Nice work. Just to clarify, the F-Channel can be installed as ypu have it (when siding will be installed later & the nailer part of the F-Channel will be concealed). However, it can sldo be installed upside down for example when soffits & facia are installed on an existing house that has brick walls. I did just that on my house.

Exterioor foam on wall sheathing? No airlow flow soffit vents for loft. Exhaust also. - Insulation reflective foil??
Drive a nail at the end of where the f channel goes. Hook your chalk line to it and pull the line to the other end. You'll wear yourself out running up and down a ladder and every mark you make is a chance for error.

Why doesnt the main house have a gable overhang?
It’s pretty dumb that it doesn’t, we weren’t the original owners but it’s a modular build so everything was cheap. 😂
First thing I noticed lol😅. But it wouldn't take much to add it on though.
The only drawback is the person living in the addition will have no direct access to the main building. It is a headache when the person needs to use the bathroom at night. Is it possible to open a door on the main building for the new addition?
