  • Glencoe has many brilliant sights and view points, but this hike takes me up to one of the best. With panoramic views over Glencoe, Rannoch moor and surrounding mountains, including Ben Nevis, It definitely ticks all the boxes.
This video follows a route up Beinn a'Chrulaiste known as the pink rib, a grade one scramble with beautiful views down Glencoe and over to mighty Buachaille Etive Mor.

Winter in the mountains can be deadly. Ensure you are aware of the dangers and properly equipped before tackling any mountain with the potential for snow and ice to be present.

James i took the same route on the 21st of April and will agree that the views are stunning.
I went up a year earlier in damp misty weather and those rocks were a different experience for sure.😮

Great video, bud!! I will be in Scotland in two weeks and may try to hike this (and the Hidden Valley hike). One question. On the hike back down, I see that you did not go down the same way you came up, as per the 0:40 mark. I don't see this hike on my Alltrails app. Although you ended up leaving from the west face of the mountain, you had intended to leave from the east. Is the east departure route easy to follow? I may just leave the same way you did. Thank you in advance. Cheers.

Hi Christian, sounds like an exciting trip! There's a link to the route on OSMaps in the video description. You can download the GPX file of the route there as well and import into AllTrails if you need it. You can head either east or west down the mountain, though heading west is the more direct route back to the car if you park at the start location in the video description. There isn't a well defined path in either direction, but the western route I think is the easier one to follow. Hope that helps!
