Love a vintage kitchen. I have the tiles that match your plates in my 1958 OG kitchen. I think it is Franciscan Starburst?? Still have the 1958 Western Holly oven too. I spied a very nice collection of jadeite in your cupboard I think.
A glorious Christmas Day evening. I enjoyed the ornament exchange. So much fun and beautiful things to choose from. Merry Christmas 🎄 ❤
Bring back Supper Clubs;!!! Wonderful video!!
Thank you for sharing this. For years I have passed this building where my first wife once sang for some reason. She'd pointed it out to me 30 years ago. It's nice to see what it was like.
Anthony, it looks great. They did a really good job. I had the roof on my house redone about 5 years ago. Took about a week but well worth it.
We can relax knowing that there should be no leaks when the rain starts.
Looks like floral park area, flower street. My grandparents live there.
Actually the home is south of Floral Park in 'Wilshire Square' on South Van Ness Avenue.
Such a sweet lady I miss her
Yes she was. I miss her too.....
That was awesome! Thank you for sharing this. I remember my father's attorney, Patti Karger, took us to dinner there in the late '50s and early 60s. My brother nudged me and whispered "order the chateaubriand". It was a completely different world then.
I started working on 1st st in 1999 and got to have lunch here a few times. Even by then I could tell that the lustre of the 60s had worn off, but it was still really neat to see it. Then later, they added that little patio with a big cactus plant and glass walls to create an outdoor dining space, but I never saw it being used. The Da Vinci restaurant next door was really nice, too and was still operating at that time. We'd pop over for lunch occasionally. The fact that they built that abomination behind it, yet left the restaurant and parking lot intact, makes me think the owner has some type of plan here. I'm certainly hoping! We need classic, big open restaurants with banquet space. The former Marie Callender's down the street on the Tustin side was another treasure, now lost.
Nice footage! Always loved the Northwest "Bowling Shoe" livery. I vaguely remember seeing them in the UK at London Gatwick and London Heathrow (briefly) before Delta merged with them, I would have loved to have flown on NWA! Its odd to think the A320 was a brand new aircraft back in 1992, given how common place the type is in 2024!
Always a happening place 🎉
Congrats! I currently work at the PO as RCA and I see there is an opening for MVO. I have my class A license with hazmat endorsement. I am really thinking of resigning my current position and going for MVO.
Sad when it closed. I liked dining there. The prime rib was great. We were regulars at the Jolly Knight too!

Thanks for the video! We were there last Monday in room #4
Santa Ana. Go over the bridge if you want to be in Tustin.
I was only 5 years old and I vaguely remember the demolition. My grandma lived on the corner of main and edinger and my cousins and I would sneak into the lot and we’d be able to hear our grandma calling out to us.
I was only 1 😝
Can we go back to this time? Pretty much the last great decade 😭
Wish i could go back to this time. Watertown was awesome growing up as a child in the 90s
Anthony & Carlos, A beautiful delicious brunch. The garden is stunning. Thank you for sharing. Warm regards from us. 😊
🎉cheers to you mate
It still blows my mind that Delta still has a LOT of the older build A320s. I flew N328NW that was built in January of 1992 and said aircraft is a few months older older than my ex-girlfriend I took the flight with. As long as it's properly maintained and there's still life in the airframe, I'm happy to fly on a 30 year old aircraft.
My first Christmas! We have home videos at my grandparent's house that day. Now I'm a Dad and an airline pilot. Such a different world in so many ways.
Hello there. You made this video 6 years ago. I was wondering if you still live in the Canyon? I was there last week, it had been about 15 years since I went there. How do you like or liked living in the Canyon? I want to buy a house there.
I don't live in the canyon, I live in nearby Santa Ana. That was just an impromptu day trip to the Wildlife Sanctuary. I was there again about a year ago to discover that the Sanctuary was no longer open. It's a lovely area and is still rustic and natural.
@@reichardtvideotheater4276 I see. I was there two weeks ago, and the sanctuary was open, I read the sign about snakes, and I decided not to go in as I was wearing flip flops 🩴. I love those canyons 🥰. Thank you for replying back to me. Nice video!
I'm glad to know it is open again! It's time to go take in the quiet beauty again.👍🏻😉
The ending that's the MD80.
Grew up in Orange. Graduated first class of Villa Park High School. Was a member of Tom Newmans' traveling high school madrigal choir that performed there on a couple of occasions. Also dined there many times as a teenager with my family and as an adult with my wife and children. Great restaurant with excellent food. Good times and memories.
Very beautiful and calming ❤❤❤
Great video! You were way ahead of the current plane vloggers! The pilot was like wow someone videoed my flight.
Amazing how a place can be so full of life one moment, and then utterly devoid of it the next.
“I am free” love that word at the end.
Seven years later and that phrase, 'I am free', couldn't be anymore true. Retirement at 55 years old was an absolute gift.😁👍🏻
Anthony, just so gorgeous and listening to the water is so relaxing. The colour of the orchid at the start is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Yes Angie, Carlos is very happy with that new potted 'friend' of his😉.
Gahhh! I can't see! Do the close ups later :)
I just read about Zwieg's great cheese burgers and am planning a day trip from MKE to try them out. Just tried Wedl's in Jefferson and their's were very tasty. I''m a recent LA transplant now living in downtown MKE and I am really enjoying the history of WI's long time eating establishments, especially burger joints and supper clubs. Thanks for the nice video!

Anthony, a beautiful warm tribute to your dear friend. May she RIP always 🌹
Thank you Angela
Thank you Anthony for this beautiful keepsake video celebrating my Mom!
Wendy, I am glad to have captured video of your beautiful eulogy. What a wonderful showing of Paula's friends and family.
My brother and I grew up a block from Silver Creek pond I would put money on us being out there when you drove by that day thanks for the memories
I was also at Silver Creek Pond watching the ice skaters during the day on December 28, 1992. Maybe you both were there at that time as well..... th-cam.com/video/fHQALq2fqGk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=6r7Ycjrq1nMIWaJL
I have a Class A. Does MVO require a CDL - A or B?
B
This haunts me well.
I think about this old restaurant all the time. Thank you for sharing this.
I’ve died and gone to heaven WOW impressive
thank you so much for this video
I remember when I was living in great falls Montana I flew to msp from there to cid and I was on a airbus 320 on northwest airlines and I also remember when they merged with delta
Hot damn this incredible, thank you for this! My Dad was friends with Ron and we'd go here a lot when I was a kid and this video is like hopping back into a time machine - I can still remember the smell walking through the front doors to this day. With this place as my inspiration, I've been writing a series of essays about desolate restaurants and this is an incredible piece of help. The confused observation about the coat area at 3:55 is something I write about too!
Ah, yes....the 'coat area'. A lot of years have passed since I filmed that night and I still think the concept of an open coat area is interesting. Now in 2024, I imagine not everyone partakes in that. Sad, really. The old time, mid-western supper club era was something quite special.
What’s the name of the song at the beginning ??
Harry Betts Orchestra and Chorus - A TIME FOR LOVE (LP - 20th Century-Fox 3192 - 1967)
Great vid!
Man i used to work there as a kid in high school. The chief of Santa Ana police worked there too. He was the assistant manager in the receiving department. We once pranked the administration department upstairs calling from our checkout counter phone by asking them to page a Mr. Meoff, first name Jack. THEY ACTUALLY DID and me n the other dude i worked with were dying of laughter. We heard one of the other girls laughing in the background through the intercom system followed by a slam of the phone. The old lady with the librarian glasses with the chain that goes around the back of the neck was coming down the escalator right to our counter and looked PISSED. I had to duck and pretend to straighten out stuff in the cabinets while trying not to explode while the other dude remained cool as a cucumber denying it was us cuz they saw the extension of the phone. So she said, it's probably one of those Mexicans in receiving and started to walk over there to chew some ass. When she was out of sight we were crying. Oh man i miss the good ol days.
Absolutely mind blowing! I bought something from them at the pacific orchid expo in San Francisco years ago, but I had no idea their operation was so massive.
Was 17 when you shot this. Wow all those stores that are now nothing. Forgot about all the house that gone in place of walgreesn
