Cummins may offer a remote oil filter kit so that you can relocate the filter to a more accessible location. It would definitely be worth looking into.
Hey my favorite crew. I hadn't seen much of you all lately. I've watched everything that was posted. N I'm just waiting for new show. Ok. I luv watching y'all. Bama Queen,Victoria Byrd.
@@UpstateBrushControl What kind of pads/Material are those? Would like to use myself! Thanks. Very informing videos, just started up looking forward to your content.
Greetings John, I love your videos and appreciate your time and content. I picked up an ASV RT-75 MS and will be doing my own maintenance as well. Dealer recommended change fluids after 50 hr break in. Could you please publish videos like this as you go? Your experience is incredibly helpful, cheers!
How quick do you have to do an oil change once a month quarterly what? Meaning like how often do you rack up 250 hours or whatever interval you change them?
How do you bleed the fuel system when changing the fuel filters. I'm picking one of these machines up but the owner's manual doesn't say anything about bleeding the fuel system. My old RC85 has an electronic fuel pump. This one looks like it has a manual primer on it. Anything to bleed up on the engine. Thx
I did not state the last comment correct. You are running Viking swords. I run the Viking Axe Knife, which has a flat front instead of the V. I have never tried the Sword. Can you explain the difference in performance between the two?
So the Axe, I think is more for the dcr heads and the sword is more for the fgt style drum. The sword is more like a plow when it hits material, its cutting or scooping the material. The axe is just as it sounds, more chopping.
I have the smooth drum BH74SS on my 120F, I run ther flat faced knives, they work really well on mine, it has a vacuum affect on smaller debris and I don't have to actually drag the head against the ground as much. Also, if you lay under ther rear of the machine you can unscrew the oil filter completely, then rest it on that hose in the way of getting it out from the bottom. Then go outside and remove the filler without having to lower the track.
Can you give me a ball park of the operating cost per hour of this 120? I'm looking to get a VA small business loan to start this kind of work in Southern AR. I'm trying to put together a business plan right now, and I could use all the helpful information I can get. Thanks in advance.
Looking to add a machine like this to my outfit and wanted to hear from someone with real-world experience about track retention. Does the ASV throw tracks when driver over rocks and stumps like other machines?
Good video Jon, very deceptive bc at the GIE the ASV guy told us and it looked very easy to get to the filters. How do you clean in the field? Just blow it off or do you lift the cab?
We don't lift the cab in the field, we typically lift the cab every couple of weeks at the shop. On the job we use a little gas powered leaf blower to clean it.
Hey man wondering if you could help me. Can seem to get answers from ASV dealer Just replaced all hydraulic filters and fuel lift pump. Is their any priming needed for either? It says not to fill filters specifically and I don’t want to damage anything. Thanks man love your vids
Just rolled over 1000 hrs. I wish I could get past 200. Mine has spent the better part of a year getting warranty work done to it. I will never buy an ASV again for as long as I live.
have you ever talked to ASV about the location of the filters? guess the engineers who designed it never had to actually service them..and really like the way you keep your shop clean..great tools and equipment...keep up the good work and wear safety goggles as much as you can..
I have 905hr on mine, only had an issue with the hydraulic hose at first, then they sent ther milled metal block that fixed that issue. Nothing since then.

Great idea on the pads you added to reduce dust under cab.
Thanks. Do you still have your 120? How's it running for ya?

Saw a clear cut land here today. Tons of brush left. Was thinking y'all turn it all to chips 👍🏻
Loved the video. What a ridiculous place to put the oil filter though. God bless
I know right?!
Real nice machine ya got there, thanks for showin er off ,,appreciate ya

Out of curiosity, where is the battery located on these and do these jumpstart just like a car? Thanks. Loved the video.

We've never filled the filters, just run it for a minute, go through the motions, then top everything back off with fluids. Hope that helps!

I have not spoken with ASV about the filters, but I'm supposed to be meeting with ASV soon.
Hmmm never seen Sam clean his 🤔
When I was there we actually lifted the cab and it was actually very clean on the inside.
So how do you like asv now with almost 1000 hrs. What has been the most problem with your machine ?
There really aren't any issues.
I have 905hr on mine, only had an issue with the hydraulic hose at first, then they sent ther milled metal block that fixed that issue. Nothing since then.
Do you grease all the fittings every 100 hours or so?
More like every 8 hours. We grease the whole machine at the end of every day.
So after 1000 hrs of run time would you recommend this machine?
Absolutely! I wish I had two of them.
I wouldve left it outside and blew all the dirt,. leaves etc out with an air compressor then brought it in
That's what we normally do, but it was raining outside.
Wouldn't be easier to like dig a pit in your garage to drive all your stuffs over and do oil changes like that
I would, but it's not my garage. Just renting.
What kind of hydraulic oil do you use for that machine?

They could not put all filters in the back of the machine with a bobcat backdoor for access wtf
HOT pressure wash drys better
It also costs a lot of money.
