HIIIII!!! Hope u like this silly little art vid! I am so sorry to any oil painters out there that had to watch this struggle. Idk how yall do it??? Anywayss if you have any fave Bob Ross phrases please share so we can collectively appreciate how great he was!!
So excited for this!! My grandmother used to repeat this Bob Ross quote all the time: “talent is a pursued interest. Anything that you’re willing to practice, you can do” It’s something I love to remind myself of when I get major art imposter syndrome lol
Your painting is so good for a first time! I’ve been debating between getting into painting or upgrading my iPad or getting a bigger drawing tablet. Now this makes my decision harder because this looks so fun!
@@tofugoob well I’ve gotten some other new art supplies this year I haven’t used so I’m trying to choose wisely right now until I make use of what I have lol.
Are you kidding me? You did amazing! Good job, I can’t believe for your first time how it turned out, that oil painting is gorgeous 🥰 so happy for you for ticking off a goal you’ve wanted to do for so long. Love that feeling 🙌🏻 thanks for the good vibes!
you are so inspiring! - I love Bob Ross - and when I was a little little kid I used to watch reruns of this guy named Jon Gnagy and he was just like Bob: if you wanted to draw and paint and your heart was in it, you could do anything - and your first oil painting was so good! - and when you said 'he's trying to teach me but I won't listen" well that was my whole school career right there - this was one fantastic video, and I think what I love most is that you won't let anything stand in your way - good for you! - (but please buy a pallette! - lol)
Yayyy Bob Ross love! I never noticed how huge his palette was...or how huge his afro was haha. Your painting turned out great!! If you'd like some more challenges it'd be cool to see you attempt a paint by numbers and give it some style! I used to love doing those but they always came out so basic so I would try to change them a bit to fit my style.
Perhaps someone else has mentioned that Bob advised to use a paper towel over the surface to remove excess of the Liquid white or liquid back. When you are using the knife I think the shape of the knife was backward because you are left handed. ( My husband and oldest daughter were/ are lefties...so I know the complexity you encounter. As for the speed of the painting...he developed techniques with practice (why he did more than one review painting) so he could complete a full painting in 1/2 hour. That was so we didn't have to watch multiple programs to see a completed painting. He always would say his time was limited but you could take as much time as you needed at home. I did take one of the classes his folks teach. I have a really beautiful painting completed in a half hour. I was amazed! Enjoyed your video.
I've been watching Bob ross for months and I'm still stuck on getting my paint to break when doing mountains lol. Your first attempt is far better than every attempt I've made so far for sure! I need your patience
wooow, that was one of your best videos, AND i have to admit that from where i stand you did a better job than him! i just love it! so funny when you treat painting like make up, it's basically the same i agree!! 😅
Bob was a great painter , I painted like 20 paintings with him. Yours looks very good, ❤ it but I switch to acrylics to get away from the thinner fumes, I like acrylics, we'll that's just me. 😊
@@tofugoob I'm trying to purchase a membership on your Patreon but it says you're not accepting new sign ups at this time. Any idea when you'll open it up again?

Lmbo on dropping the paint.something I'd do
Bob Ross cool 🆒😎
Lefty club!!!!
I find with oil paint, using a lot of paint and not a lot of oil makes it easier for these types of paintings
Lets goooooo! I love bob ross so much ❤
