- Tonight we’re joined by world traveler Erick Prince ( @minoritynomad ) to chat about what foreigners misunderstand about Thailand, the effect of social media on travel, music festivals, nightlife in Bangkok, and what it’s like being an African-American in Asia.
Erick has been to over 95 countries on his quest to become the first African-American to visit every country in the world. Through his travel blog, Erick has had the chance to work with brands like Facebook, Singha Corp, LAN Airlines, Lonely Planet, Intercontinental Hotels, and Sony. Through his work, he continues to inspire African-Americans, Latinos, and those from low-income communities to explore the world.

Love this guy. You can tell he's a solid, thoughtful human being.
This was a really great convo. Erick has plenty of bars (quotables) in this one. You've set up a great forum for good discourse and facts. New subscriber.Thank you!
Thanks for checking it out 💪
I am from Philadelphia and I love Thailand for the beautiful city and night markets , food , night life , low crime rate , the massages, the exchanges rates , the list goes on ❤
Hello! I'm David from Hungary, and it was really nice to hear that Hungary and Budapest were mentioned. I love your channel, keep up the good work!
Thanks for watching
Issan very nice, quiet, and peaceful. Only downside is Extreme isolation, loneliness. No Farang foods.
I would like to explore that region. Thanks for the comment 🙏
Great interview and a lot of info this guest!
Thank you 🙏
this was a great interview!! lots of great insight into Thai culture. Erick has helped many travelers like myself over the years❤ "being black overseas is a superpower" AGREEEEEED!!!❤
Great interview.
Per the recommendation, I just listened to Tupac's, "Brenda has a baby". Wow...
Brilliant stuff guys. I too am a man of colour - from Australia living between the two countries for the past 2.5 years. There are many aspects of this dialogue I appreciate, however the brief moment of naming and honouring of the Issan culture and people is absolute ‘Gold’!!!!!!
Thanks for watching
briliant guy taking all think real 100% agree!!!
Thanks for watching
Superb. Learned so much from this. Thank you!
Thanks for watching
I like the enthusiasm and got a chuckle from the comments about being before social media. I moved here in 1977 so know something about coming to Thailand without any information beforehand.
I do disagree on the subject of Isaan. I understand why expats gravitate to the region but that is a major reason I would never live there. After 30 years in Bangkok I moved to Chiang Rai and much prefer everything about northern culture.
I've been to Chiang Rai. It's beautiful.
Gary Butler is kick ass!
Yea he's a great guy
Fantastic interview chico :)
