Thank you! It’s all 3. Fabspeed headers, Novitec test pipes, and S-Line exhaust. Max sound. If you want a cleaner sound and you’re fine with dialing back the aggression a bit, try Novitec exhaust.
@@KandiMan You went all out. My thing is with Cel Light/Check Engine light on those decats and also too much volume will make my wife and neighbors haters. I just want to get some high pitch sound. Difficult shopping here. Thanks for your reply!
@@johnnyg8206 Thanks. There's no way around it; there will be neighbors who will be not be happy with the setup. Going valved is the only way to mitigate that problem. The CEL is essentially cosmetic and can be "solved" with a tune so you don't have to look at it (can also add a bit of power and dial in the pops and burbles). For me, the sound and the fun factor it brings were worth the hassle. I don't think I would've owned an 458 if the only option was the stock sound. Additionally, having heard my buddy's extreme setup years ago, I couldn't settle for anything less than the goosebump-inducing shriek and volume shown here. I tried numerous setups to get to this result.
@@goodreason6462 Good question - there was a miscommunication between me and SoCal on that. It’s definitely Fabspeed. He’s a meticulous guy, so I probably didn’t speak loud enough over the screaming exhaust 😄
@@KandiMan what are your thoughts on IPE exhaust? I wish I can hear them all in person lol. In the videos the IPE sound more high pitch, Brents (blue 458) is the loudest but the tradeoff is it sounds less quality and more “noise”. Yours sounds like a hybrid of both. They all sound good at high RPMs but at a standstill idk which one sounds better.. some of the exhaust you could still hear the muffleness of the stock 458s. Thoughts?
@@goodreason6462 I’ve had iPE and Novitec. As you probably know, Brent’s is S-Line. I bought S-Line because of Brent’s videos. IMO, the ranking is S-Line > Novitec > iPE. I never quite got the “goosebumps” feeling with iPE (i did with Novitec; excellent choice if you need valves). One difference between Brent’s and my setup is I have Novitec test pipes. You’d be surprised how much of a difference they make. I swapped in iPE test pipes to pass smog (mine had embedded mini-cats, so no CEL); the sound was incrementally less aggressive, especially on throttle-off deceleration. Novitec test pipes have this buttery resonance that’s f**king epic. It sounds like its throat’s been cleared. So awesome. Check this video for what the whole setup sounds like from a normal exterior vantage point. I’m at like 30% throttle and never go over 6000. This setup is the best, period.
