I have watched a lot of your videos and I have to say that it astounds me that some woman hasn't scooped you up. You remind me of my fiance in many ways, bookish, articulate, physical with the running, love the outdoors, love to travel, positive attitude even in the face of disappointment, hard working, family orientated. I mean, I don't see what else a girl could want unless she is just focused on finding a rich guy. Obviously, you are in complete control of what we see of you, which doesn't include knowing everything about you or seeing you at your worst, but god knows my fiance has often seen a side of me I wouldn't necessarily want the rest of the world to see and vice-versa. I wish you the best and I'm sure that you will find someone that appreciates what a prize you are.
That's such a nice thing to say and I really appreciate it! Yeah, I'm not perfect and I probably should put myself out there a bit more, but your kind words have definitely given me an added confidence. Thank you!
Rolo's is definitely a spot that I'll be going to in the future. I've been to Jackson Hole, but I was at the one in Queens and I've been to Joe Junior's and really enjoyed that one.
I had never even heard of this place - looks great! Thanks for another great video. (I genuinely appreciated how you said you didn't want to waste anyone's time/didn't waste time on any click/bait titles - the quality of your videos speaks for itself).
Thank you so much! I appreciate it! Yeah, it annoys me seeing misleading and clickbait titles on videos from other people so I do my best to stay away from that. I definitely want to gain subscribers and views, but I want to do it my way by showing respect.
James, that burger with the watercress looks so good. Even the bun looks great. Have been to NYC once, but will never get back there. Would love to stop at PJ Clarke’s. In my dreams.
This channel has become a happy place for Me, I thank you. I appreciate your angle on the fine dining scene for those who are not wealthy and have to save for these occasions 😭 keep up the great work!
I’ve binged so many of your reviews and it started with just being suggested the Michelin star ones, once I subscribed I grew to enjoy your easy, straight to the point reviews of all sorts of restaurants. Much respect for keeping it honest and thorough. Can’t wait to eat at some of these spots when I’m in NYC again! You gotta hit up my city, Toronto!
Congrats James on having a very goodly number of subscribers! The Raoul's burger looked killer hot and I am so happy to know that you enjoyed it immensely. Keep exploring and letting us trail along with your adventures. Ciao.
I watch your videos as much for the scenes of NYC (I'm slightly nostalgic for the time I had spent in the city in my early youth) as for the food. Congratulations on 10k, I'm sure you'll reach many more subs in time. Keep the dream alive!
We are planning a trip to NYC soon and probably spend an entire week there. You videos are helping me narrow down a list of places to eat at. Love your videos so far and thanks for them. You mentioned not mentioning to like and subscribe and not using click bait titles and images that's for sure commendable and something that will make me subscribe to a channel and like their videos more on my own.
It always brightens my day when I see a new video from you. I always open immediately! I would have selected the same dessert. Thanks for revealing your brush with fame and celebrity. Congrats on now 14,000+ subscribers. I see a trend developing!
This FOOD editorial review is so addicting, you're so well read... and articulate, I am so soothed by your voice for God knows what reason. I can't stop watching... literally the reason why I watched YOU... the way Joe talks lmaooo (I am crying) but in a subtle way you are entertaining to watch and you definitely give so much Value in your videos. THANK YOU!!! And SPEAKING of BOBBY FLAY!!! lolol that's so cool!! I didn't see that coming but I literally just commented that I visited his restaurant here as a kid!!! That's so cool!
First, congratulations on hitting a sub milestone. See you are close to 15K now. Good for you. Nice video. Different combination of ingredients but it seems to work well. Glad you enjoyed your meal and your comments are always spot on. Stay well.

@@Jamesnu We were in NYC last week visiting our daughter (who works at CPZ), and after seeing your review, we reserved a table at Delmonico's for lunch. It was a spectacular meal and was quite special. Expensive, yes, but I'll never forget it. Thanks for the great review

This is wayyyyy too much for a burger but the other prices for burgers are crazy too. A burger is still a sandwich after all. I’m glad you enjoyed it, it looked divine. I would watch you eat a bag of skittles at this point. I really dig your vibe! More videos please!
Hey Andrew, as you know I really like your videos. Ever thought about including little interviews with the staff or other guests? I think that would really kick in with the views. Also would like to see you in some nice dress shirt, maybe with a tie ... something with a nice collar. Bring it man!
Thank you! Yeah, in some circumstances I feel like interviews with staff and maybe even other customers would really fit in well with my videos. At the same time, I'm also trying to review these places so I don't want to draw too much attention to myself and what I'm doing, but maybe in the future I'll be able to incorporate interviews in some manner.
This was my favorite video you have created so far. My heritage is Sicilian/Alcastian so this video really fit the bill for me. The interior of the restaurant was gorgeous. The burger itself looked marvelous. I was quite surprised however to see such a seafood focused principle menu. I would think for a french bistro type restaurant, there would be more traditional meat offerings like a lamb offering, duck or Cassoulet perhaps. Maybe it was just seasonal for the warmer months? Cheers from Buffalo New York. Happy Subscriber. Also, great watch! I like Hamilton Khaki Automatics. Look forward to the next video!
Thank you so much! Absolutely! I really like Hamilton watches too! The restaurant's menu has probably changed a bit since it started. Their most recent chef was the one who added the burger to their menu and perhaps is more inclined to cook fish. Either way the food I saw other people eating looked great and this is definitely a place I want to go back to and try some of their other offerings.

I used to work right across the street from Raoul’s. It’s a beautiful little restaurant and always packed! The food is very very rich. I recommend fasting for a few days after a meal there. Nothing on their menu is light fare 😆
Thank you! I appreciate it! Yeah, I should definitely get out of the city a bit more. There's so many places around NYC that I haven't checked out yet.
James, I 100% agree with you on the decor of this place. It looks really cozy and nice. That burger to me looks like the best one I've watched you review thus far. The style you use while reviewing these places is right up my alley. Down to earth, plain language, and easy to follow. You have a great niche here that I haven't seen much of, if any on YT. I'd say what I thought about Bobby Flay but mama always said if you don't have anything nice to say, shut up. It is cool to see these highly recognized people out in the wild though, for sure. LOL While dining in various NYC spots I've run into many super star athletes and seen a bunch of stars and well known mobbed up guys including Gotti. NYC is different than any other American city that way. I used to skate with the Blackhawks in Oak Park here when I was a kid. I ran into Phil Esposito a few decades later at a Steakhouse in NYC. I was with my senior partner. As he was pointing Phil Esposito out to me, Phil recognized me and said hello by name. He walked over to our table and we chatted for a few minutes. I won a lot of "boss" points that night. Thanks man, enjoy your weekend. I'm really enjoying your channel.
Thank you! I'm glad that you're enjoying my videos. Yeah, that burger was incredible and I really liked the decor and feel of the restaurant. Indeed, it's surprising to run into famous people. Thank you! Those are Persol sunglasses. I really like them and they're great quality!
@@Jamesnu Ah, thanks for the tip. I suspected they were Persols. Really sharp shades.
nice must have
Absolutely!
Plus you got about $5 worth of au poivre sauce.
Exactly!
are you telling me it is better then MCDONALDS??????? hahahaha
Haha! Yeah, it's a bit better than good old McDonald's. Haha!
Did that guy in the background just flip you off?
Maybe, it looks like he made some gesture. Haha! Not everyone in NYC is friendly.
@@Jamesnu he was just jealous😝
Do you need a reservation to sit at the bar?
Nope. I think the bar is reserved only for walk-ins.
Au Poive sauce sold separately for $44.95. That's wild.
Yeah, it's expensive.
Apart from the decadent burger, I have the exact same Bambino! cheers
Nice! That's a good watch!
The burger looks good but I need to try that Manhattan
Indeed! It was a great burger and great drink!
Wow you got to Bobby flay
It was a nice surprise.

It was very delicious!
Raouls burger is so good man
Absolutely!
I'm getting married halloween week and was still hoping we could meet up Saturday October 28th. In the afternoon or evening. If that works for you. Thanks again
Big fans
I remember! That's incredible! I should still probably be free.
We took out some Greek food the other day. It was not good at all. The gyro was not crispy at all and the calamari were like really ..dougy...
Whish I had a burger like this, but....✌
That's a shame. Yeah, some meals just don't quite deliver, but there's always the next meal!
