Sparks may not serve rib cuts these days, but according to the true crime classic book "Boss of Bosses" by Joseph O'Brien and Andris Kurins, Big Paul Castellano would regularly enjoy a nice big prime rib from Sparks - at least he did prior to being whacked outside there with his underboss Tommy Bilotti (by Gotti's crew, as mentioned) on December 16, 1985. They said in the book that he preferred his prime rib cut from the third rib, because the meat on that rib is apparently the juiciest, most tender cut on the rib. Big Paul had been a butcher and a meat salesman in his younger years, and he knew quite a bit about beef and other meats. They also said in the book that he felt slighted by Sparks management because he had been a loyal customer for many years, yet he had never been offered so much as a complimentary drink there.

Safe Journey! CHOLULA!!!
How would a pan fry a sirloin to look like theirs?
You should never have to apologize or explain not drinking or smoking. Your life is your own. I’m just happy to see your reviews.
Looks good! I really wanted to see the desserts too but I'm glad the steak and potatoes were a hit!! No pun intended 😂
Where is the pun? Not teying to be mean.
Nevermind, 2 mins in, Gotti
FYI - It was Mafia boss Paul Castellano who was shot dead right outside the front entrance. Gotti and his right hand man, Sammy "The bull" Gravano were parked just down the street and saw it all. Made sure it happened and then drove off.
@@babermehboob9402 At least he had a nice last meal.
Haha love puns. It was a perfect meal, mis-steak free

Thanks for posting. I've never eaten at Sparks . I'd like to try it . Best Steak I've had was at The river palm terrace in edgewater nj . The porterhouse
best NY strip I have ever had!!! I have eaten at all those steak houses on you list, multiple times.
That wine menu is very informative in the way that they indicate the wine’s origin! I like that! I know you’re not a big wine drinker, but if you ever see ‘Pinotage’ under the red section, let me know 😜🙋🏻♀️🍷 It originates from our country 🇿🇦
Wow - that steak looks delicious, and your reaction to the flavor is priceless! The texture looks great too! The hash browns look incredible, too.
Great review!
Thank you for an honest opinion on each item.
Have you tried the steak at Quality Meats in Midtown? Is it possible to make review? Thank you.
