trip with my 11 year old son through the waterberg mountains of Limpopo. He has been nagging me to take him with us on a trip and I have been waiting for the right time. For a few reasons, but mainly to make sure he can do a full day riding offroad and secondly to find the perfect place where we do not have to do any Tar roads for about 300kms and th...

The Battle with Bezuidenhout's Pass with two T7's
มุมมอง 8195 หลายเดือนก่อน
We are two riding buddies, friends of 30 years , with what you can comfortably call, different levels of riding capabilities. Bezuidenhout's pass starts not far from the town of Bergville in KZN. After a quick breakfast we attempt the beast. It start easy and gives you a false sense of security before the road disappear and you have two make your way up steep inclines of washed out ruts and roc...

We do Wild moto camping on a salt pan in Limpopo
มุมมอง 69811 หลายเดือนก่อน
We travel from Rankins Pass, along the fence of the Marikele game reserve, down Bakkers pass to Thabazimbi to make it to Steenbokpan with some time left in the day to fit in a beer. We ultimately watch the sun set over the African savanna while wild camping in the middle of a salt pan.......
Limpopo Moto Camping with 2 Yamaha Tenere and Husqvarna Fe510
มุมมอง 74611 หลายเดือนก่อน
We leave Pretoria on a Friday morning and head north with the idea to camp somewhere around the Marekele Game Reserve. As we run out of sunlight and I out of talent we only make it to Rankins pass where we camp in an old hunting cmp on a friendly farmers farm.

Where was this road in Botswana?
It was the Eastern cutline of the CKGR from Lephepe north.
So the KTM clutch lasted 80 km. Good to know. Should've taken the T7s or a Honda. Great video and adventure . Thanks for sharing 👍
Sorry to say my friend but it was one of the T7s that blew the clutch. Thanks for the compliment!
T700's spot on bikes for the trip !
Thanks. We have done the same trip with 501 and XR650 before, but little match up to the T7s. Just love them!
"Don't know if there's enough fuel, water, petrol, but I'm sure the Klippies stock would be bevange !!!😂😂
To be honest. We were carrying way more water and fuel! But there is always room for sufficient Klippies! 🤣
you're in the top fraction of a percentile of parents. Most would never even think of doing such a thing - and would probably criticize you for it. Absolute respect for what you're doing as a father! And having your mates buy in speaks volumes about your community of comrades...
Thank you Mate. Really appreciate your comment!
Glad the Land Cruiser was able to side step running Mz children actors….. well done on sharing your trip . Bush looks 12:07 stunning 🔥🍺 ian
Thanks Ian. Lucky enough to escape the scam this time. Zinave is just stunning. Have you been there?
@@sunsettribegear unfortunately not…. Yet!! Will be going through the gate at Pafuri on way to Gonarezhou in Zim in September. Hoping to be able to cross without the ferry then…. Thanks ian
@ianmansfield9654 I sent you the number of the fairy operator at Mapai if you want to cross there. 👍🏻
you guys obviously klap the pace when you get going on those gravel highways!
Then its flat taps!!!
Are we supposed to guess the position on the map?
Hi Jack. What position do you want mate?
Next time rather take a support vehicle to carry the luggage so you can ride light plus you can take a freezer to keep the ice frozen so the Brannas is lekker cold
Hi Russell, we attempt to do all our trips unsupported. Stupid some might say….
Bikes most suited for this kind of trip are KTM 500, 690, XR 650, etc. I've done a similar in the 80s through the Kalahari and across Namibia to Swakopmund on my XR 500 and it was a blast. your bikes are way too heavy for those conditions....
We have also done similar Botswana tracks with the 500 and XR650 so we know the drill.
XR 650, or DR 650. And less kak in your luggage. Less dop, more water. Better fitness ...🥴
Well done guys You don’t know until you know 💥💥💥
Exactly! 🤣 We knows not what we knows not.
And now you know.
Awesome, but done some sand in Zim and bots myself, and hate the stuff.... not for me and becomes more of a pain than adventure.... but well done.
I cant disagree. It becomes just a massive challenge where you are not looking forward to the next km. Short stretches of sand is fine but when it becomes 100km of sand it’s relentless.
Hell dit lyk lekker. Sal like om iewer en een dag so te kan toer. Kort nog net n bike.
Martin, was vir lank net n droom. Maar begin met enige bike. Selfs n 200 dal die job doen!
Fantastic video and really helpful information about N222. I Just wanted to know that fallen bridge at 14:34 is located North or South Banamana Lake? I am planning to do this route from Sango Border to Vilankulo in May and I am trying to get as much information as possible to get around the Lake (also hoping the water levels will drop)
Hi there. The fallen bridge is west of Banamana. You want to stick as far south around the lake. Ask locals where the best route is. From the southern point of the lake to the next town is the worst bit. From there to Mabote and Vilankulo is fine again.
Is there a way to get the route that you drive in your videos
Howzit, yes. Please drop me a DM in Facebook or Instagram and Ill share the GPX file.
@sunsettribegear ok thank you appreciate it
nice video I will keep it as inspiration for my channel
