I registered my LLC in AZ. I had to fill out 1 page and pay $20. In IL, I had to fill out a binder of paperwork and pay close to $800, jajajajajaja.
This was many years ago, so I'm not sure if it has changed, but yes, the differences from state to state are insane.

Why didn't you mention the use of a p.o. box instead of a home address?

Because the section dealt specifically with privacy concerns. Plus, I’ve seen home addresses being used a lot more than P.O. boxes.
