Hehe enjoy! Think it might be best to do it in summer during a dry spell or in winter if its frozen. It really was a mucky mess lol. I'll need to go back and visit west cairn hill too someday
Looks like cold for a hike my friend. But that's the fun of our adventure we go wherever and whatever the weather is. Thank you for sharing. New friend here. Left you a gift 👉🔔☺️
Nice one. Never been up there myself. I think when it’s so close to home you put these ones off. Pentlands are a good playground so close. Thanks for sharing. Leon
Scottish Mountain Goat haha for another day 😅 btw maybe you’d be able to help me...I’m thinking going through Pentlands from waterwest reservoir to the other site where east cairn hill is....do you know if is that possible? Because every map or app I look at there are paths ending in the middle of the hills not going to the other site, which doesn’t make sense to me as those hills are not that high or anything...so was wandering if maybe you’d ever walked that way? Or from around Dunsyre to east cairn hill?
@@evachjourney I've got to admit, I've not really explored round that area much. I know for sure that the Thieves Road heads North from West Linton and takes you right between East Cairn and West Cairn. From the map, it doesn't look like there's much in your way heading up from the reservoir but it might not be a pleasant walk through all the heather and there's the risk of damaging grouse nests. Sorry i couldn't be more help! Cheers. Kris.
Scottish Mountain Goat that is a great help actually thanks a lot....Maybe Thives road is worth to try....well that’s the thing I don’t want to be going somewhere where are no paths at all (as my experience is that even if not on a map sometimes they are there) and go through just Boggs and as you said destroying nests or so I wouldn’t like to do....as I come from culture where you always follow the path exactly because of these reasons hahaha
Thank you for sharing the Pentlands. Are ‘Friends of the Pentlands’ the group that re-built eroding trails with layered materials from the early days.. when most travel was by foot or cart? 🤔
Thanks for watching 😃They do a large amount of work in the area and do frequent path maintenance, though I'm not sure what materials they use. It must be an almost full time job to keep on top of all the paths with the heavy use and mother nature to contend with. Grateful for all the work they do!
Good job Sir. Keep it up. It's a real pleasure to hear true Scotsman!
Beautiful! Especially the Scottish view.
Just found your channel. This is the last hill on my Pentlands list 👍

Yeah, they almost just blend into the background. So many nice wee routes up there. Cracking place. Thanks for watching Leon! Kris.
Nice one certainly will try one day hasn’t been here yet 😁
Hehe, ill need to go back and do west cairn next door to it. I wouldn't go again until there's a dry spell though, it's very soggy! 😫
