A95L is not bright enough for sports in a bright room but it's awesome in a light controlled room and has better viewing angles if you're off to the side. On angle, they look very close.
I currently have a Sony A80J OLED and I'm not in dire need for a TV. The smart move is to wait until late next year for the LG C5 which will most likely have MLA and be pushing over 1000 nits and I would go a size or 2 bigger for the same or a little more money. Also the Panasonic is currently $600 more and only available in 65"
Great job FOMO I like that you try to show differences with motion as hardly anyone else does this. My only nitpick is that when you were comparing IT Chapter 2 it's clear they are stuck on different frames (look at the shape of light coming off flashlight) my guess is the Pana has as processing delay like we often see on Sony. You can probably avoid this next time by choosing a scene that is not so hectic or frantic as she is waving the light around in the dark so much here. Depending on where you pause the Z95A or G4 can look like they have better highlights than the other. If you say the G4 has better highlights/pop then I'll take your word for it
Thanks for bringin in sports into consideration, yes sports, motion and upscaling is very important. More important than flashing lights or artificial colors. I did not know the a95l is dimming down so that was very helpful information. The King is like expected the panasonic. Cant wait for the mini led
Does the price gap become less of an issue when you factor audio into the equation? Reading everywhere that the Z95A doesn't need a soundbar, whereas the G4 for a lot of people will likely need one to get the equivalent levels to the Panasonic. Be interested in your thoughts.
With most of the these top tier TV's picture quality is so close and unless you have them side by side I doubt most people notice the difference so if that is your deciding factor in this battle I would save the $400 and go with the LG G4. Picture processing of cable or streaming content is the big difference maker for me since I personally watch that type of content the most. If the content I am watching doesn't look good then it doesn't matter to me all the other bells and whistles or great specs that the TV might have. I think processing 4K signals they all probably look great. I have favored Sony TV's in the past because of their outstanding upscaling and processing of cable or streaming content but I am open to buying any TV that can compete with Sony in regards to picture processing. Panasonic has has a good reputation for picture processing so I am glad to see them back in the U.S. market. The competition should help us consumers continue to get better TV's. You know the saying "A rising tide lifts all boats"
This is precisely the reason why all real tv manufacturers died. Consumers are no longer educated about video performance on displays and just want what they "think" is correct to their eye.
I'm not sure the G4 is the brightest u can buy the philips 909 and 959 has a brighter panel because it uses lg's newest mla which lgs g4 is not using for some weird reason

Thanks for this review. Can you also compare their Gaming Features such as HGIG mode? I bought a LG G4 and dont like its greenish color but it has HGIG which is important for Hdr gaming. How does Panasonic's HDR Gaming Mode fare? I'm very happy with the color and brightness of the Panasonic so want to learn more. People who, like me, need a TV with good color and HDR effects for gaming should also want to know that. After all, it's hard for the normal people to trial and error by constantly buying different TVs.
Great video FOMO. Way to show the haters that your reviews are balanced and unbiased. For me it would come down to size and price. Panasonic osnt worth it for higher price and no large sizes
Did you try using the AI option on Z95A to see if it accurately pics tge best tv image for streaming, cable, movie watching, gaming etc? Another review I watched talked about how the Panasonic had that option to automatically pick the best TV mode based on what content you were running.

In the umbrella scene, if you look at the sand, you will notice it's washed out compared to z95a which in his turn, looks washed out compared to bravia 9. Look at the fine details ( footprints) in the sand, g4 is the worst, next is z95a and best fine details is bravia 9. Sony still has the best picture quality! Hola, me ha encantado tu video. Pero la diferencia en precio no justifica la compra de Panasonic. Realmente en el uso diario, el G4 es fantástico y te da todo lo puedes necesitar. Esas pequeñas diferencias no son relevantes. Gracias, saludos
I wonder why sometimes when the price is mentioned for a specific TV, there’s no reference to what size it is for. I always have to look it up somewhere else.
It’s just a general observation and not just specific to this video, that I sometimes see prices mentioned but not the corresponding size for that price. I just wonder if there’s a standard size that prices are generally understood to be for.
But does it look better or phrased another way, does it look bad? Oversaturated compared to reference is not a personal reaction. It's a comparison with yes or no, right? Who cares what just one or so of what a half billion artistic people think. I have two skilled and well known artists on one side of my family, and they have very different ideas of what looks best... just creating something nice does not automatically make it the best version. They also make different looking stuff at 20 opposed to say at 70, so there is always room for refinement. Art is not the paper, paint, mode, or yes and no. It's about reactions and emotions. Deep inside past modes, past intellect, which sings to you?
@@davidrubec2759 ya it's not a huge deal, turning the color up or down is a simple fix It just seemed like the most spent a long time focusing on how the G4 was "under saturated" instead of noticing that the Panasonic was slightly oversaturated. If the Panasonic was a Hisense, I feel like he would have been calling it oversaturated. The truth of accurate is slightly in between the two. I have multiple modes for my TV and I'm not scared to adjust and use processing.
Sadly still strange clipping settings in professional tone mapping mode (especially on 4000 nits) on the G4, and it seems that the AI Brightness Control is enabled on the G4.
Love Panasonic, and would love to get one, just don't know if I want to deal with all the WOLED uniformity issues. If they come out with a QD OLED, that'd be amazing.
Man, I know all these flagship oled TVs are awesome, but many of us regular people also love TVs, and many of us do not have the luxury to spend $2,500-$4,500 just on a tv. Plus many of us do not have the use case for oled tvs. Between the family, friends, kids, my tv is on for a very long time everyday, so I’m not ready for an oled yet. Let’s show some mid range mini leds some love, so we can see how they perform against each other. W95a vs Bravia 7 vs u8n, etc. . Would appreciate it Fomo
Nice review. My personal preference would be to wait for the successor of Sony's QD-OLED A95L in 2025, which should be brighter. To be fair, I enjoy the popping colours of that technology and I feel that the compromise with it is less than the one associated with MLA.
Dont u know the king of accuracy got its crown for it. There is no other one as good as panasonics upscaling thanks to their best chip which starts from the mini led.

Finally, a Z95A review. Thanx FOMO. The G4 is a no brainer given its versatility and price. The Panasonic is an excellent choice for the purists amongst us but a bit expensive, so it’s down to Samsung and LG for performance and value. If Sony wasn’t selling the X90L by the hundreds they would be out of the TV business-the A95L was $700 more than the G4 and S95D just a few days ago, which puts it out of contention in my opinion-come on Sony, stay competitive or find a new partner.

There really isn't anything here to make me choose the Panasonic over the LG. I'm curious as to how well it cleans up low bit rate content and how well it upscales. That is what keeps me with Sony. I watch a ton of older content that has not been remastered to HD. If Panasonic can match Sony in upscaling this would make me consider the brand.

I’d love to get another Panasonic as soon as I can here in Canada or purchase one in the U.S. and have it delivered to my family in California then ship it to me but I’m in the heavy hitter category now and I’m only interested in 83”/85” TV’s or bigger so Panasonics OLED is a non starter and the only Mini LED tv I’d buy now is the Bravia 9 @85” so Panasonic is still a no go for me but I’m very excited to have them back nonetheless.
I just choose the LG4, I bought the G4 for its brightness, Panasonic is more expensive, and LG has a five-year panel warranty. It is always on Vivid, so I don't worry about it for five years.
Vivid looks horrible. Way too blue and overprocessed. Of course, if you're used to vivid, you'll think every other mode looks to yellow, even if they're more correct on a technical level.
@Tomiply totally disagree nothing is blue on my g4. All other settings are just too dark for me. I'm not going to try to fine-tune everything because then I can no longer make choices about what I think is perfect

Also the Panasonic is currently $600 more and only available in 65"
Should I upgrade from my qn90b to the s90d basically for gaming and movies?
Great job FOMO I like that you try to show differences with motion as hardly anyone else does this. My only nitpick is that when you were comparing IT Chapter 2 it's clear they are stuck on different frames (look at the shape of light coming off flashlight) my guess is the Pana has as processing delay like we often see on Sony. You can probably avoid this next time by choosing a scene that is not so hectic or frantic as she is waving the light around in the dark so much here. Depending on where you pause the Z95A or G4 can look like they have better highlights than the other. If you say the G4 has better highlights/pop then I'll take your word for it
Panasonic is the way to go for TV's.
I would go for the g4 for HDR Impact..
And you are 10 years old 😂
@@Horvat04 you are also not older than a 11 year old 😅
One of the best battle for G4 this year, G4 is the Nissan GT-R of the TV's, great review FOMO
I had a S90C 77" sold it and switched to the LG G4 65" for only 1200$
G4 all day any day and every day! Best overall TV on the planet.
I'm not sure the G4 is the brightest u can buy the philips 909 and 959 has a brighter panel because it uses lg's newest mla which lgs g4 is not using for some weird reason
Next comparison Z95A/A95L 😊🙏🏼
There is none 😂 a95l is dimming down its light. For grown men watching sports this is very stupid but im aware kids go for the other one
Not even a comparison a95L kills them all.

how many HDMI 2.1 ports on the Panasonic compared to LG?
FOMO can you tell us more about the Sony A95L dimming down problem please - perhaps in another video? Thanks
Which tv has better shadow detail in hdr?
hello, can you tell us which mode to choose between true cinéma and filmmaker mode? Thanks🙂
W95A review please. You guys should start with the low end, then the middle tier Z85, THEN do the Z95 last... build it up.
Z95a is $ 5k in Sweden.... How the difference
Hey Fomo , after calibration would these two look exactly the same?
No, color saturation on the G4 cannot be improved with calibration
@@stopthefomo that’s a bummer , good thing I don’t have a Z95A next to my 83 inch. Oh BTW with your recommendation I’m sitting about 7-8 feet away from my 83inch G4 and just set up the Bravia quads with SW5 sub. Never going to the movies again!
I wonder if Panasonic would ever use QD-OLED in their product line.
Great review, nice one!
Fomo, what would you recommend for 60% Movies in DV, 40% Gaming in controlled lighting? Sports, Price and TV Audio don't matter.
How much is the audio diff worth?
In the umbrella scene, if you look at the sand, you will notice it's washed out compared to z95a which in his turn, looks washed out compared to bravia 9. Look at the fine details ( footprints) in the sand, g4 is the worst, next is z95a and best fine details is bravia 9. Sony still has the best picture quality! A comparison between z95a and a95l would be interesting.
Hola, me ha encantado tu video. Pero la diferencia en precio no justifica la compra de Panasonic. Realmente en el uso diario, el G4 es fantástico y te da todo lo puedes necesitar. Esas pequeñas diferencias no son relevantes. Gracias, saludos
Where can you even buy the Z95A other than Amazon?
Best Buy

I wonder why sometimes when the price is mentioned for a specific TV, there’s no reference to what size it is for. I always have to look it up somewhere else.
Sorry I should’ve mentioned the Z95A only comes in 65” size!
@@stopthefomo. True and 55ins in other countries.
It’s just a general observation and not just specific to this video, that I sometimes see prices mentioned but not the corresponding size for that price. I just wonder if there’s a standard size that prices are generally understood to be for.
Based in the monitor at say 6:12 the panasonic is oversaturated.
@@davidrubec2759 ya it's not a huge deal, turning the color up or down is a simple fix
It just seemed like the most spent a long time focusing on how the G4 was "under saturated" instead of noticing that the Panasonic was slightly oversaturated.
If the Panasonic was a Hisense, I feel like he would have been calling it oversaturated.
The truth of accurate is slightly in between the two.
I have multiple modes for my TV and I'm not scared to adjust and use processing.
Sadly still strange clipping settings in professional tone mapping mode (especially on 4000 nits) on the G4, and it seems that the AI Brightness Control is enabled on the G4.
he never turns it off for some reason. i pointed this out on another video. this comparison is pointless!
I liked the Z95A the best in your tests apart from the motion one where it was terrible!
Nice can’t wait to watch this one
Z95A size restriction is a huge detractor.
I never thought I would hear tizen and snappy in the same sentence.
still A95L from Sony is the best TV ever just lacking 4× HDMI2.1
Surely part, if not all, of the extra cost of the Panasonic is accounted for by the inbuilt speaker system.
YOU cab turn off the frame creation on the Panasonic.
Nice review. My personal preference would be to wait for the successor of Sony's QD-OLED A95L in 2025, which should be brighter. To be fair, I enjoy the popping colours of that technology and I feel that the compromise with it is less than the one associated with MLA.
Best from lg is led 136” for $80k
When i see both pictures quality, i fell z95a has better picture quality and colors!!
Thanks
How’s Upscaling?

Finally, a Z95A review. Thanx FOMO. The G4 is a no brainer given its versatility and price. The Panasonic is an excellent choice for the purists amongst us but a bit expensive, so it’s down to Samsung and LG for performance and value. If Sony wasn’t selling the X90L by the hundreds they would be out of the TV business-the A95L was $700 more than the G4 and S95D just a few days ago, which puts it out of contention in my opinion-come on Sony, stay competitive or find a new partner.
Do you think the Sony 85” X90L ($1,899.99) is still a good value for someone on a budget that wants the Sony reliability, the XR clear processor and a big screen? How much lower do you think it’ll go on Black Friday? I’m planning to get mine from Costco for the upgraded backlight remote and the included 5 years warranty. I wish I could buy the 85” Bravia 9 ($4,799.99), but I don’t think it’s worth paying almost $3K more for my usage (movie and TH-cam streaming). What do you think? Thanks!
Sony is overpriced, panasonic can give you more for the money

I like it , i can NOT love it tho, since QD-OLED/ Mini LED both ahead of WOLED now due to combo of (Brightness + color Density/volume). So its strange they ad doing WOLED now not 5 yr earlier.

Stop the Fomo: Just one comment regarding the Army of the dead scene: This is one scene that lasts a few seconds.. There is something wrong with that scene, maybe CGI and footage is not in sync. There are no issues in the entire rest of the movie.. From 2 hours of the movie a few seconds judder extremely. This is not a stutter benchmark scene, it just a broken scene. 🙂
Wow. That looked really bad. I haven't watched the movie , only checked this one scene. No issues with samsung qn900b all motion settings off.
cant believe they pricing it higher than the g4.. that's panasonic for you...
I love Panasonic and my last one was the DX900 from 2016 which I chose over the Sony Z9D. It served me extremely well until fall 2022 when I purchased the Samsung QN90B and two months later the LG G2.
There's no fun in backing up too much, 77 on the table and 8.5ft is much better, I really don't know how you guys like these sizes.
"Schooling it"
a TV that doesn't even come with MLA in 77" size ?! 😆
Err....nope.
I just choose the LG4, I bought the G4 for its brightness, Panasonic is more expensive, and LG has a five-year panel warranty. It is always on Vivid, so I don't worry about it for five years.
Vivid 💀💀💀
Just buy a cheap qled if you want a bright image 🤣
@pietroscarpa2384 Who else wants a qled most qled don't reach the brightest. 🤣🤣
I also bought G4, and is it really worth to pay that much extra for Z95A?
Give up already Panny Lovers.

LG doesn't sell those larger MLA panels to them for a reason. Now go enjoy your dim 77" Z95A, while I enjoy my bright and colorful 77" A95L QD Oled✌
Too bad this set doesn't support DTS or ATSC 3.0.
Way too close. You can just bump up the color a tad. DONE.
Bumping up Color setting compresses color not increasing colors. It just makes it so you see more intense red, green, blue rather than more shades of it.
@@FuIIDiveVR the shades aren’t the problem. They are there. It’s the intensity. We are splitting hairs as it is with these TVs. Pushing it up 1 or 2 would probably bring them on par. TVs can be slightly adjusted without it being detrimental.
