So cool using car speakers! Loved the tone with the tube amp! 🎸

Love this. My father in law bought me some speakers for our car but we traded it in and never did anything with em. Bought him squire strat and hes been jamming on that with headphones. Time to make hisnday!

Man thanks you enlightened me to do a rehouse on 15w combo amp with 8”. I always wanted a 2x12”. I got my eyes on set of 12” karaoke speakers which is cheaper than “guitar speaker”.

Thanks for checking it out. Not a lot of people catch that reference so thanks for noticing.

I love the surprise on your face when you plug in the tube amp. You look around as if to say "Something's wrong here... this can't be right, it sounds too good." It was a real pleasure to watch this whole video. Really surprising that a set of 'very cheap car speakers' sound so good. Maybe their response is just perfect for guitar, or maybe the way you've built the cabinet is just right.

That is exactly what I was thinking. LOL. "Wait... this should sound like trash. How did this work out?" I guess some combinations just work. 👍 Thanks for watching.

I want to rehouse a 4" small Yamaha practice amp I got from a very good friend (we used to play with it in our band some 15 years ago) and was wondering if car speakers would do the trick. Good video

I bought an outdoor speaker cabinet at a thrift store for $5 and did a few wiring mods to make it into a guitar cabinet. Old speakers are often available at thrift stores although the quality and condition vary a lot.

Absolutely... and a perfect comment to showcase the theme of this video. Use what you have or what you can find for cheap. You may be pleasantly surprised. Thanks for checking it out.

That's great to hear. You could easily wire it with an 1/8" jack or RCA jacks to be more "consumer" friendly.

How is the volume on this little speakers? Think it could keep up with a small drum kit or a bar gig? I’d love to make a 8 speaker cab with 4inch speakers. I just think it’d be funny

I haven't tried it but I can't think of a reason that wouldn't work. An 8x4" guitar cab might sound pretty cool actually. Phil Jones Bass makes an 9x5" bass cab called the C-9, look it up.

I can't find a credit for the blues solo in the middle. Is that you playing? It's very sweet with some beautiful moments, I skipped back to listen to that again.

Alas, it is not. I did a search for royalty free blues clips and found that one. I was really nicely played though. This one is 100% me th-cam.com/video/DduchgdRyLU/w-d-xo.html and this one too th-cam.com/video/zisvH2KxBHg/w-d-xo.html😁
