    UBC what you need is A: a maintenance pit or B: have a concrete ramp built outside to raise the ASV`s up for easier maintenance......If I remember in a previous video you mentioned you are renting that property is there any chance the building owner would allow you to have a raised concrete platform outside that would be a lot better to pressure blow debris and pressure wash the machines.....Another great UBC insight video.....Stay Safe UBC

    Hi John on the farm i worked we had a 4 inch steel pipe with nozzels all the way along and when a vehicle or implement came in we parked it over the pipe turned on the water and ALL the muck from the bottom was removed. As your pressure is low a small tank and presurre pump will be needed. Saves lots of time. Regards Billy

    Good change of pace, and necessary. Jon have you ever considered investing into a lift for the shop? It would make if much easier to work on the 120's and everything else you own. They're not that expensive; a 6-8 ton 2 post "Atlas" lift is approx $4k. A 120 is approx 11k lbs. so you'd be fine. *God bless.*

      I have looked into it, I just don't have the floor space for one.

      It's hard to tell just how wide your shop is; anyway just a thought. Have a great week.

    They need to retrofit a wire mesh or perforated plate to go between the fans and the condenser. Apparently the Condenser needs armor on both sides. And keep the good parts from the old fans to combine into one good one. They don’t take up much space so well worth keeping at the rate it appears you are going thru them. Definitely need AC in SC.
    Just my $.02.

    Could you install a heavy duty screen between the fans and the condenser?

    • @UpstateBrushControl
      @UpstateBrushControl  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not sure, I'd have to look at it. Stuff would probably get trapped in it.

      @@UpstateBrushControl , cheaper to remove debris than to replace another condenser. (parts & YOUR time). Just saying.

    Thanks for the look into your maintenance day. It’s also good to see Micah back and moving around well. He’s a great addition to the team. I couldn’t help but notice your fan problem. Looks like poor quality manufacturing did you in, ironically on one of the most expensive parts. If this video shows anything, it’s the beating your machines take. We usually don’t think of that when we watch you and the guys in action. What also amazed me was the amount of crap you removed from the machines. It really builds up. A fascinating look at what goes into keeping your machines in good condition.

  • @RangieNZ

    AC issues: Maybe add a spacer between pusher fans and mount plate (- run an extra nut down the stud first?), to keep the blades slightly further away from the condenser. Might want to add a small foam gasket as well, to block the small gap that would be created around the edge of the fans.

    • @bazzinbulgaria4826
      @bazzinbulgaria4826 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @RangieNZ...right on the money! Cheap and effective fix. I'd use the firm/solid foam stuff because it holds together much better.

    Two US Army terms. Foreign Object Damage (FOD) and the wash rack. Armor crewman learn how keeping the tracks clean results in less unscheduled maintenance. We never let the mud get that hard. It results in excessive wear in track components.

    Congrats on the new pressure washer should do a great job cleaning! Looks like the ac condenser fan was just brittle and grenaded a few blades off ,Didn’t look like there was no damage to the shroud below the fan, ? Are the fan shrouds plastic? Thanks for the video !👍👋
