Nice footage! Always loved the Northwest "Bowling Shoe" livery. I vaguely remember seeing them in the UK at London Gatwick and London Heathrow (briefly) before Delta merged with them, I would have loved to have flown on NWA! Its odd to think the A320 was a brand new aircraft back in 1992, given how common place the type is in 2024!
It still blows my mind that Delta still has a LOT of the older build A320s. I flew N328NW that was built in January of 1992 and said aircraft is a few months older older than my ex-girlfriend I took the flight with. As long as it's properly maintained and there's still life in the airframe, I'm happy to fly on a 30 year old aircraft.
My first Christmas! We have home videos at my grandparent's house that day. Now I'm a Dad and an airline pilot. Such a different world in so many ways.
I remember when I was living in great falls Montana I flew to msp from there to cid and I was on a airbus 320 on northwest airlines and I also remember when they merged with delta
I remember hearing the mic cut off briefly and back on again whenever the pilot threw the engine generators on the bus

Couldn’t, help but notice the amount of leg room to the left of where you were filming from……flying was so much fun back then!

Always loved that iconic "buzzsaw" sound of the P&W JT8D engines. Good stuff indeed! 👍 👍

I miss Northwest Airlines.
The second jet is an MD-82. I can tell by the hydraulic and engine sounds.
Agreed, that's definitely a Mad Dog.
Remember doing power backs at dfw in the AA md 80s. Flew many times on those from Nashville to Sacramento via DFW
I worked that MD 82 and most likely that ship. Old NWA worker here
I really miss the 90s and early 2000s

Good hard landings there great vintage video🙂
Great vid!
The ending that's the MD80.
13:40 still has the Republic Airlines grey seats
1:40 fuel being introduced on engine start
