      Sometimes all you can say is, Holy shit! Even on Sunday in church. I think it would honor the makers if you could fashion a heavy spear from the largest blade, kill a bear with your bare hands, and grill it on the town square sharing the food, 1st come/1st serve, with your neighbors. Good luck!

      @@shawfestifybare handed kill a bear a bear. Oh no that won't do. A Bear a mountain lion a cougar. And a bull elk in season. Then have the feast so great ones in the sky will savor the victory. I'll wait.😮

    Love this video!! I am from missouri and live on the trail of tears. I am a descendant from the cherokees who settled here during the trail of tears and I also find various Indian rocks, tools, utensils, etc. I live by the Cherokee way. And I wanted to make sure to tell you that big second piece you found... that perfect spear head.... that my friend, was used in ceremony's only. It's completely ceremonial. Each tribe had a select few for ceremony's only anc they were always the very very best they could possibly make. I don't believe I hunt the rocks, I believe they find me. These found you and you are more than just lucky. You are blessed and there's a reason they came to you.

    • @PtownRockhound
      @PtownRockhound  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The second piece is a blade. Fairly common type of blade that was used for thousands of years. Every time period had blade/knife stone tools. I have found several that are typically the same in thickness and length. Cobb blade second are probably my favorite type of blades. Stanfields are pretty nice too. Thanks for sharing your story and hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

      The story behind these tools draw lots of emotion from most everyone with a imagination. The person who created the tools used them to survive. They were highly valuable possessions that. Somehow, they ended up in the ground where they have been hidden for thousands years. Definitely, not by choice, but probably as the result of a tragedy. They are a symbol of human evolution; survival, hardship, curiosity, exploration, and innovation. When these tools fell into the Missouri soil for the last time, a secret was buried. Now we have uncovered the tools and share the same emotions of the original owner.

I ain't gonna lie bro... I got choked up and teary eyed right along with you. Folks that don't seriously hunt for artifscts, but and have the passion we do, just won't... Can't understand. I lost my best friend and artifsct hunting partner in Michelle Cassidy this year from a Covid related issue, and i haven't been able to go back hunting due to a broken heart.. From the loss of my best friend. But this video just inspired me. I'm packing my gear as I'm writing this, and mapping out a few spots in my beloved Suwannee county. It won't be the same with out my buddy, but I bu thank you for the inspiration, and wish me luck. God bless.

      You have an email or txt or way I can send you a couple pics?it's a mouthful...years back I found a Mississippian green stone spatulate rat tail celt.its 16 inches long..museum quality perfection.perfectly symmetrical baby skin smooth.theres a display made at the huge Indian mound complex in Macon georgia.it depicts the earthen ceremonial lodge .on top of a huge mound excavated by archeologist.it had a circle with carved out seartings of all the chiefs from the different tribes at the time.they would sit according to heirarchy .in the middle sat the head chief.hes holding a wooden handles object with a hole at the end.inserted into it 90 degrees is the exact object I found.they excavated iit in the 1800s I think, in the grave of the chief.he is holding it across his chest.the one I have is bigger and of much better quality.i found it laying on a logging road .laying in the sun.for 4 years ..when I picked it up I felt an energy flow through my body.you reminded me of that feeling.if you touch it.you can't stop grinning from ear to ear.and great luck and happiness will flood your life for many weeks till the majic starts to fade.but just another touch and it starts all over again.

      Considering I had just found 2 in that same spot just a few weeks prior lead me to believe anything I hit was going to be an artifact. Plus this bank is completely dirt and mud. So any sound from my probe immediately let me know it was something. And chert makes a distinct sound against metal.

    Congratulations on such a spectacular discovery. It seems to me that each piece would have taken considerable time for completion, and accordingly, each would have been quite valuable to the owner. That begs the question---why on earth would such valuable tools have been abandoned? I think there's some kind of extremely interesting background which is, alas, lost to history.
