Amazing battle Brandon! This is an incredible amount of work - live and raw with regular disucssions with chat. Truly an impressive feat. At the end of the day, I must admit I'm in love with the Titan!
You turned the vsync on in TITAN 18HX in Dead Space...TITAN was stuck to its 120hz and cannot get any 1 FPS higher than that, you should notice this bruh
The 18-inch MSI Titan is the perfect example of you paying a lot more money and get diminishing returns or minor improvements. I’m frankly not surprised by the performance result, the MSI Titan is literally the best gaming laptop in existence and comes at a steep price.
Really like the way you compare and test laptops in your videos. On thing I am missing is like the total power consumption while idling when using the integrated gpu and while doing light tasks like browsing and watching some TH-cam. Other than that great helpful videos!
Very nice video, I selected MSI Titan 18 despite all these laptops. Even in silent mode this laptop using 80W GPU and no noise at all and if you want go for 200MHz boost that's crazy. Also I like your pauses within video appeals to me as tired off youtubers continuously speaking clearly shows its paid.
I appreciate your in depth review! At this point would you opt for a Raider 18HX 4080 at 34% discount or wait for the 50-series? I’d like to use for work and gaming. Screen size looks amazing!
It may not be a good idea to put laptops next to each other. They have side ventilation, so they may be operating at higher temperatures than expected and adjusting performance. Anyway, great job, anyone would like to have one of those beasts!😃
19:50 I don't even have these options on my 2023 Scar 18 4090. My System Configuration only consists of WinKey/ROGKey/Touch Pad/Boot Up Sound/Power Panel Saver....Am I doing something wrong?
u will have everything including panel overdrive. The only thing scar 18 2023 doesnt have is the multizone one cuz its IPS panel, the 2024 one is using mini-LED so it has that function
1 percent lows are the biggest factor for me on these high end gaming machines. I wonder if there is some performance/technical issue reason why MSI left G-SYNC off? Insane how much better the Titan is for 1 percent lows.
1% low FPS actually affects the game experience very much, especially when the FPS reaches 100+, this will be the only factor that affects smoothness, when 1% low drops, the game will seems laggy. Even you have 200FPS for average but 50FPS for 1% low, the game will still feels stutter Gaming test should also record 1% low FPS to the result, this is important
The titan's 1 percent lows is the best I've ever seen. I'm really wondering why G-Sync was left off and if it had to do with any issues it was causing with it. Lots of these gaming laptops including the Razer 16 I have with 4090 have pretty bad 1 percent lows which ruins the experience.

I was looking in bios setup if there is setting for core optimalization but i cant find it.... i am desperate
48:07 The bloom difference is what is pushing me to the ASUS 18, as now I can’t unsee it on the titan. I love OLED screens, my friend has the ASUS Proart with the ,killer OLED. This I think to me is the closest to that in 18 inch gaming laptops. The refresh rate also does helps the decision too, even though I absolutely prefer the build and look of the Titan with the glass palm rest touchpad and overall materials.
In my opinion it is possible to make a big difference because of raid 0 on the Titan and much better read and write speeds, but it doesn't make sense to be that huge . Great comparison as always🙏
@@Diego.p I have looked at many laptops, coming from a desktop and leaning towards the scar 18 myself so thanks for the reply! Appreciate it. How is the experience for you so far with the scar 18? :)
@@renstillmann I am very satisfied with mine. Yesterday I did the benchmark test for the game Black Myth Wukong. Maximum settings. averaged 60 to 70 fps.
I've had both of these laptops. Kept the MSI. The Titan screen was definitely brighter. Soeakers are better on Titan, keyboard is better, cooling is better, fps(can't really compare that as i play only in 4k but I'm sure it's better. Build quality on Titan is WAY better. 4k for a plastic piece of crap like the Asus is crazy. You can get a razer for that.
I've had an MSI laptop for many years and always been happy with it. Asus screwed me over big time back in the day and I swore I'd do anything in my power to never buy anything Asus again (and succeeded at that for like 20 years now). In this case I still wanna go for the MSI, but it's unfortunate they didn't offer a lower specced 4090 version. Say with 32GB RAM like the competition offers. 128GB RAM + the 4TB storage is a major reason why this thing is so expensive, no doubt. After all, it's clear you don't need 128GB RAM. At least there's a 64GB + 2TB version, but still a lot more expensive. I don't mind the exclusion of a bunch of exterior RGB, though I'm honestly not the biggest fan of the RGB trackpad thing. If you're gonna go that route, they should've gone full circle with the exterior as well, but oh well. Though the keyboard & metal design draw me to it more, so I guess I'll learn to live with the funky trackpad. Though it's unfortunate it seems to be so loud compared to the Asus. Razor Blade is an immediate NO GO for me due to no full-size numpad.
MINECRAFT!? Can you Play it? . . . THAT is the Question...( But I really want see the comparison with the current new Blade 18 300hz & the MSI Raider 18, ..is it a Toaster Oven???
