This was honestly one of the best time travel stories in any medium, not just gaming. Def an underrated gem and well worth the time to play for anyone who hasn’t.
The next video is going to be on Alan Wake 2, and I wanted to be completely up to date, that’s why I decided to get around to QB. That and I finally got around to picking up a Xbox haha.
14:00 The Mocap is indeed exceptionally good for the time, but the cutscenes are all prerecorded and not live rendered, so Remedy was not forced to rely on consumer resources for the replay. Which ensured a high fidelity in the processed mocap data and the ability to polish the rendering.
Killer video man. Having played control recently I really dig the vibe of what remedy is trying to do, but I I feel like their gameplay kinda lacks a bit. Still they are literally doing something no one else is doing and for that I respect them for pushing the envelope and doing something with their unique style.
Thank you, my friend. Always trying to figure things out. I think Remedy does world building and presentation better than most, but I can see why a lot of people are a little lukewarm on their gameplay. In my opinion their gameplay is always fairly simple, kind of similar to the PS2 era in a lot of ways. I dig it, but I can see how it can feel a little undercooked. Can’t wait to start Alan Wake II tonight.
@@digitalhauntology I was immediately hooked by controls world building. I honestly wish they could make movies with a massive budget with a24 or something. Fucking killer style.
Happy Birthday, my friend! Hope you enjoy the video. I'll be checking out your Call of Duty Video tomorrow when I get some downtime. Awesome to see you here again!
Man, I’m glad you’re doing better- 2 months is brutal. I love your videos, even though I saw you delisted some of them. But keep it going, the channel is rad. Hope you enjoy QB. If you have GamePass, it’s a cheap way to jump in.
First time I saw Lance Reddick he was in the TV show Lost and then Fringe. He also had a significant role in the game Horizon Zero Dawn. Talk about someone who steals every scene he's in! He never seemed to be a front for racial politics as well. Another fine video btw! Sadly I have no fave Remedy game. I hated Control and I only got through 1/4 of AW. And, yes, I'm prepared to face the trolls.
Lance was the absolute best. No matter how small the role, he was a man who put everything he had into every scene. Amazing talent, RIP to a great one. Thanks for watching, my friend. I personally loved both of those games, but they are definitely not for everyone. Super excited to dive into Alan Wake II. Always good to see you here!
Oh woah I didn't realise he was in Horizon Zero Dawn but now that you mention it, yeah the model for Stylens looks just like him. He was also in the Resident Evil tv series
What is your favorite Remedy game?
Max Payne 2 was peak Remedy and personally I'm annoyed they seem to be trying to tie Max Payne into all the other Remedy nonsense.
Hell of a game. I still think about the Funhouse section regularly.
Thank you for watching!
CrossFireX
The real forgotten Remedy game.

Definitely a rad take on it.
The Time Machine design alone is insane.
Thank you for watching!
Apparently there are references to Quantum Break in the new Alan Wake game. So probably some renewed interest in the game recently.

Awesome factoid.
They certainly know what they are doing over at Remedy.
Thank you for watching!

I love control just because of freedom and powers but respect others prospective.
I envy you. I so wanted to love that game.@@AD3SPG

huh, now that I think about it I think Quantum Break is the only major Remedy game I haven't played
I hadn’t either until this video.
Had to fix that before Alan Wake 2
I love Quantum break
