When I was a boy 57 years ago I stumbled upon an untouched site it looked like they just walked out the day before. There were so many artifacts I had to strip out of my overalls and tied the legs up. And filled them to the top I lost a few along the way back to the cabin every time I hit a patch of stinging nettles. I'm in my 70s now and that is one of my fondest Boyhood memories. Except for the stinging nettles. Thanks for taking me along
Wow.. I enjoyed hearing this memory of yours immensely! The thought of stumbling upon something like that gives me the chills. The thought of the stinging nettles gives me the chills too! I bet your legs were so itchy and tore up after that. Did you manage to hang on to all those artifacts after all these years? Where did you grow up? Thanks for checking out the finds and for taking the time to share your story!
@Points365 I have a hematite tomahawk a few parts some hoes plummets and a few points I had them stored at my father's house When I went into the Navy, my adopted brother got into them and passed them out to all his grade school buddies. I grew up in Mineola, Missouri. It's about 8 Mi south of Graham Cave in the loutre River valley.
@patrickbush9526 I’m glad you managed to still have at least some of that for your collection. That’s painful to hear about your brother though! I bet you made him pay a hefty price for that. Haha I know I would’ve had to contain myself if that had happened to me.
@Points365 no he was only about seven or eight years old back then. He lives in Hawaii now I'm still has some pieces I hunted the cornfields Every Spring when I was a kid I've been meaning to get back there for years and dig a couple spots but I'm an old man and I have COPD I really enjoy watching the videos I can't get out much anymore.
I guess the innocence of his youth is excusable. Haha I can just see it now, him being like.. “I brought these things my brother calls clovis’ for show and tell. I brought a box of them so everyone take one as a keepsake and pass it…” haha I bet you have thought of going back there. Many times! Sounds like it was a place to behold.
This was just awesome! So many great artifacts. I had this same experience a few years ago when a farmer let me on to his private field to hunt for artifacts. Most of his finds were from the seat of his tractor. He told me to go down there as the field had been plowed and rained on a couple of times. I found around 84 good pieces and about twice that many broken pieces. I have them all in a case. It was a day I will never forget. I have been looking there since that time and have found hundreds more artifacts.
That’s incredible! It makes you wonder how long it took for that many artifacts to accumulate in one spot. It’s always amazed me that someone with access to something like that would just pass it up. It’s good for people like you and I though! Haha
Haha man that took a looong time for me to master! I do it mainly because when I go back and watch finds from years past when, I always hated hearing myself in the background. I enjoy viewing my own videos not hearing myself, so that’s the reasoning behind that! Thanks for checking them out!
I agree man.. I’ve dreamt of that field ever since I had the pleasure of hunting it! I’ve never understood someone not being interested in something like that when you have it right there at your feet. Better off for people like us I reckon! Haha thanks as always buddy!
Oh man, I was mega stoked! There’s no telling what else lies just beneath the surface… and possibly even deeper! I like finding those pieces that were well used and worn down to a nub like a couple of those little turkey tails were. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Wow! A day and field like we dream of! From the ones you showed it looked like most of the breaks and damage was ancient damage. Really enjoy your videos!! I'd be out there every day.
Man I still dream of that field! Haha If they were ancient breaks they were getting snappy with their stuff back in the day! I always wondered if they just chucked a piece if the tip broke off or what? You’d think they’d repurpose everything they could. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
One of the best videos have watched in years. No fancy dancy, just pure artifact loving. Always enjoy how each person brings their own style to what they are passionate about. Hope you get many more fantastic adventures like this. Best Wishes
Thanks man, I really appreciate the compliment! There are plenty of good videos out there and just having you take the time to check mine out again is compliment enough!
Thanks as always buddy! With the price of quality cases these days, I have to hold back on what’s makes it into the case these days! Haha It’s always a pleasure to share and appreciate you taking the time to check them out!
Thanks! But oh man I know.. there was so little of it poking out, I definitely wasn’t expecting that to come out! As always, I was expecting whatever it was to be broke too… I have conditioned myself to assume everything is broken so I don’t get let down! Haha Thanks again buddy!
Indeed it was and still is a dream of mine! Haha There have been quite a few people commenting with stories of their own of walking upon fields loaded back in the day. It’s been really interesting hearing these stories from old timers!
Looks like Spring starting your way, expecting ice and snow here tomorrow. Love the sound of those Peepers. That field must be like some that old timers talk about being artifacts everywhere. That last piece looks like the Sedalia Diggers around here. Great discovery, there is many happy hunting in that field in the future👍🏻
It feels great to have spring slowly creeping back, and the sound of spring just makes you feel that much better! Getting the chance to walk that field was definitely something I’ll never forget. I truly believe it when I hear them speak of the days when they would walk with buckets picking them up. I could have probably easily half filled a 5 gallon bucket that day had I picked up every single thing I came across. I had to make a pile of stuff after each pass and collect it as I left. I definitely had to cinch my belt up a notch or 2 to keep ‘em up on the walk out! Haha It most definitely looks like a Sedalia digger. Sedalias aren’t common here, but it’s not impossible I reckon! Thanks as always buddy!
So many blessings and happy to see them being rescued from the plow blades. Thank you for sharing and hope you are finding them to save and not sell. Blessings, Teresa 🦉
I appreciate that! I’m a proud collector of artifacts I’ve personally found and still have in my collection every piece I e ever found. I’m proud to display, share, and ultimately hang on to the finds i’ve made throughout my life. People that hunt them to sell them…. Let’s just say it irks me! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment Teresa.
Definitely a “Field of Dreams” so to speak. Possibilities are endless there I’ll bet. Lots of great points and tools. That final pull was incredible! Thanks as always for sharing. Best of luck!
Haha man I was elated to get the chance to hunt that field! I can’t wait to go back, but definitely don’t want to wear out my welcome there. I feel like it might get a little annoying asking if I can go back after every rain! Haha thanks as always buddy!
I appreciate that. I find that going back and viewing my past finds is much more enjoyable not hearing myself in the background as well. The videos will keep coming as long as the finds keep coming! I appreciate your time and input and hope you come back to check out the new round of finds in a couple weeks!
Whew man, I bet you could relate! I don’t have the pleasure of hunting as many fields as much as I’d like or once did. Hope you’ve been good buddy and good luck out there on your upcoming hunts!
Man I wish I had the knowledge to just name off stuff I find right off the top of my head! If I tried I’d for sure get corrected left and right! I quit with the narration and whatnot years ago though… I found that I enjoy my own videos much more when I don’t have to hear myself yapping the background!😂 Thanks for taking the time to check out the finds man and take care.
Awesome field ! When I was young we plowed our creek bottoms with mules , we had one field everyone waited for a rain to hunt ! For years it produced some nice finds!! Awesome video ! Brought back memories!
Man oh man… I enjoy hearing stories like that! I live on my old family farm now. Been in the fam since the 1880’s. I find a number of mule shoes in the creek and washout ditches around there. I’ve wondered many times what would be found in that hollow with the creek running through it if it were to be plowed. Last time it was farmed was the early 80’s, so the small to medium size trees are aplenty. I can only imagine the excitement y’all had after every rain y’all got out there growing up! Thanks for sharing the story!
It’s aight! Just when I start thinking it’s a decent collection, I go to an artifact show to check out the spreads some of these people have… wow! Haha Oh well… it gives me something to work toward!
Some good ones some broken ones and some thoroughly worn out ones but all are interesting. Thanks for sharing them with us. Never let these artifacts be lost to history
Haha broken and worn out was for sure the name of the game that day! I really enjoy finding a whole, but resharpened down to a nub point. Wondering if that was their lucky dart point or what?! Haha I appreciate it though man, and plan on keeping the artifacts for my lifetime… from there I can only hope they remain in a place of significance and shared. Not lost in a dusty box somewhere.
Thanks buddy! Hopefully I’ll get the chance to hunt that place annually, we’ll see though. There’s no telling what else lies just beneath the surface.. that’s the kind of stuff that keeps me up at night! Haha thanks again and as always man!
I absolutely loved this video, only been a field of dreams like that one time , and some kids killed my permission with four wheelers , I’ve been hunting for 50 plus years ! Your extremely lucky to get a pass ! Beautiful points and tools man , want to watch it again now ! Congratulations! Keep it going brother! Thanks for sharing with us .
Thanks as always buddy! It was definitely the most productive field I’ve been in. I’m trying not to wear out my welcome by asking to hunt there after every couple rains. Haha I bet you could’ve strangled those little sob’s for killing it for you in that field you had permission to hunt in. That kills me for you! I agree that I’m lucky though! I’m hoping I get the opportunity to get back real soon. Thanks as always for the time spent chiming in with your personal stories. I enjoy hearing them!
Thanks man! That’s awesome you recovering one recently yourself too though! They aren’t really abundant around here either… or that I’ve come across at least. But thank to you buddy for always coming back to check out the finds!
Thanks man! It was for sure a memorable day, and memorable field. Hopefully I’ll get the chance to get back as soon as possible. I’m gonna try to not wear out my welcome! Haha thanks as always buddy!
Thanks so much! It seems like the bigger pieces are usually found near or where camps / villages were located. A lot of the pieces found were tools for daily use like blade, scrapers, and whatnot. I appreciate the time spent watching and commenting!
It was no doubt a camp over a long period of time with the amount of artifacts, and variety in ages. It’s interesting how they would use the same spot for 1000’s of years. I guess when they had a good clearing in an ideal spot, why not keep coming back to it?! I appreciate you checking it out!
Thanks man, I really appreciate that. The amount of artifacts definitely don’t come easy as I’m sure you already know! I just can’t stand the thought of them be destroyed or lost for good. Too much of our history has been buried under concrete, no doubt never to be seen again. I appreciate your interest and for taking the time to watch and comment buddy!
Thanks buddy! You know I’d love to get out there every possible chance, but I’m gonna try not to wear out my welcome there by showing up after every drop of rain falls on it! Haha But thank to your man for coming back!
You were a lucky man to be the first person to walk that field. Places like that are few and far between. In my area it is getting harder and harder to find a place to hunt them because it seems like most of the fields around here were worked by the older generation and now that they have retired and passed away the next generation just don't want to work the land and sell everything off for building houses and such, keep up the hunt my friend and keep bringing us the videos of your finds
I agree with you completely. If it’s not no till that’s killing the field hunting, it’s the ever growing footprint of expansion that’s permanently burying the past. It’s happening at an alarming pace. Around here in middle TN for sure. It’s sad to think of all that’s lost for good with each house and parking lot that’s built. It’s strange how few people care that it happens as well. All we can do is do our part to preserve what we can before the inevitable happens, and that part of history on that particular spot of land is forever erased. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
Maybe a once in a lifetime. Reminds me of a field me and my dad went into in the early 70s we had 40 full points so probably double that with brokes. It wasn’t virgin but hadn’t been hunted much fir years. That one field doubled our collection over the next 10 years. Guessing may 500 outta there! Thanks for the memories
Wow, now THAT is the type of field that one dreams about! I’m glad it wound up being a such a productive place for you for all those years. Thanks for sharing your story! It’s my favorite part of sharing these videos, hearing the stories and memories it triggers with people!
I agree… it takes a long time to lose that much stuff! There’s no telling how much stuff is just beneath the surface, and even deeper! Thank as always buddy!
Heckuva day for a field hunt! Around here all they do is run a disk over them anymore; anything you find seems to be busted. You got some good ones in that bunch!
Amen to that! A disc every now and then is all they mostly do around here as well. No till has taken ahold of most places. Fortunately tobacco is a big crop for TN, which requires plowing! As you mentioned though.. the broken ones come along with hunting fields. I was pleased to find some whole ones though! Thanks as always buddy!
Nah, but baseballs kept falling out of thin air for some reason? 🤣 That was too funny… it took me a second to catch on to the “field of dreams” reference! Thanks though buddy, I try to keep the good stuff coming. It’s getting harder and harder to keep up with the bar I’ve set for myself though!
Wow now that was an awesome hunt, that looks like a huge field with plenty of points, with that many points on the surface ,i think a probe might work well there, congrats and i know you'll fibd more there in the future
It was most definitely a hunt I’ll never forget! The area was about 5 acres… seems a lot bigger when you’re walking the whole thing row by row though! Haha There were a lot of rocks in that field. I feel like a probe would be getting me too excited over rocks too often! But there’s definitely more to be found there though! I appreciate ya though man and thanks for the input!
Yeah it was def a ton of that type of stuff. Clearly a place where a lot of work was done! That’s the type of stuff that takes up a lot of real estate in the display cabinets! Haha thanks as always buddy!
Thanks man! It’s crazy to think about people living so far away (TN - NY) back then, yet still having such similar projectile styles… all the way down to the flaking at times! Thanks for checking out the finds and good luck on your future hunts buddy!
Dang hope you had a lot of empty pockets to haul those beauties back. I am curious though how far away was the water source. Great finds. Be safe and keep saving history.
Haha man it was so funny! I started out filling up my coat pocket. Then pockets on my flannel. Then all the pockets on my pants. It got so cumbersome I just made a pile and picked them up wrapped up in my jacket for the walk back! There was a good size creek at the bottom of the hill. The field was on top of a hill with about a 4-500 yard walk down a steep hill to the creek. When I saw that place, I just KNEW it had to be loaded! Thanks as always buddy!
Thanks buddy! It’s all green there now. Hoping I’ll get the invite out there next time they decide to turn it over! A follow up video will soon follow if so!
Wow😮 You are so blessed!! To have a field of dreams. That is what all us Rockers dream about. Awesome finds all of them. Can't wait to see what other treasures you find there. Happy hunting.
Thanks and agreed! I feel so lucky and blessed with all of my finds. I’m waiting for my luck to run dry one of these day… but I’m the mean time I’m gonna ride this wave as long as I can!😂 I appreciate you as always for checking out the finds!
Haha ahhh it’s all luck! Luck and a butt load of time spent hunting! It eventually pays off. Thanks though buddy.. I appreciate the time spent watching and commenting as always!
Man I sure hope so! I haven’t been back yet, but hopefully another trip can be lined up. I’ll definitely give a follow up report if I get back out there! Thanks as always buddy!
I agree… I still can’t get over it really. There’s no telling how much is still there just below the surface! The last one I’m not really sure what it is? Maybe axe.. maybe a spade? A lot of the spades I find have the cortex on the back end of them like this piece does, but I imagine they were probably made similarly.
Nice to see a fellow 10aceer picking up points and not doing hand stands barrel rolls and running around in circles screaming like a little girl each time you find one.. !! Nice finds!
Thanks again and as always man. I appreciate you always taking the time to watch and comment on them. Good thing I recognized your picture, you changed your name on here!
Nothing like kicking off the boots after a long day and watching someone else pull artifacts… works me up every time and has me wanting to put the boots back on to get out and hunt with the 15 minutes of daylight left in the day!😂
Based off of the points found I would give a general estimate of roughly 4,000 years old. Some pieces newer for sure. The depth at which the soil was turned over was probably the limiting factor as far as age goes. I bet if the plow was able to go a foot deeper, paleo (roughly 12,000 years old) would be showing up. Being on a high ridge overlooking a river, it was likely a frequented spot for many thousands of years!
Awesome finds. I have property with alot of effigy rocks and mounds. The amount of dirt the indians moved and crops they planted make me think a arrowhead was for cutting through roots to dig and possibly plant seeds. Hunting was only done when needed and theres way too many arrowheads to have only been used to hunt. Most are in the corn fields. All towns by water have mounds and earthworks with the historic houses built on them. The old concrete steps going up to the house will be built into the bank by the sidewalk. The backstreets always have them but no one pays attention
It would be nice to see the complete days finds clean and gathered. With such a large random sampling it would be fun to get percentages of different things. Type, size, material, workmanship, use, wear etc.
Yeah in hindsight I should’ve tried harder to get that done. I tried laying them all out on the tailgate, but there wasn’t enough room. I still have most of the broken stuff in a bucket. It’s so much to go through, I haven’t even had time to go through it all and clean em up.
Oh man, isn’t it such a great sound?! It reminds you that spring is right around the corner. They just started croaking for the first time last wknd. Bring on the 70° weather now!
Do you know anything about the point you picked up at about 10:20 in this video? I have a point that I picked up on my land in Williamson County years ago and it has a very similar shape. Thanks.
Sorry for the belated response, but of course! That piece is a turkey tail with an estimated date range between 2,500 - 4,000 years old. They are found throughout all of middle TN, including Williamson Co. obviously! They are typically longer than the one found in this video, but over time being resharpened repeatedly, they get shorter like this one. The base shape is the main identifier for these pieces and they got their name from resembling a turkeys tail after being plucked. Williamson Co. has some really nice pieces that have been found there. If you found one, there’s surely more of something to be found there!
@@Points365thank you! NP re the response time. I really appreciate you 10:29 taking the time. I’m trying to get enough content together to start a channel, Finding Stuff with Grandpa. I like to take my grandchildren metal detecting and artifact hunting. Unfortunately, I sold the land where I found that point, but our son and his four daughters live on the same stream, about 3 miles downstream and past the Indian Mound. So far we have only found the base of a point close to his house.
Whew, man… when I first went to go pull on it, I had no idea it was going to be that size, or whole! You know how it goes… I pretty much expect 95% of all my pulls to be broken. It’s a total surprise if not!
Agreed! I really can’t get over what all was found there that day, and the potential for what could be laying just beneath the surface. I appreciate you checking it out!
It looks just like a marble, but that was actually one of those little wild tomatoes that ripen yellow. There were quite a few of them up in that field. Good eye though!
Second time around on this video lots of cool tools but I must ask after seeing your river finds is finding all those points with the obvious discernible damage from discing I'm assuming here just a little bit of a bummer?
Crazy!! You already have the best places on the river to hunt now you have the best fields in America to hunt!!! Again you need to play the power ball bro!!!! Awesome saves!!!! How many trips did you have to make to the truck with all that rock?? lol. The graver was my favorite.. Seriously you should make a golf ball washer of sorts if you go back just for efficiency purposes so cleaning those rocks up doesn’t slow you down.. That would be pretty slick actually..
Haha man you only get to see the good luck I have! You oughta see all the bad luck I have, cuz I sure get my fair share of it! It definitely took 1 trip to carry everything back, I had most of it wrapped up in my jacket like a big pouch, and the remaining in every pocket I had. I definitely had to cinch my belt up a couple notches to keep my pants up! Haha I’m digging the ball washer idea though man!! Creativity in action right there.
Thanks man! But yeah, the bad is still good in my book though! I’m hoping to get back out there, but I don’t want to wear out my welcome. Agreed on it being plowed too. Long gone are the days of them all being plowed.
I didn't see anyone commenting but that point at 13:47 is an intentional complete point. I'm going on 70 year old memory but I have several of these points in my collection. I think they are called bifurcated points (not sure about name). They would take their striking stone and hit the top of the point trying to create this form. When done properly a razor sharp edge is created and thus used as a smooth edge extra sharp tool. Sure miss the days back when I was in my 20s and 30s. ALLLL DAY LONG!!!! I could go sun up to sun down. Now???? I'm out of breath by the time I get to the truck. HA!!!!
That’s really interesting about that piece you’re talking about. You could tell it was an intentional notch taken out. That or resharpened after a ding. I wasn’t really sure. But I hear ya man… I’m still a whopper snapper in my 40’s, but I can def tell the sun up to sundown days take a little more gas in the tank than they used to! I bet you amassed quite the collection over all those years.
Yeah I’ve heard some horror stories about how they do things down there. There is someone that recently commented on this video from FL.. she was really busting my chops telling me I need to leave artifacts alone and that it’s illegal. 😂 I guess she doesn’t know how relaxed TN is on the issue?! I appreciate you taking the time to check out the finds buddy.
Do you ever invite people to hunt with you? I'm from northeast Alabama and I would love to hunt with you. Would gladly show you some of the sites I hunt here as well
I have someone with me standing over my shoulder basically every time I hunt! Haha When I meet people at artifact shows, they are almost always in disbelief that “Points 365” is basically a duo! All my buddies are lined up to hunt with me when the other member of the duo sits one out.. But she hates to get left behind, so that rarely happens! I really do appreciate the offer and taking you up on that isn’t off the table. NE AL is only a couple hours from me, and going that far for artifacts is no big deal!
I went and grabbed that piece to get a better look at it. I’m not really the best at identifying material but I do have quite a few hornstone pieces. The drill has similar color, but a different look to it. It could just be made out of the material closer to the cortex though? I looked up harrodsberg and would have to say that looks more likely.
Song: Terrier waltz Artists: Nat Keefe with the Bow Ties. They put their music out for free for anyone to download and use. Quality music if you ask me. Nat Keefe with the Bow Ties is their channel name.
Haha there were SO many plow broken pieces there.. 80 something that I found that day. I never would have imagined that the big piece would have been the one to survive.
@@jenkins2162 Although I do save all of my broken pieces, I’ve never had the pleasure of reconnecting 2 broken pieces that have been separated for no telling how long. That has to be an amazing realization that you have the missing piece to a broken artifact!
Oh, that last comment I thought was about the last one! Hah sorry, yes, that one was broke for sure… looked like an axe as well. The last one in the video was what I think is a spade, possibly an axe. Thanks again!
The one at the end I “think” was used as a spade… maybe an axe. But a lot of the spades / axes like that I find aren’t broken, but still have the cortex on the back end. I probably have 16 or so of them like that and one thing they all have in common is the cortex on the back side. I about fell out when that thing came out myself! Haha Thanks as always!
It’s bluegrass. The beginning song on this video was “terrier waltz” by Nat Keefe & the bow ties. The song on my latest video was “St. Anne’s reel” played but not written by “Nat Keefe & hot buttered rum”. They provide their music for free online to be used and shared free of charge. I think from now on I should start putting credit at the end of my videos. Thanks for giving me the idea!

A real "Field of Dreams." It's been many years since I've seen a virgin field. Incredible! ♥

Love the sound of the crickets and the birds 😊. Nice pulls too!
Agreed! The nature sounds is much more peaceful and enjoyable than hearing me! Appreciate the time you spent watching and commenting!
Congrats! Another case full! Great looking pieces! Thanks for sharing with us. Always looking forward for the next one.

Envy. That axe pull gave me a visceral hit. wow
Thanks man! Watching that thing come out seems to surprise me every time I watch it! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment.
Not an axe. That would be a hoe.

Thanks! But oh man I know.. there was so little of it poking out, I definitely wasn’t expecting that to come out! As always, I was expecting whatever it was to be broke too… I have conditioned myself to assume everything is broken so I don’t get let down! Haha Thanks again buddy!
@@Points365 appreciate you brother
Every artifact hunters dream hunting an untouched field. Well done!👍🏹
Haha
It most definitely looks like a Sedalia digger. Sedalias aren’t common here, but it’s not impossible I reckon! Thanks as always buddy!
@@Points365 👍🏻
So many blessings and happy to see them being rescued from the plow blades. Thank you for sharing and hope you are finding them to save and not sell.
Blessings,
Teresa 🦉
You I love your respect to not call out when find a piece. Please keep posting.
I appreciate that. I find that going back and viewing my past finds is much more enjoyable not hearing myself in the background as well. The videos will keep coming as long as the finds keep coming! I appreciate your time and input and hope you come back to check out the new round of finds in a couple weeks!
I can relate to this video. Looks like you found a woodland camp site. Awesome day!!
Whew man, I bet you could relate! I don’t have the pleasure of hunting as many fields as much as I’d like or once did. Hope you’ve been good buddy and good luck out there on your upcoming hunts!
Lots of beautiful blades. The arrowheads were nice too.
I appreciate it, and thank you for taking the time to check it out!
I'd love to have heard some narration as to what you found, what a great day! Thanks for sharing
Your welcome! I really enjoy your videos!
You must have one hell of a collection.
Amazing finds some big stuff there
Thanks man, I appreciate you taking the time to check em out!
Dang man that was awesome! Very cool finds and site. That will be a hot spot for a long time. Good luck on the next one!
Haha
I bet you could’ve strangled those little sob’s for killing it for you in that field you had permission to hunt in. That kills me for you!
I agree that I’m lucky though! I’m hoping I get the opportunity to get back real soon. Thanks as always for the time spent chiming in with your personal stories. I enjoy hearing them!
Awesome video man. Loved the Hebron Turkey tail, especially as I found one myself last Sunday. A bit of a rare find up here. Thanks again. Cheers.
Thanks man! That’s awesome you recovering one recently yourself too though! They aren’t really abundant around here either… or that I’ve come across at least. But thank to you buddy for always coming back to check out the finds!
My goodness, man !!!! What a field, and some awesome length 💥!!!!
Amazing hunt, and show, brother 😎👊🎰!!!!!!✌️🍀
Thanks bud! It was definitely a field and a hunt that I’ll never forget. I appreciate you coming back to check out the new round of finds man!
Holy smokes brother, best field hunt I may have ever seen. Congrats, I'd go back there as much as I could.
Thanks man! It was for sure a memorable day, and memorable field. Hopefully I’ll get the chance to get back as soon as possible. I’m gonna try to not wear out my welcome! Haha thanks as always buddy!
Artifact heaven. Great job R. Star 🌟
Thanks man! It was indeed the type of place I often find myself dreaming of… still! I should volunteer to go out and plow it for them every year! Haha
Stunning finds. Those are some big pieces. Wow..congrats on a great day. 😊 Warm wishes
Thanks so much! It seems like the bigger pieces are usually found near or where camps / villages were located. A lot of the pieces found were tools for daily use like blade, scrapers, and whatnot. I appreciate the time spent watching and commenting!
That’s a lot of pickings, must’ve been a huge tribe hunting there, everything from bird tips to big game, you got the eye spotting them.nice finds.
It was no doubt a camp over a long period of time with the amount of artifacts, and variety in ages. It’s interesting how they would use the same spot for 1000’s of years. I guess when they had a good clearing in an ideal spot, why not keep coming back to it?! I appreciate you checking it out!
I believe you find more points than anyone I follow….you are an amazing artifact hunter…keep vids coming!
Second time ive watched this....Awesome video.....Thanks .
Thanks buddy!
Just awesome man, id be there after every rain. Thanks for sharing
Dang! That's just awesome !!! Id still be doing the happy dance 😊
Man you have no idea! When the cam is off, it’s on if ya know what I mean! Haha
Wherever your at there must have been a huge population of natives for a very long time
I agree… it takes a long time to lose that much stuff!
You bump into Kevin Costner & Shoeless Joe out there in that field? My goodness.
Points365 never disappoints.
Great video, as always. Cheers from garage drinking night in Canada.
Yeahhh man! Glad you enjoyed and appreciate you as always!
Fantastic day!!! I've only had a few like that myself! Congratulations
Cool stuff. Interesting the number of preforms or tool items.
Yeah it was def a ton of that type of stuff. Clearly a place where a lot of work was done! That’s the type of stuff that takes up a lot of real estate in the display cabinets! Haha thanks as always buddy!
Really nice finds. Very similar to what i find in upstate ny. And a variety of points through many periods of the past, some very ancient, if not all
That field is exceptional. Congrats
Thanks buddy! It’s all green there now. Hoping I’ll get the invite out there next time they decide to turn it over! A follow up video will soon follow if so!
@@Points365yes I would be all over it if it turns
Wow😮 You are so blessed!! To have a field of dreams. That is what all us Rockers dream about. Awesome finds all of them. Can't wait to see what other treasures you find there. Happy hunting.
Thanks and agreed! I feel so lucky and blessed with all of my finds. I’m waiting for my luck to run dry one of these day… but I’m the mean time I’m gonna ride this wave as long as I can!😂 I appreciate you as always for checking out the finds!
So much there. Well done mate 👍
Thanks buddy! Hopefully more to come from there over time! Thanks as always man.
Im more tempted to move to TN with each upload 😂 killer finds sir!
Haha ahhh it’s all luck! Luck and a butt load of time spent hunting! It eventually pays off. Thanks though buddy.. I appreciate the time spent watching and commenting as always!
👍 Aaaawwww man, what a score, a perpetual honey hole.
Man I sure hope so! I haven’t been back yet, but hopefully another trip can be lined up. I’ll definitely give a follow up report if I get back out there! Thanks as always buddy!
Thanks for sharing your adventures, NC USA
I’m glad to share! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
I would love to see a follow up video on all the finds you found cleaned up!
It’s incredible to find so many artifacts in one field , the big one must have been a battle axe
Your video came up again, had to watch it again 😊
Awesome finds my friend keep up the good hunts
Nice to see a fellow 10aceer picking up points and not doing hand stands barrel rolls and running around in circles screaming like a little girl each time you find one.. !! Nice finds!
Haha well, I figured the squeals and handstands would probably make the video a little shaky! I appreciate it though man!
Truly love your videos ✝️✝️✝️
Thanks again and as always man. I appreciate you always taking the time to watch and comment on them. Good thing I recognized your picture, you changed your name on here!
Nothing like Tennessee arrowheads and that sticky limestone mud!
Haha you’ve got that right… like peanut butter! It’ll latch on to your boot and won’t let go too!
Gonna have to watch this one after work 😁
Nothing like kicking off the boots after a long day and watching someone else pull artifacts… works me up every time and has me wanting to put the boots back on to get out and hunt with the 15 minutes of daylight left in the day!😂
Man that field was loaded, what a great day.
Thanks buddy! It was for sure the type of place I never thought I’d get the chance to hunt! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
Awesome finds
Thanks so much! I appreciate you taking the time to check out the finds and for leaving a comment!
How old would you say they are?
I cannot believe that peepers are calling in your area. I bet we hear them next week here.
That is one beautiful Flint silt ✝️✝️✝️💗
Whew, man… when I first went to go pull on it, I had no idea it was going to be that size, or whole! You know how it goes… I pretty much expect 95% of all my pulls to be broken. It’s a total surprise if not!
Mind-blowing!
Agreed! I really can’t get over what all was found there that day, and the potential for what could be laying just beneath the surface. I appreciate you checking it out!
Why didn't you also pick up that yellow marble at 5:25?
Haha
I’m digging the ball washer idea though man!! Creativity in action right there.
I hope you go again and take me! I'll bring the beer and stuff. It'll be great
Haha man sounds like a good time! Just imagine… points 365 finally makes his debut narrating his video… with slurred speech!🤣
Good finds. Gotta take the good with the bad. You can make many trips to this field and not find it all. At least it is being plowed.
Thanks man! But yeah, the bad is still good in my book though! I’m hoping to get back out there, but I don’t want to wear out my welcome. Agreed on it being plowed too. Long gone are the days of them all being plowed.
Love that blue Adena pointe ✝️✝️✝️
Killer field !!! Will produce so many more !!!
²thanks for sharing. Im from florida and the laws here are stupid and overwhelming when it comes to collecting artifacts.
What is the material of that pencil drill? Is it local? It appears to be a mix of Harrodsberg and Hornstone. Their rannges overlap, but only slightly.
That awl!!!😍
Thanks man! It’s a wonder it wasn’t broken.. I’m still thanking my lucky stars it wasn’t!
What band is that at the beginning? Like it.
Song: Terrier waltz
Artists: Nat Keefe with the Bow Ties.
They put their music out for free for anyone to download and use. Quality music if you ask me. Nat Keefe with the Bow Ties is their channel name.
Wow. Just wow.
Thanks! I appreciate you watching and commenting!
I wonder if the blade forgives the plow
Haha there were SO many plow broken pieces there.. 80 something that I found that day. I never would have imagined that the big piece would have been the one to survive.
@Points365 when I search an area I always keep the broke points in a labeled bag. It will surprise you how many you can re-piece over the year's.
@@jenkins2162 Although I do save all of my broken pieces, I’ve never had the pleasure of reconnecting 2 broken pieces that have been separated for no telling how long. That has to be an amazing realization that you have the missing piece to a broken artifact!
@Points365 yeah it is pretty cool. About once a year I line up tips and bottoms in rows and slowly try to see if there are any new matches.
Love It 👍
Thanks so much and I appreciate you checking it out!
Read some comments.
Last BIG ONE.
With hole piece wnd missing.
Was that ax pull?
What is that?
Oh, that last comment I thought was about the last one! Hah sorry, yes, that one was broke for sure… looked like an axe as well. The last one in the video was what I think is a spade, possibly an axe. Thanks again!
You're gonna find 80 more when it rains. I bet that was fun.
Man oh man I sure hope so! I’m going to try and not wear out my welcome there. Haha It was a blast no doubt! Thanks for checking it out buddy!
Well done well done
Thanks buddy, I appreciate you checking out the finds!
You are B A C K ! 😀👍 👏
Back in the saddle now that the busy time of year is behind me!😅
Right off the bat a beautiful pencil drill ✝️✝️✝️
A whole drill is always a bonus!!
Which 3rd of our great state are you in?
I thought I left a reply, but it’s just not showing on my end… But smack dab in the middle!
The last BIG ONE had a broken end, with a HOLE in it.
What was it for😊
Obviously broke, hunting or fighting.
😊 fell to the ground.......
Haha
Thanks as always!
Alot of square stem base points!
Heck yeah man! Maybe I can get them to plow deeper so I can find more fluted stuff! Haha
Man that's awesome. I'm in chattboogie/ Ringgold area and would love to go hit a spot or two. I have a couple little holes that produce. Hmu
East, middle or west?
Sorry for the slow response! Western middle.
And probably on every one of your videos!
Thanks again buddy!
What is the background music you play on your site? Is it bluegrass or something else? Could you tell me the name of just one of songs?
It’s bluegrass. The beginning song on this video was “terrier waltz” by Nat Keefe & the bow ties. The song on my latest video was “St. Anne’s reel” played but not written by “Nat Keefe & hot buttered rum”. They provide their music for free online to be used and shared free of charge. I think from now on I should start putting credit at the end of my videos. Thanks for giving me the idea!
Wow 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Thanks so much for your time!
