FYI ..The WASP arrangement with the US Army Air Forces ended on December 20, 1944. During its period of operation, each member's service had freed a male pilot for military combat or other duties. They flew over 60 million miles; transported every type of military aircraft; towed targets for live anti-aircraft gun practice; simulated strafing missions and transported cargo. Thirty-eight WASP members died during these duties and one, Gertrude Tompkins, disappeared while on a ferry mission, her fate still unknown. In 1977, for their World War II service, the members were granted veteran status, and in 2009 awarded the Congressional Gold Medal. RESPECT L'est We Forget....
You are the best furnace technician I have ever seen! The instant you turned on the thermostat, my furnace started! How did you do that?! Ha, ha. Talk about long distance remote servicing! That should make your day. Happy Birthday, Xena!
Hi Joey and Zena. Best wishes from England, just found and subscribed to your channel now i watch every day and look forward to it. When we get an inch of snow there is chaos and i take my hat off to you for what you have to do to survive. Thanks for giving us your content long may it continue. Take it easy both of you. 😊
thank you for joining us from the homeland. my great grandparents came to canada from england in 1926 to enjoy farming in wide open spaces. yes a little snow over there stops everything now like the 5 hot days of summer over here. thansk
Good morning from Cape Cod ⛵ balmy 25 degrees but feels like 13. I don't see a problem with you showing the American flag honoring the ladies of Wasp. It seems to me people like complaining for nothing 😕 hopefully your furnace will hold out till spring, in the meantime I guess greasing it is helping. Thanks for your daily videos I really enjoy them, keep up the great work guys ✌️🇺🇲🇨🇦
nice temperatures for you and hopefully no wind. yes people like to complain and show how stupid they actually are. plus adims that do nothing when running a facebook makes it even worse. oh well the flag is to honor the ladies of WASP. thansk
Bearings are shot and you need a new motor, with a squirrel cage before the grease seeps into the armature and shorts out the windings. The part you're playing with inside the thermostat is the heat anticipator setting and is set with a meter measuring the correct amp draw.
we are very careful not to over lube to get in inside then we will have bigger problems. good to know on the thermostat, others reading will be learning too thansk
@@kingofobsolete4789 The heat anticipator is set so the temperature doesn't over shoot the temperature that it is set at. In essence it tricks the thermostat to thing it is warmer and making it shut off sooner so there's no temperature overshooting.
Grease for peace! BMW wanted stupid money for their fans. The squirrel cages always had a clip on one of the fins. NO way to re-balance. The trouble was that the sintered bronze bushing had run out of oil ,had seized to the shaft and the bushing was spinning in its mounts. Wabba waabba, The blade may be out balance, but the noise is due to a wallowed out bushing. 😎👍
that is all new to me and makes sense with less figuring on how much. i remember when grey hound bus had the bus pack for $5.00 anywhere in canada. thansk
Your electric furnace is intriguing. Some are more used to natural, LPG or oil. Same old fan tho! Heck, we can't get the sqirrel cage out to clean it! Your motor longevity practices are spot on. The fan in the house vibrates the whole building, just a bit. We're movers and shakers! No, we're not. Per usual, the flyboys are still sensitive about the wasps?... Good episode! Watched it twice. Love your flags!!!
yes the fan is sealed in here so hard to clean. oh well i buffed it as best i could. i think a new furnace will have a lot more sensor that will quit on a cold day. WASP is the women in aviation that flew the airplane to free up the men fighting on the front. they ladies did an excellent job but were never credited for what they did until most of them had grey hair and grand kids. to live in northern canada and recover a Beech 18 only to fight it was the wrong plane we were looking for but to find out it was flown by the ladies of WASP makes it even better. thansk

I guess if it takes forever to boil water in a low pressure system with the wood stove, you could boil some water in the microwave oven, while you're burning your lunch in it... just a thought...
When you spin the squirrel fan around slowly by hand, does it wobble or have a rise/fall to it (out of round)? Just a thought. I'm thinking along the lines of my old 10-speed bike, when a rim would go out of round and you'd have to tweak the spokes a bit.
