Hi Kale, maybe you remember me from a certain pvc didgeridoo project? 😃 Well, now I've just found this particular video of yours. I just built this flute and it plays great - thank you so much!! I made a distinct variation, though, because instead of the mouthpiece and plug arrangement I just cut a rectangular notch in the top of the pipe to play it like a South American quena flute. I called the notch at the top of the pipe the zero "reference point" to measure from and mark out the hole locations. In other words, I subtracted 1 inch from each of the lengths on the diagram because my flute is only 13.5 inches long. Thanks again Kale!
Good to hear from ya Paul. I'm glad to hear another one of my vids was helpful to someone. Though realistically, I have to give credit to Charlie, I just followed his tutorial. I'm glad you were able to make it your own. I really appreciate the comment.
I think that's a great idea. This was my first attempt and it wasn't half bad. If I made another, I'm sure it would be better. By the time you may 3 or 4, you'll be an expert.
Wow... sounds just like the one Kokopelli used to play around the fires when we celebrated the Beaver Moon. Nice job Kale. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving.
