Will be hiring for the first time in a few weeks and this was very informative. I like to understand what I’m paying my accountant for and I would recommend an accountant/cpa for anyone in business. Ignorance is no longer an excuse.
IRS takes 30% of my income in CA Then I have to pay an employee a wage Then pay payroll tax Then pay Medicare Then pay workers comp… How in the heck am I supposed to profit after all my costs? Seems impossible!
I have a cleaning business, and I'm trying to learn what I need to put in place before expanding and hiring employees, so that i can eventually retire (i just turned 25) if you bave any tips or suggestions i am open! I'll definitely watch this video MANY times in the near future!
Seems it would be easier to just outsource a company to handle certain tasks instead of hiring employees the costs are too much for a startup - The business needs to pay its own taxes - Business then pays employees - Business also pays accountant for payroll - Business pays taxes for each employee - Business needs to provide benefits and sometimes employees need more pay. What does the business get at the end of this?
Great video! I'm trying to decide between Square and Quickbooks for payroll. It looks like Square has pay as you go workers comp so I'm leaning towards them
If I own a business and my friend owns a business. Can we employ each other just to show mortgage brokers we have a job instead of showing the 2years of income based off our 1099 business?
