    HEDRICK SUMMIT DETAILS
    Cost of living with 19P meal plan is about $20,000
    Parking NOT included and NOT guaranteed (nearly impossible to get parking if you live on campus)
    Conveniently located next to The Study, a quick dining option that is open until 2 AM every night.
    Also right next to Sunset Recreational Center (pools, volleyball, rock climbing, etc.)
    This building is the farthest residence hall from campus but the walk only takes about 15 minutes (to North Campus).
    Some of the amenities this building offers:
    -AC/heating in each unit
    -Bathrooms cleaned weekly by university housekeeping
    -2 lounges on each floor (1 quiet, 1 noisy)
    -Conference room
    -Party room with foosball, TVs, and ping pong
    -On-site laundry room
    -Vending machine
    -Microwave
    -Water fountains on each floor
    -Front desk
    Overall I would definitely recommend living at Hedrick Summit. Check out my other videos to hear more about my experience and the pros/cons.

      how often did you pay and how much? My parents have my tuition but the money doesn’t cover dorms and they never saved up for that so I wanted to start working the summer before. I graduate this june. Also when is your first payment due? and is there anything like a down?

    Thanks for the vid! I just got revised my housing assignment from a deluxe triple to a plaza single here and had no idea what it looked like. Also, I love your quilt sheets!

    I watched your videos when I was trying to get into UCLA as a CC transfer, and now I was just assigned to the same dorm hall you were in, also in a single as well, lmao

      That's awesome! I think you will love it. It's really nice to have the privacy and Hedrick Summit is one of the nicest dorms in my opinion.

    How did you end up with a single? I know that most transfers get placed into triples. Could you explain more about your process and which buildings offer single dorms?

    • @HaileyDollarGoesToCollege
      @HaileyDollarGoesToCollege  5 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Pure luck! There's really no trick, just list all single options first on your app and cross your fingers. You can check out the UCLA housing website to find out more details about housing options and single dorms.

      Hailey Dollar, thank you! I’ll be applying this fall as a Comparative Literature major. So, I am trying to get all my info and trying to become as informed as possible.
      I have another question, I did a similar program as you did for Berkeley (I have binged watched your videos). However, my program was with UCLA (it was a five day program where I stayed on campus for five days and it follows well into this academic year with Saturday sessions and workshops). Was there a place in the application you added your participation with the program with Berkeley?

    • @HaileyDollarGoesToCollege

      Awesome! Sounds like an exciting program. There is an Activities & Awards section where you can list it. Good luck!

    I am considering UCLA for college, are the classic halls and/or the plaza suites noisy with loud drunken parties?

    • @HaileyDollarGoesToCollege
      @HaileyDollarGoesToCollege  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Dave, UCLA housing has quite hours after 10 PM and is also a substance free campus. This does not mean that parties never happen, but I'm pretty positive that it would get shut down quickly if it became too rowdy.

    Do you know if they prioritize my room type choices over my LLC choices?
    For context, I put singles at the top of my list, doubles next, and triples last. However, I also applied for the transfer LLC. I know the transfer LLC is only doubles and triples. Will this ruin my chance of getting a single? I would only like to be put in an LLC if singles are not available.

    • @HaileyDollarGoesToCollege
      @HaileyDollarGoesToCollege  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, if you indicate that you are interested in an LLC, then you will be placed in an LLC.

    How much does a single dorm in Hedrick Summit cost? Is it monthly payment or something else?

    • @HaileyDollarGoesToCollege
      @HaileyDollarGoesToCollege  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I included the fees I paid in the pinned comment. The cost of living goes up every year. You should check UCLA's Housing website for the most up to date information.

    Hi Hailey, I was assigned a triple Deluxe at DN and before accepting I was confused with the payment options. There is a G option which is OCH FinAid, should I go for that one if I'm hoping that my financial aid helps me pay for a part. What is your payment plan. Thank you 🙂

    • @HaileyDollarGoesToCollege
      @HaileyDollarGoesToCollege  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! I'm not really too well-versed when it comes to housing payments so I would recommend reaching out to Financial Aid or Housing. My payment plan was quarterly if that helps.

    • @HaileyDollarGoesToCollege
      @HaileyDollarGoesToCollege  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ricardo Muñoz I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t be. You’ll get a full list of what you’re allowed to bring before move in day. But just so you know there is a 3D printing lab on the hill that you can use at any time. It’s called the Maker’s Space.
