  • What does it take to open a restaurant in Bangkok, Thailand? In this episode I sit down with Lenny Nigro, Chef Owner of the brand new restaurant “Molino” on Sukhumvit Soi 11. Lenny tells us his story, including meeting fellow Bangkok Chef Anthony “Tony” Burd (Tony's Bangkok Sukhumvit 11) on an agriturismo in Italy, finding a job half a world away in Hong Kong, and eventually landing a new opportunity in Bangkok.

My new fav hang out spot in bkk! Amazing food, my favs are the larb chicken tacos (I’m sure 100% all Thais would love this) and the cheese dip nachos he mentioned in the video. And frozen margs are👌🍸🤤

I love Mexican Food being from Southern California. Interesting interview. Never really found any authentic tasting Mexican food in Thailand. I did not know that about the difficulty of getting authentic ingredients. Sounds like someone should do a farm to table growing the things they need to be authentic. Will check out “Molino”. A very personal question, are you doing AI thumbnails, really nice?

Back in January I noticed Molino’s and nearly tried it, but ultimately settled for something else. After watching this interview, I’m regretting that decision. I’ll be back in a couple months and I’ll definitely try it out.

My wifes Thai and I love Larb Moo Tacos, a great Thai twist on Mexican food. Load with lettuce, tomato, cheese. Aroi mak mak

The title of the video should be “American opening a Mexican restaurant in Bangkok Thailand”. How did I miss this restaurant? I was right on SOI 11 in December 2023 I could only see Margarita Storm right on the main road but that’s hardly Mexican. one of the best Mexican restaurants in America is Jimmy Changs in Houston Texas.

It opened late December 2023 so maybe it wasn’t open yet!

Hi Eric excellent interview as usual. Just a quick question I'm heading over to Thailand shortly for a few months is there any particular insurance company you might recommend.
    Thanks

I’ve been researching it this as well. I don’t have any specific recommendations at this moment but if you check out Jonny There is Something Happening he did a few videos on the topic recently
